6#8b. IndraaNi Devi

The Devaas and sages were helpless by these specific commands made by Nahushan. They asked Bruhaspati, “What is wrong if IndraaNi accepts Nahushan as her new husband?”

Bruhaspati replied, “As the new Indra, Nahushan can enjoy all the pleasures of Heaven but he can not enjoy the wife of another person. All the Saastraas forbid it. She has taken refuge in me and I will protect her and her virtue at any cost”

The Devaas and sages said now, ” Nahushan has changed a lot and become very adamant and arrogant. He can cause us a lot of troubles if he feels displeased.”

They evolved a scheme. IndraaNi should pretend to accept Nahushan’s claim but she must buy some time during which Indra had to be located and their future course of action planned.

IndraaNi must go to Nahushan and say that she wanted to know about the fate of her husband by a certain time limit before accepting him as her husband.

Accordingly IndraaNi went to Nahushan tense and worried wondering what was in her fate?

2f. அலங்கரித்தல்.

அழகிற் சிறந்த தெய்வயானைக்கு
அழகுக்கழகு செய்ய விரும்பினர்.

கூந்தலை நெய் தடவி நீராட்டினர்;
கூந்தலுக்கு அகிற்புகை ஊட்டினர்;

அணிவித்தனர் தலைக் கோலங்களை;
அணிவித்தனர் ஆடை அணிகலன்களை.

கருஞ்சாந்தில் நெற்றியில் பொட்டு!
கழுத்தில் புலிமுகம் பதித்த பதக்கம்.

வளைகள்; குலுங்கும் மாலைகள்!
தோள்களில் சேர்ந்தன தொடிகள்;

திருமால், இந்திரன் பிரமன் சென்றனர்
அறுமுகன் திருக்கோவில் அடைந்தனர்.

“தெய்வயானையைத் திருமணம் புரிந்திட
தேவரீர் எழுந்தருள வேண்டும்!” என….

அரியணையிலிருந்து இறங்கிய முருகன்
அரிய மயில் மீது அமர்ந்தான் சென்று.

தேவர்கள் தொழுதனர் மலர்ப்பதம்.
தேவர்கள் பொழிந்தனர் மலர்மாரி.

கதிரவன் திங்கள் வெண்குடை பிடிக்க;
காற்றுக் கடவுள் வெண்சாமரம் வீச;

வருணன் சுழற்றினான் ஆலவட்டங்கள்;
வாட்படை ஏந்தி நடந்தான் நமன்,

நிலம் அதிரக் கூவியது சேவற்கொடி;
ஒலித்தன உலகெல்லாம் நான் மறைகள்;

ஆரவாரம் செய்தனர் அரம்பையர்கள்,
ஆர்ப்பரித்தன மங்கல வாத்தியங்கள்;

பாடி ஆடினார் அற்புத தேவ மகளிர்,
பாடினர் இன்னிசை வித்தியாதரர்கள்,

திருமண மண்டபத்தை அடைந்தான் முருகன்
திரும்பிய இடமெல்லாம் மகிழ்ச்சி கடல்!

தேவ மங்கையர் சுற்றினார் ஆலத்தி!
தேவர்கள் அரசி வந்தாள் எதிரே!

காமதேனுவின் பாலால் கழுவினாள்
காமனை ஒத்த முருகன் திருவடிகளை.

மலர்களையும், மாலையையும் புனைந்து
மணமண்டபதை அடைந்தான் முருகன்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

5#2f. The Bride.

The beautiful bride was made more beautiful! Her hair was washed and dried with the fumes emitted by burning the fragrant incenses. She wore silk clothes and jewels studded with precious gems.

She had a black thilakam on her forehead and a tiger pendent in her neck.
She wore bangles, chains and ornaments on her arms.

Brahma, Indra and Vishnu invited Murugan to the wedding hall. Murugan got down from his throne sat on his peacock. The Deva worshiped him.

The Sun and The moon held the royal white umbrellas. Vaayu blew gentle wind with chaamaram. Varuna held the aalavattam and Naman walked guarding the procession with his sword.

The crowing of the cock shook the entire world. The Vedas were chanted,
the apsaras and the musical instruments filled the air with divine music. The apsaras and Vidhyaadaraas sang and danced with joy.

