VINAAYAKA PURAANAM 2

9p. நந்தியின் தூது

இறங்கினார் படைகளுடன் நகருக்கு வெளியே;
சிறந்த நந்தியை அனுப்பினார் தன் தூதுவராக.

‘திறமை வேண்டும் நம் கட்சியை உரைக்க;
அறிவு வேண்டும் நிலைமையை சமாளிக்க.’

அரச சபையை அடைந்தார் நந்திதேவர்;
அரன் அருளால் தோன்றியது அரியணை.

மிடுக்காக அமர்ந்தார் அரியணை மீது;
திடுக்கிட்டான் சிந்துராஜன் அது கண்டு!

“யார் நீ? எங்கு வந்தாய்? எதற்கு வந்தாய்?
யார் அனுப்பினார் உன்னை? உண்மை கூறு”

“மயூரேசர் அனுப்பிய தூதுவன் நான் நந்தி.
அபூர்வ வரங்கள் தீங்கிழைப்பதற்காகவா?

முனிவருக்கும் தேவருக்கும் தருகின்றாய்
இனிமேல் தாங்க முடியாத துன்பங்களை!

சிறையில் வாட்டுகின்றாய் தேவர்களை;
குறை சொல்லத் துணியவில்லை எவரும்!

பரம் பொருளே பிறந்துள்ளார் கணேசனாக;
அதன் பொருள் உன் அழிவு நிச்சயம் என்பது.

சிறைவிடு தேவர்களை உடனேயே – உன்
குறைகளை மன்னித்து விடுவார் மயூரேசர்.

மன்னித்தால் வாழ்வாய் நெடுங்காலம்;
மறுத்தால் வீழ்வாய் வெகு விரைவில்

மலை போல நம்பியிருந்த அசுர வீரர்கள்
நிலை குலைந்து மாய்ந்ததை மறவாதே!

முடிவு செய்வாய் நன்கு சிந்தித்த பின்னர்,
மடியப் போகிறாயா? வாழப் போகிறாயா?”

கலகலவென்று நகைத்தான் சிந்து ராஜன்;
கண்களில் கனல் எழ விழித்தான் பின்னர்..

“வலிமையற்ற அசுரரைப் போல என்னையும்
வலிமையற்றவன் என்று நீ கருதிவிட்டாயா?

தூதுவனாக வந்ததால் செல்வாய் மீண்டு;
வேறு மனிதர்கள் சென்றதில்லை மீண்டு.”

VINAAYAKA PURAANAM 2

#39p. Nandi’s message

Mayuresar landed outside the city. He sent Nandi as his personal messenger to Sindhu Raajan. Nandi was capable of delivering the message correctly and handling any situation that might arise.

Nandi reached Sindu Raaja’s durbar. A throne appeared for him by Siva’s grace. He sat on it very confidently and Sindhu Raajan was shocked to see this.

He fired many questions at Nandi, ” Who are you? Why are you here? Who has sent you? And for what purpose?”

Nandi replied. “I am the messenger of Mayuresar. You have obtained many special boons. Are they for living happily or for troubling the other innocent people? You are causing a lot of sufferings to the rushis. You have imprisoned the devas.

Mayuresar is none but the god supreme. He is sure to destroy you. You may still live, if you release all the Deva and beg for the pardon of Mayuresar.Remember how the mighty asuras sent by you were killed by Mayuresar as if in a child’s play.

Think well before you make a decision. Are you going to live for a long time by seeking his pardon or are you in a hurry to leap towards your death?”

Sindhu Raajan laughed loudly in his anger. He rolled his bloodshot eyes and spoke to Nandi,

“Do You think I am also powerless like the asuras who got killed by your Mayuresar? I will spare your life since you have come here as a messenger. Otherwise no one has gone back alive from here till now”

5#9a. போர்க் கோலம்

தந்தார் சிவசங்கரன் தனது சூலாயுதத்தை;
தந்தார் விஷ்ணு தன் சுதர்சனச் சக்கரத்தை.

