A school of thoughts is a collection or group of people who share common characteristics of opinion or outlook of a philosophy, discipline, belief, social movement, cultural movement and art movement.
Schools are often classified into “new” and “old” schools. However, it is rarely the case that there are only two schools in any given field.
Schools are often named after their founders. They are often also named after their places of origin.We will look into some of the popular schools of thought and what they say briefly, here in this thread.

Asurendran and Mangala Kesini's daughter is Maya (Surasai) who begets Tarakan through Kashyapa. Who is Asurendran? If he is Diti's son, his daughter becomes Kashyapa's grand daughter. To add to the son, texts like this say Asurendran is Tarakan's son.

Who is asurEndran?
asurEndran is MangalakEsi's husband.
asurEndran is MAyA's father.
He is also the grandfather of TArakan.
He is the great grandfather of TArakan's son (also named as asurEndran).
AsurEndran + MangalakEsi => Surasa (aka MAyA)
MAyA + Kashyapa = > Sooran + Singamukhan + TArakan + ajamukhi.
TArakan + Souri => AsurEndhran.
It was customary in the olden times to name the grandchildren after their grand parents or great grand parents. Now we use any fancy word which is very short and very novel (with or without any real meaning) to name the children.

Dear Sir,
Kandha purANam was the first among my series of blogs and was competed in 2012. I am just giving the links of my 72 blogs ~ one per week, to enable the interested persons to read them at leisure.
I came across three volumes of Thirumandiram and used them as my reference. But that was the work of a poet and did not stress on the yoga aspect of this great work.
So I included what little I know on Yoga and Saivaite philosophy. I will try to recollect the name of the author. This series was completed by me in 2014. I tend to forget the names since I am 75 already.

Dear Sir,
Wish you and your family "The Season's Greetings and A Happy DeepaavaLi!"
My brain needs to be kept active constantly.
In other words my grinding wheel is inside my brain!
Since I am not creating a any new blogs to keep my occupied at present,
I have turned to learning a Fremd Sprache ( Foreign Language => German).
I am making steady progress and can understand everything except the Scientific and Political jargon.
I have gained the basic working knowledge in German, which I need while flying through Frankfurt.
I do not to feel DEAF & DUMB - unable to understand or reply in German.
English is enough for survival but 'Mutter Sprache' will make the locals more friendly!
Also my son has promised to take me along during his next trip to Germany.
Every horse needs a carrot tied to a pole and held in the front - to keep it motivated.