Murugan reached the wedding hall. There was happiness everywhere. The apsaras took haarathi. Indrani washed the feet of Murugan with the milk of Kamadenu.

Adorned with flowers and garlands, Murugan reached the wedding hall.

13c. இரண்டு சீதைகள்

தந்தை சொல் மிக்க மந்திரம் இல்லை எனத்
தன்னாட்டை விடுத்துக் கனகம் ஏகினான்

தம்பியுடனும், சீதையுடனும் ஸ்ரீ ராமன்.
தங்கினர் பஞ்சவடியில் அமைதியுடன்.

தையல் சீதையைத் தாக்கினாள் – ராமனிடம்
மையல் கொண்டுவிட்ட அரக்கி சூர்ப்பனகை.

காது, மூக்கு அறுபட்டு அலறி ஓடிச் சென்று
ஓதினாள் சீதையின் அழகை ராவணனிடம்.

காமம் கொண்டான் கண்டிராத சீதைமீது!
ஏமாற்றினான் ஒரு மாய மானை அனுப்பி!

அப்புறப்படுத்தினான் ராம, லக்ஷ்மணர்களை.
அபகரித்தான் சீதையைப் பர்ணசாலையுடன்.

“அபாயம் நேரக் கூடாது சீதைக்கு!” என்று
உபாயம் ஒன்று. செய்தான் அக்கினிதேவன்

வேதவதியுடன் வந்தான் விரைந்து வெளியில்!
வேகமான ராவணனை மறித்தான் வழியில்!

“உண்மை சீதை இருக்கிறாள் என்னிடம்;
உன்னிடம் இருப்பவள் ஒரு மாயச் சீதை.

எடுத்துச் செல் இந்த உண்மை சீதையை!
விடுத்துச் செல் அந்த மாயச் சீதையை!”

நம்பினான் அக்கினியின் சொற்களை ராவணன்;
அம்பென விரைந்தான் வேதவதியுடன் இலங்கை.

சீதையை விட்டு விட்டான் அக்கினிதேவனிடம்;
சீதையை விட்டான் ஸ்வாஹாவிடம் அக்கினி.

ராவணன் அழிந்தபின் அக்கினிப் பரீட்சை
ராமன் செய்யச் சொன்னன் வேதவதியிடம்.

வலம் வந்தாள் அக்கினியை மூன்று முறை;
வணங்கினாள் ராமனை; இறங்கினாள் தீயில்!

வெளிப்பட்டார் அக்கணமே அக்கினி தேவன்!
வெளிப்பட்டனர் அவருடன் இரண்டு சீதைகள்!

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

#13c. Two Sitaas!

Sri Raman went for vana vaasam with his younger brother LakshmaN and wife Sitaa, as commanded by his father Dasaratha. They lived in Panchavadi in peace. Soorpanakha (RaavaN’s sister) fell in love with Rama and wanted to marry him. She tried to hurt Sitaa who was a hindrance to her one sided love.

LakshmaN punished her by chopping off her nose and ears. Soorpanakha went back to Lanka and ignited lust in the mind of RaavaN – by talking about the nonpareil beauty of Sitaa.

RaavaN was infatuated with the Sitaa whom he has not seen yet. He sent a fancy deer and got Rama and LakshmaN out of his way. He abducted Sitaa along with her parNa saalaa.

Agni was worried abut the safety of Sitaa in the hands of RaavaN. He came forward with the Vedavati – who had jumped into fire earlier, but whom he had saved unhurt and protected with great respect.

Agni told RaavaN, “This lady with me is the real Sitaa. The one with you is Maaya Sitaa. Please take this real one and leave behind the Maaya one.”

RaavaN trusted Agni’s words completely. He left behind the lady abducted from Panchavadi and went to Lanka with Vedavati instead.

After RaavaN was killed in the war, Rama asked Sitaa to go through the Agni Pareeksha. She (Vedavati) went round the fire thrice, paid her respect to Rama and jumped in to the fire.

Immediately Agni Devan emerged from the flames. There were two Sitaas with him now.

6#8c. நகுஷனின் மகிழ்ச்சி

மகிழ்ந்தான் இந்திராணியைக் கண்ட நகுஷன்;
“மனம் கனிந்தாயா மனோ ரம்மியமானவளே!