தந்தான் அக்னி தன் ஆயுதம் சதக்னியை;
தந்தான் வாயு தேவன் வில், அம்புகளை;

தந்தான் இந்திரன் தன் வஜ்ஜிராயுதத்தை;
தந்தான் யமதர்மன் தன் தண்டாயுதத்தை;

தந்தான் பிரமன் தன் கமண்டலத்தை;
தந்தான் வருணன் தன் பாசத்தை;

தந்தான் குபேரன் தன் மதுப் பாத்திரத்தை;
தந்தான் துவஷ்டா கதை, கவசம், நூபுரம்;

தந்தான் சூரியன் தன் ஒளிக் கற்றைகளை;
தந்தான் விஸ்வகர்மா கங்கணம், தோள்வளை;

தந்தது திருப்பாற்கடல் ஆடை, ஆபரணங்கள்;
தந்தது சமுத்திரம் கண்டிகை, மோதிரங்கள்;

தந்தான் மலையரசன் ரத்தினங்கள் வாஹனம்;
தந்தது ஐராவதம் நன்கு ஒலிக்கும் மணிகளை;

ஏறி அமர்ந்தாள் தேவி சிம்ஹ வாஹனத்தில்!
மாறியது தேவர்களின் துக்கமும், அச்சமும்!

விண்ணப்பம் செய்தனர் தேவர் சக்திதேவியிடம்,
“விண்ணுலகைக் காப்பாய் மஹிஷனைக் கொன்று!”

5#9a. The gift of arms by Devaas

Siva presented Devi with his trident and Vishnu with his Sudarshan.

Agni presented her with his sathagni and Vaayu with his bow and arrows.

Indra presented her with his vajraayudam and Yama with his dandaayudam

Brahma presented her with his kamaNdalam and Varuna with his paasam

Kuberan presented her with a wine cup and Thvashta with his mace, armor and a noopur.

The Sun gave her his rays of light and Viswakarma gave her kankaN and vangi ornaments

Milk ocean gave silks and ornaments and the Salt water ocean more ornaments and rings.

Parvata rajan gave her rare gems and a simha vaahanam and Airavat a bell with a loud clear ring.

Devi sat on her simha vaahanam ready for a war. The fear and sorrow of the Devaas vanished.

They prostrated to her and prayed, “Please save the swarggam by killing the arrogant Mahishan”

10. ஜயந்தனின் கனவு.

பெருந்துயர் அடைந்த தேவர் குழாத்திற்கு
திருவருள் செய்ய விழைந்தான் முருகன்.

மயக்கம் போன்ற ஓர் உறக்கம் தந்தான்;
மயக்கத்தில் ஆறுமுகனாக மாறி வந்தான்.

தொழுத ஜயந்தன் சொன்னான் – “எப்
பொழுதும் கண்டதில்லையே உம்மை!”

“மைந்தன் கொன்றை அணி சிவனுக்கு,
உந்தன் துயர் போக்க வந்த கந்தன்.

அழித்துவிட்டேன் தாரக, கிரௌஞ்சரை,
எழுந்தருளி உள்ளது திருச்செந்தூரில்.

உன் தந்தை எம்முடன் தங்கி உள்ளான்
உன் தாய் மேருமலையில் உள்ளாள்;

வீரவாகுத் தேவர் வந்துள்ளார் தூது.
சூரபத்மனைக் காணும்முன் வருவார்.

படையுடன் இங்கு வந்து சேருவோம்,
கடையனைப் போரில் வெல்லுவோம் .

தேவர்கள் நீங்குவர் இக் கொடுஞ்சிறை.
அவர்கள் அடைவர் சுவர்க்க போகம்!”

கனவில் காட்சி தந்த சிவன் மைந்தனை
மனமகிழ்ந்து போற்றினான் ஜயந்தன்.

அனைத்து தேவர்கள் கனவிலும் வந்தான்!
அனைவரும் வியந்தது கந்தன் கருணையை.

KANDA PURAANAM - MAHENDRA KANDAM

3 # 10. Jayanthan’s dream.

Murugan took pity of the suffering Deva. He wanted to console them. He made them go into a sleep-like trance. He appeared with his six faces in Jayanthan’s dream.

Jayanthan paid his respects to Murugan and said, ” I have never seen you before. You are neither Siva nor Vishnu!”

“I am Siva’s son Skandan. I have come to deliver you from your sorrows and sufferings. I have destroyed Tarakan and Krounjan. I am now camping in Thiruchchendoor.

Your father is with me. Your mother is on Mount Meru. Veerabaahu has been sent as a messenger to Soorapadman. He will meet you here before he sees Sooran.

We will march here with our army and win Soorapadman in a battle.You will be released from the prison and placed in heaven where you belong to!”

Jayanthan became very happy. Murugan had appeared in every Deva’s dream. They all woke up and started praising the mercy of Murugan.

9q. நந்தி தேவர்

“தூதுவன் என்பதால் உயிரோடு விடுகிறாயா?
தூதுவன் என்பதால் தான் செல்கிறேன் நானும்!

சாம்பலாக்குவேன் உன்னை ஒரு கணத்தில்!
சந்தகம் இருந்தால் பார் என் வலிமையினை!”

ஹூங்காரம் செய்தார் நந்தி தேவர்- அந்த
ஹூங்காரத்தில் நடுங்கியது அரண்மனை!

விழுந்தனர் ஆசனந்களிலிருந்து தரையில்;
எழும்பினார் விண்ணில் ஆகாய மார்க்கமாக.

படைகளை அழைத்தான் சிந்து ராஜன் – பல
படைகள் வந்தன பல இடங்களில் இருந்து.

ரதத்திலேறிச் சென்றான் போர்க்களம் சிந்து;
ரதத்தைப் படைவீரர் நடந்தனர் .தொடர்ந்து.

பொருதார் மித்திரனுடன் சுப்பிரமணியர்;
பொருதார் கவுத்துவனுடன் வீரபத்திரர்;

பொருதார் வீரராசனுடன் நந்தி தேவர்;
பொருதனர் அவரவர் தம் சக்திக்கேற்ப.

மாயப் போர் புரியலானான் மித்திரன்;
ஆயாசம் அடைந்தது இறைவன் படை.

நவசக்தி குமாரரை அல்லல் படுத்தினான்;
நவ வீரர்கள் கொன்றனர் தேர் சாரதியை.

ஒரே நொடியில் ஏறினான் வேறு தேரில்;
ஒன்பது பாணங்களை எய்தார் வீரவாகு.

மித்திரன் மயங்கி விழுந்தான் தரையில்
உக்கிரம் அதிகரித்தது தெளிந்த எழுந்ததும்.

சுப்பிரமணியர் வந்தார் தானே போர்செய்ய;
தப்பாமல் எய்தான் சரமழையை மித்திரன்.

அப்பாவி போல் சென்று வணங்கின – அவன்
சுப்பிரமணியர் மீது விடுத்த அஸ்திரங்கள்!

வானில் எழும்பிப் போரிட்டான் அதன்பின்;
வீணானது அவன் முயற்சிகள் எல்லாம்.

வாளை உருவிக் கொண்டு ஓடி வந்தவனை
வஜ்ஜிராயுதத்தால் வதைத்தார் சுப்பிரமணியர்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

#39q. Nandi Devar

“So you spre my life since I have come as a messenger! I too spare your life since I have come here as a messenger. I can destroy you in a second. If you doubt my power look at this.” Nandi spoke thus and did a loud hoonkaaram.

The whole palace trembled in the power of the sound he made. Everybody fell down from his throne. Nandi rose in the sky and went back to Mayuresar.

Sindhu Raajan summoned all his soldiers. They came from far and wide from every country and every land. Sindhu raajan mounted on his chariot and left for the battle field. The chaturanga sena followed him.

Subramanya fought with Mithran; Veerbadran fought with Kouthuvan and Nandi fought with Veera Raajan. Each one fought with an enemy of equal strength.

Mithran resorted to Maya tricks. The army of the God faced a set back. Mithran troubled the Nava sakthi kumaaraas. They killed his saarathi but Mithran jumped on to another chariot and fought valiantly.

Veerabaahu shot nine arrows on Mithran and he fainted in the battle field. When he came round, he was more aggressive then before. Subramanya himself came to fight with Mithran once again.

The asthrams shot by Mithran on Subramanya did not harm him in any way but surrendered to him meekly.

Now Mithran fought from the sky but his valor was completely wasted. When he ran towards Subramanya with a drawn sword, he was killed by Vajraayutham released by Subramanaya.

5#9b. கர்ஜனை

தேவி கூறினாள் புன்னகை பூத்த முகத்துடன்,
தேவர்களிடம் தன் தேனினும் இனிய குரலில்.