உன்னை நான் அடையும் அந்த தினத்தில் தான்
உண்மையில் நான் இந்திரன் ஆவேன்!” என்றான்.

“தர வேண்டும் ஒரு வரம் பேதைப் பெண் எனக்கு;
அறிய வேண்டும் இப்போது இந்திரன் இருப்பிடம்.

இருப்பதும், இல்லாததும் அறிந்த பின்னர் என்னால்
விருப்புடன் இணங்க முடியும் தடையின்றி உமக்கு!”

தப்பி விட்டாள் தாற்கலிகமாக எனினும் சசிதேவி
தப்ப வேண்டும் நிரந்தரமாக நகுஷனிடமிருந்து.

“கண்டு பிடியுங்கள் என் கணவர் உள்ள இடத்தை!”
கண் கலங்க வேண்டினாள் தேவர்களிடம் இந்திராணி.

“பிரம்ம ஹத்தி பீடித்த இந்திரன் ஒளிந்துள்ளான்
பிறர் கண்களுக்குத் தெரியாமல் எங்கோ சென்று!

உதவிட வேண்டும் இந்திரனைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க;
உதவிட வேண்டும் இந்திராணி கற்பைக் காக்க!

தேவர்கள் துதித்தனர் விஷ்ணு மூர்த்தியை – தமது
தேவைக்கு உதவுபவன் என்றும் அவனே அன்றோ?

“தேவியைத் துதித்தால் தீரும் பாவங்கள் – எனவே
தேவர்கள் புரிய வேண்டும் அஸ்வமேத யாகம்.

தேவி போக்கி விடுவாள் பிரம்மஹத்தி தோஷத்தை;
தேவியைத் துதிக்க வேண்டும் இந்திராணியும் கூட!

நகுஷனை மோக வசப் படச் செய்வாள் பராசக்தி
நாசம் செய்து விடுவாள் நகுஷனைப் பராசக்தி.

பாவங்கள் தீர்ந்து தூய்மை அடைந்த இந்திரன்
பயமின்றித் திரும்புவான் சுவர்க்க லோகத்துக்கு!”

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

6#8c. Nahushan’s delight

Nahushan was delighted to see IndraaNi at his palace. “Oh pretty lady! So finally you have taken pity on me! I will become the new Indra, the real king of heaven, only on the day I will have you as mine."

IndraaNi made a request to him,”I am a helpless woman. I seek a boon from you. I must know the whereabouts of my husband. Only after knowing his present place and present plight, I can decide about my future with you!” Nahushan saw the logic in her request and accepted it.

IndraaNi had escaped from Nahushan temporarily but she had to escape permanently with the help of her husband. She made a tearful request to the Devaas to find her husband as fast as they could.

The Devaas always approached Vishnu – who was more than willing to help them at the face of any problem. The Devaas prayed, “Please help us to locate Indra fast. Please help us to protect the virtue of IndraaNi.”

Vishnu told them, ” All our sins get washed away when we worship Devi. The Devaas must perform an Aswamedha Yaagam. Devi will remove Indra’s Brahma haththi dosham.

Indra and IndraaNi must worship Shakti Devi. She will delude Nahushan and destroy him completely. Indra will be rid of his Brahma haththi dosham and can return to rule the heaven as before!”

2g. பிரானும், பிராட்டியும்.


விண்ணில் தோன்றிய அன்னை தந்தையரை
விழுந்து வணங்கினர் முருகனும், தேவரும்.

மார்புறத் தழுவி மகிழ்ந்தார் பெருமான்;
மார்புறத் தழுவி உச்சி முகர்ந்தாள் உமை.

விண்ணுலகிலிருந்து இறங்கி வந்தது கீழே
மண்ணுலகிற்கு ஓர் அற்புத அரியணை.

இனிதே அமர்ந்தனர் பிரானும் தேவியும்;
இனிதே தொடங்கின திருமண நிகழ்சிகள்.

தெய்வயானையை அழைத்து வந்தனர்.
தெய்வயானை வணங்கினாள் பெற்றோரை.

முருகனைக் கண்டதும் நாணினாள் அவள்.
முருகன் அருகே நின்றாள் மணப்பெண்.

முருகன் கையில் மகள் கையை வைத்து
விரும்பி தாரை வார்த்தனர் பெற்றோர்கள்.

பிரமன் எடுத்துத் தந்த திருத்தாலியை
பிரியத்துடன் அணிவித்தார் முருகன்;

மங்கல வாத்தியங்கள் முழங்கின;
மங்கல வாழ்த்துக்கள் ஒலித்தன.

மணக்கோலம் கண்டு மகிழ்ந்தனர்;
மணச்சடங்குகள் முற்றுப் பெற்றன.

மணமக்கள் வணங்கினர் சபையை,
மணமக்கள் பெற்றனர் வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

அனைவரையும் வாழ்த்தி அருள் புரிந்து
அன்னை தந்தையர் சென்றனர் கயிலை.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷிரமணி.

5#2g. Siva and Uma.

Siva and Uma appeared in the sky. Murugan and others prostrated to them.
Siva and Uma embraced Murugan. A rare throne descended from the sky. Siva and Uma sat on it. The wedding ceremony was commenced.

The bride was bought to the wedding mandapam. She paid respect to Siva and Uma. She blushed on seeing Murugan.

Indra and Indrani offered the hand of their daughter to Murugan. Brahma gave the maangalyam which Murugan tied around Devayaani’s neck.

Auspicious blessings were showered on the couple and auspicious music was played. After blessing everyone gathered there, Siva and Uma left for Kailash.

13d. ஏக பத்தினி விரதம்

“இருவரையும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்றான்.
ஒருவருக்கும் ஒன்றும் புரியவில்லை என்பேன்.

“இவர் தங்கள் தேவி சீதா பிராட்டியார்;
இவர் வேதவதி என்னும் பிராட்டியார் .

வேதவதியே ராவணனின் சிறையிலிருந்தவர்;
தேவன் விஷ்ணுவை மணாளனாக வரித்தவர்.

இமயத்தில் நிஷ்டையில் இருக்கும் வேளை,
இராவணன் கண்டு மோஹித்தான் இவளை.

பலவந்தம் செய்ய நெருங்கினான் இவளை;
பயந்து தீயினில் குதித்துவிட்டாள் இவள்.

பத்திரமாக ஒப்படைத்தேன் என் மனைவியிடம்
தந்திரமாக மீட்டோம் சீதா தேவியைப் பின்னர்.

இருவருமே தங்களுக்கு உரியவர்கள் தாம்!
இருவரையும் ஏற்க வேண்டும் தங்கள்!” என;

சீதையும் கூறினாள் ராமனிடம் சென்று
“வேதவதி துன்புற்று என்னைக் காத்தாள்.

தாமதம் இன்றி ஏற்றுக் கொள்வீர் அவளை!”
ராமன் ஏற்கவில்லை இந்த வேண்டுகோளை.

“ஏக பத்தினி விரதம் பூண்டுள்ளதை அறிவாய்
ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள முடியாது இவளை இப்போது!

கலியுகத்தில் வசிப்பேன் சேஷாச்சலத்தில்,
கலியுகத்தில் மணப்பேன் நான் வேதவதியை.

ஆகாசராஜன் மகள் பத்மாவதி ஆவாள் – இவள்.
அரும் தவம் பலித்து என்னையும் மணப்பாள்!”

13d. Eka Patni Vratham

Agni Devan told Rama, “Please accept both these Devis, since they both belong to you. This is Sitaa Devi. This Vedavati Devi. She is the one who went to Lanka to save Sitaa Devi from the cruel RaavaN.

She had decided to marry Vishnu and was doing penance on the slopes of Himalaya. RaavaN was filled with lust at her sight and wanted to enjoy her youth and beauty.

Vedavati jumped into the roaring fire to escape from RaavaN. I saved her and left her in the care on my wife. Later when Sitaa Devi was abducted, we both freed her form RaavaN by a clever scheme. Both are worthy of you. Please accept both these Devis”

Sitaa also told Rama, “Vedavati had suffered in Lanka to spare me from RaavaN’s cruelty. Please accept her also” But Rama told her, “I have taken an oath to have only one wife in this birth. So I cannot accept Vedavati now.

However I will reside in Seshaachalam in Kali yufga. Then Vedavati will be born as Padmaavati – the daughter of Aaakasa Raajan. I will marry her then!”