“செருக்கு அழித்துவிடும் ஒருவனை – ஞானச்
செல்வமே காக்கும் அவனியில் ஒருவனை.

பாதுகாக்க வல்லது பகுத்தறியும் திறன் ஒன்றே.
பாதுகாக்காது காவல், அறிவு திரிந்த ஒருவனை.

ஆட்டம் முடியும் வெகு விரைவில் – நாடகக்
கூட்டம் கலைந்து செல்வது போல்” என்றாள்.

‘எந்தப் பொருளும் நிலைத்து இருப்பதில்லை,
வந்து போகும் செல்வம் நல்வினைப் பயனாக.

துய்ப்பார்கள் அனுபவங்களை தம் உடலால்,
துய்க்கும் உடலும் காலத்தின் வசப்பட்டது.

காலமோ எனில் சூரியனின் வசப்பட்டது,
கால வயப்பட்டவை எல்லா ஜீவராசிகளும்.

வேண்டிப் பெறுகின்றனர் செல்வத்தை, உடலை.
வேண்டாம் என்றாலும் வந்து சேரும் துன்பம்.

துன்ப வயப்பட்டு தடைப்படும் இன்பம் - எனினும்
இன்பத்தைத் தானே விழைகின்றார்கள் மக்கள்?

வரங்களும் செல்வமும் காலமன்றோ தந்தது?
அரக்கனுக்கு இந்த மமதையை வளர்த்தது?’

எண்ணினாள் தேவி; நகைத்தாள் குலுங்கி
பண்ணினாள் உரத்த குரலில் ஒரு கர்ஜனை.

நடுங்கினர் அசுர வீரர்கள் அதைக் கேட்டு
இடியுண்ட நாகங்கள் போல உடல் நடுங்கி!

நடுங்கின மலையும், பூமியும், கடலும்,
ஓடினர் அசுரர் மஹிஷனின் சபைக்கு

5#9b. Devi’s uproar!

Devi spoke to the assembly of the Devaas in a sweet voice, “Arrogance and pride will destroy a person. Only a good sense prevailing can protect him.

The power of discretion is essential. No amount of security can protect a person whose intellect is got perverted. Mahishan’s arrogant show will end very soon.”

Devi thought to herself, “Nothing is permanent. Wealth and other things come and go depending on the puNya and paapa the jeeva has accumulated.

Everything is experienced through ones’ body. The body is also impermanent. It is Time-bound and the Time itself is bound by the movement of the Sun.

Everything in my creation is Time-bound. People pray for wealth and the body they wish to get. But sorrow comes to them though uninvited. Pleasures will be marred by pains and joys will be disturbed by sorrows.

Everyone knows this, yet people seek only pleasure and joy all the time. Favorable Time has made Mahishan so strong, so powerful and so arrogant by giving him the rare boons.’

She laughed to herself. Then she made a loud noise which made the asura warriors tremble in fear! Even the mountains, the earth and the oceans trembled due to that loud noise.

The frightened asuraas ran to the sabha on Mahishan.

11. வீரவாகு தேற்றுதல்.

தேவர்களைக் கண்டு வீரவாகுத்
தேவர் ஆறுதல் கூற எண்ணினார்.

முருகனின் மந்திரம் உரைக்கவும்
பொருந்தினர் உறக்கத்தில் காவலர்.

“கனவில் வந்து கந்தன் பகர்ந்த
கனவான் இவர் தானோ?”என்று

அருகில் வந்த வீரவாகுத் தேவரை
நெருங்கிய தேவர்கள் எண்ணினர்.

“கந்தன் அனுப்பிய தூதன் நானே!
கந்தனின் அன்புத் தம்பியும் நானே!

சிறை நீக்கி விடுமாறு சூரனிடம் கூற
சிவனார் மகன் கட்டளை இட்டார்.

விரைவில் தீரும் உங்கள் தாபங்கள்,
விரைந்து சேரும் சுவர்க்க போகங்கள்!

தக்கன் வேள்வியில் அவிர்பாகம் உண்டு
முக்கட்பிரானை இழிவு செய்தீர்கள் அன்று.