6#8d. இந்திரன்

செய்தனர் அஸ்வமேத யாகம் தேவர்கள்;
செய்தாள் இந்திராணி தேவி ஆராதனை.

குரு பிருஹஸ்பதியின் உதவியுடன் அளித்தனர்
பிரம்மஹத்தி தோஷத்தைப் பகிர்ந்து நால்வருக்கு.

மலைக்கு ஒரு பங்கு, மரங்களுக்கு ஒரு பங்கு;
பூமிக்கு ஒரு பங்கு, பூவையருக்கு ஒரு பங்கு.

பாவம் நீங்கித் தூய்மை அடைந்தான் இந்திரன்;
பாவம் நீங்கினாலும் திரும்பவில்லை சுவர்க்கம்!

தாமரைத் தண்டிலே மறைந்திருந்தான் – தண்ணீர்
தடாகத்தில் முன்பு ஒளிந்து இருந்தது போலவே.

பிரம்மஹத்தி நீங்கிய பிறகும் கணவன் வராததால்
பிருஹஸ்பதியிடம் முறை இட்டாள் இந்திராணி.

“இடைவிடாது செய்வாய் தேவியின் ஆராதனை;
தடைகள் நீங்கி அடைவாய் உந்தன் கணவனை!”

விதி முறைகளை உபதேசித்தார் இந்திராணிக்கு;
திரிபுர சுந்தரியை ஆராதித்தாள் இந்திராணி தேவி.

இன்ப போகத்தில் நாட்டம் கொண்டவள் இந்திராணி,
இன்ப வஸ்துக்களைத் துறந்து விட்டாள் இப்போது.

தவக் கோலம் பூண்டு தூய வாழ்வு வாழ்ந்தாள்;
தவித்தாள் கணவன் இந்திரனின் வருவைக்காக.

மனம் கனிந்தாள் அன்னை பராசக்தி இது கண்டு,
மனம் கொண்டாள் இந்திராணியின் துயர் தீர்த்திட.

6#8d. Indra and IndraaNi

The Devaas performed an Aswamedha Yaagam. IndraaNi did aaraadhana of Shakti Devi. With the help of Deva Guru Bruhaspati, Indra’s Brahma haththi dosham was divided into four parts and passed on to four other objects or persons, namely the Mountains, the Trees, the Earth and the Women.

Indra was rid of his Brahma haththi dosham and regained his original splendour but he still opted to stay hidden. So he did not return to the heaven. He hid himself in the stem of a lotus pant in the Maanasarovar as before.

IndraaNi was very upset with this and sought the help of Guru Bruhaspati once again. He told her,”Worship Devi with unshakable devotion. She will unite you with your dear husband Indra.” He taught her the correct rules for worshipping Devi.

IndraaNi loved to indulge in pleasures previously. But now she lived the life of an ascetic and gave up all the objects of pleasure. Devi took pity on IndraaNi and decided to remove her sorrows and problems.

2h. திருமண நிறைவு.

திருமணம் நடந்து முடிந்தது இனிதே!
திருக்கோவில் அடைந்தனர் மணமக்கள்.

விருந்தினரை உபசரித்தனர் நன்கு,
திருமால், இந்திரன், பிரமன் அங்கு!

தத்தம் இடத்தில் அமர்ந்தவர்களுக்குத்
தக்க பரிசுகள் வழங்கினான் இந்திரன்.

அறுசுவை உணவை அன்புடன் அளித்தது
விரும்பிய வண்ணம் காமதேனுப் பசு!

உடைகளை, அணிகளை அளித்தனர்
அடைந்தவர் மனம் மகிழும் வண்ணம்.

அனைவரும் திரும்பினர் தம் இருப்பிடம்,
அமரர்கள் இன்புற்று வாழ்ந்திருந்தனர்.

நாட்கள் உருண்டு ஓடின வேகமாக!
நானிலம் மகிழ்ந்திருந்தது வெகுவாக!

5#2h. After The Wedding.

The wedding ceremonies were completed and the newly wed couple reached their place of stay. Vishnu, Brahma and Indra played perfect hosts and took care of the needs of their guests.

The Gods and Devas were seated according to their importance and rich gifts were showered on them by Indra. Kamadhenu gave each person his choicest dishes in the wedding feast.

Every one received new clothes and ornaments to their heart’s delight. Everyone went back to his place of residence.

Days rolled by. The Devas lived in peace and pleasure. The earth also lived in peace and prosperity.

14a. சிவ ஆராதனை

“வேதவதியே இப்போது பத்மாவதி – அதனால்
வேண்டுமென்றே விலகிச் சென்றாள் லக்ஷ்மி.”

மன்னனைச் சந்திக்கச் சென்றாள் வகுளமாலிகை;
அன்னையுடன் சற்று வழி நடந்தான் சீனிவாசன்.

மாலை மங்கியது நகரை நெருங்குகையில்;
கோலாகல ஆராதனைகளின் ஒலி கேட்டது

அருகிலே இருந்த அகத்தியரின் ஆசிரமத்தில்;
விரும்பிக் கலந்து கொண்டாள் பூஜைகளில்!

விரைந்து சென்று நகரை அடைந்தாலும்
இரவில் மன்னனைக் காண முடியாதே!

வேதபாராயணம் தொடர்ந்து நடந்தது;
வேத வல்லுனர் செய்தனர் அபிஷேகம்.

விமரிசையாக நடந்தன பூஜைகள்.
வெற்றி நிச்சயம் வந்த காரியத்தில்.

“ஆராதனைக்குக் காரணம் என்ன?” என
“நாரயணபுரி இளவரசிக்காக நடக்கிறது.

உற்சாகம் இழந்து விட்டாளாம் திடீரென்று
உறங்குவதும், உண்பதும் இல்லையாம்!”

‘காதல் வயப்பட்டுள்ளாள் பத்மாவதி தேவி
காதலுக்கு வைத்தியம் கல்யாணம் அன்றோ?’

பூஜை முடிந்தது பொழுது புலருகையில்!
பூஜைப் பிரசாதமும், தீர்த்தமும் சென்றன.

வகுள மாலிகையும் சென்றாள் அவற்றுடன்
வெகு விரைவாக மன்னனைக் கண்டு பேசிட!

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

13e. The Siva pooja

“Vedavati is reborn now as Padmaavati! Lakshmi went away from me on purpose so that we two can come together” Srinivaasan concluded the life history of Vedavati.

VaguLa Maalikai went to meet the King Akaasa Raajan. Srinivaasan accompanied her to some distance. when she was nearing the city, already dusk was falling.

She could hear the sounds of Siva aaraadhanaa in the Agasthya’s aashram nearby. She took part in the pooja which lasted the whole night. Even if she hurried to reach the city, it would be impossible to meet the king at night time.

The pundits were chanting Veda and doing Abhishekham to Siva. The pooja was completed to the satisfaction of everyone. VaguLa Maalika felt reassured that her mission would be successful.

She asked one of the ladies gathered there, “What is the purpose of this aaraadhanaa?” The lady replied in all earnestness. “The princess is under an evil spell. She neither eats nor sleeps. This pooja is done for her sake”

VaguLa Maalika smiled to herself. ‘The princess has been bitten by the love bug and the treatment will be getting her married soon.’ The next morning the prasaadam and theertham were sent to the palace.

She too went along with those people carrying them, to the palace, to meet the King Aakaasa Raajan.

திகழ்ந்தாள் அழகிய அன்ன வாஹனத்தில்!

கொண்டிருந்தாள் கோடி சூரியர்களின் பிரகாசம்;
கொண்டிருந்தாள் கோடி சந்திரர்களின் குளுமை.


பாச, அங்குச, அபய , வரத ஹஸ்தங்களுடனும்;
பாதம் வரையில் புரளும் முத்து மாலைகளுடனும்.


“அருள வேண்டும் கணவரைக் காணும் பாக்கியம்;
அருள வேண்டும் என் துயர்களைத் துடைத்து நீக்கி.


அருள வேண்டும் கணவர் சுவர்க்கம் திரும்பிட
அருள வேண்டும் நல்ல வாழ்வு மீண்டும் நிலவிட!”


தேனினும் இனிய குரலில் கூறினாள் இதைத்
தேவி பராசக்தி பக்தை இந்திராணி தேவிக்கு.


“செல்வாய் மானசரோவர் என் தாதியுடன் – அங்கு
காண்பாய் விஸ்வ காமை என்ற என் விக்ரஹத்தை;


உள்ளான் இந்திரன் மானசரோவரில் ஒளிந்து கொண்டு;
தள்ளுவேன் நகுஷனை நான் இந்திரப் பதவியிலிருந்து!


அடைய மாட்டாய் துன்பம் நகுஷன் தொல்லையால்;
அடைவாய் இன்பம் சுவர்க்க வாழ்வை மீண்டும் எய்தி!”


சென்றாள் இந்திராணி தாதியுடன் மனசரோவர் தடாகம்.
கொண்டாள் ஆனந்தம் இந்திராணி கணவனைக் கண்டு.


வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி

6#8e. Tripura Sundari

Devi appeared to IndraNi as Tripura Sundari, seated on a graceful swan. She was as brilliant as ten million Suns put together and at the same time as cool as ten million Moons put together. She had Paasa, Ankusa, Abhaya, Varada hastams. Her numerous pearl stings hung down well below her knees.

IndraaNi prayed to Devi, ” Oh Mother! Please let me meet my husband. Let him come back to heaven. Let us get our lives back in order. Let us be rid of all the problems!’ Devi smiled at her and spoke in a voice sweeter than honey,

“Go to Maanasarovar with my attendant. You will see my image Viswa Kaami there. Indra is hiding in the Maanasarovar. I will push down Nahushan from his position as the king of heaven very soon. You will not be troubled by him any more. You will unite with your husband and live in happiness as before. ”

IndraaNi went Manasarovar with Devi’s attendant. She was overwhelmed to meet Indra there.

3. அமராவதி.

விண்ணுலக வேந்தனை, தேவர்களை
விண்ணுலகில் குடியேற்ற வேண்டுமே!

தெய்வயானையுடன் தேரில் சென்றான்
தேவர் உலகுக்கு முருகன், மால்மருகன்;

தங்கள் தங்கள் ஊர்திகளில் ஏறிச் சென்றனர்;
தங்கள் அமராவதி நகருக்குத் தேவர்கள்!

எரிந்து கரிந்து போயிருந்தது அமராவதி.
எரித்தவன் பானுகோபன் அன்றொரு நாள்.

“முன் போல் இந்நகரைச் சமைப்பாய்
பொன்னுலக தேவர்கள் வாழ்வதற்கு!”

வாயில்கள், மதில்கள், கோபுரங்கள்,
செய்குன்றுகள், நீர்நிலைகள், மாடங்கள்,

விண்ணுலகை மீண்டும் காண்போர்கள்
கண்கவர அமைத்தான் தேவத் தச்சன்.

நகரின் அழகைக் கண்டதும் இந்திரன்
நட்புடன் தழுவினான் விஸ்வகர்மனை.

நான்முகனைப் பணித்தான் முருகன்,
” நாட் கடத்தாமல் முடி சூட்டுவாய்!”

கங்கையில் நீராட்டினர் இந்திரனை.
தங்க அணிகள், ஆடைகள் அணிவித்து

அமரச் செய்தனர் அரியணை மீது.
அமரர்கள் முடி சூட்டி மகிழ்ந்தனர்.

ஆறுமுகனை வாழ்த்தி வணங்கினான்
அமரர்கோன் நன்றி உணர்வுகளுடன்.

“இனிதே ஆண்டு வருவாய் இந்திரா!”
இனிக்க இனிக்க வாழ்த்தினான் முருகன்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
KANDA PURAANAM - DEVA KAANDAM

5#3. Amaravathi.

It was time for the Devas to return to Amaraavathy and live there as before.
Murugan went first in his chariot along with Devayaani. The other Devas and Gods got into their own vaahanams and they all flew to Amaraavathy.

Amaraavathy was charred and in ruins. Bhaanukoban had burned it down earlier.Viswakarma was ordered.“Restore Amaraavathy to its original glory.”

He built archways, encircling walls, gopurams, artificial mounds, ponds and multi storied buildings.

Amaraavathy had never looked better. Indra became very happy and embraced Viswakarma in appreciation.

Murugan told Brahma, “Coronation of Indra must be done without further delay” Indra was bathed in the water from river Ganges. He was adorned with gold ornaments, silk clothes and made to occupy the throne.

He was crowned and every one felt very happy. Murugan blessed Indra and said,”Rule happily as before!”