தீ வினைகள் தீர்ந்ததும் துயரும் தீரும்
தீவினைகள் தீரும் நேரமும் வந்தது.

புறக்கணிப்பான் தூதை சூரபத்மன்.
புறப்படுவோம் படையுடன் யாம்!”

காவல் சிறையை விட்டு நீங்கினான்;
காவலர் உறக்கத்தைப் போக்கினான்!

3 # 11 Veerabaahu consoles.

Veerabaau was moved to pity by the sight of the plight of the devas. He too wanted to console them.

He chanted a mantra concentrating on Murugan. The jail guards went into a deep sleep. He entered the prison.

The davas wondered whether he was the man Murugan spoke about in their dream.

“I am the messenger of Murugan. I am also his younger brother. He has sent a message to Soorapadman that you must be released from the prison.

You will become free very soon. You will regain your life in heaven very soon.

You participated in the yagna performed by Dakshan insulting Siva. you are being punished for that.

Soorapadman will not listen to the good counsel. There will be a war and he will be vanquished in it!”

He left the prison and made the jail guards wake up from their deep sleep.

அன்னை என்றால் இவள் அன்றோ அன்னை ?

தன்னையே முன்னிலைப் படுத்தும் பல மக்களிடையே
தன்னலம் கருதாத இவள் அன்றோ ஒப்பற்ற அன்னை?

பசித்த முகம் பார்த்துப் பொறுக்க முடியாது மனம்;
ருசிக்கும் உணைவைப் பகிர்த்து அளிப்பாள் தினம்.

வாடிய முகமும், ஒடுங்கிய வயிறும் காண இயலாமல்
தேடிச் சென்று உணவு அளிப்பாள் அன்னபூரணி அன்னை.

இல்லை என்னும் சொல்லே இல்லை இவள் அகராதியில்;
சொல்ல விரும்பாத சொற்கள் "முடியாது!", "கிடையாது!"

தெரியாத கலை என்று எதுவுமே இல்லை அன்னைக்கு.
புரியாத மொழி என்று எதுவுமே இல்லை அன்னைக்கு.

அளவில்லாத ஆசை என்று உண்டு ஒன்றே ஒன்று;
அளவளாவ வேண்டும் சரளமாக தேவபாஷையில்!

கிடைத்தாள் பேத்தியின் வயதில் ஒரு ஆசிரியை.
கிடைத்தது செய்த முயற்சிக்குத் தகுந்த வெற்றி.

வியந்தனர் கண்டவர்கள் இம்முயற்சியை மெச்சி.
வயது தடையில்லை அல்லவா கல்வி கற்பதற்கு?

கண்கள் மங்கி விட்டன; கைகள் ஒத்துழைக்கவில்லை;
எண்ணி எண்ணித் துயர் உற்றாள் நேரம் வீணானதால்!

குடும்பமே சுழன்றது இவளை அச்சாகக் கொண்டு!
விடுவிப்பாள் குழப்பங்களை நொடியில் எளிதாக!

வல்லமை கொண்டவள் மன ஓட்டத்தை அறிவதில்;
சொல்லத் தேவை இல்லை விருப்பத்தை வாயினால்.

அச்சம் என்பதன் பொருளை அறியாதவள் அன்னை;
மிச்சம் வைத்தாள் தன் திறனை எங்கள் ஐவரில்!

அரவணைத்துச் செல்லும் பாங்கு ஒருவருக்கு;
தேனீயைப் போலச் சேகரிப்பது ஒருவருக்கு;

இளகிய மனமும், இனிய குணமும் ஒருவருக்கு;
இனிய வடிவும், தன் பொன் நிறமும் ஒருவருக்கு!

மூக்கின் மேல் உள்ள முன்கோபம் மட்டும் எனக்கு!
ஆக்கமாகவும், ஊக்கமாகவும் மாறிவிடுகிறது அது!

எங்கேயும் செல்ல வில்லை எங்கள் அன்னை; :hail:
எங்கள் ஐவரிடமே பிரிந்து உறைந்து விட்டாள். :grouphug:

சாம்பலாக்குவேன் உன்னை ஒரு கணத்தில்!
சந்தகம் இருந்தால் பார் என் வலிமையினை!”

ஹூங்காரம் செய்தார் நந்தி தேவர்- அந்த
ஹூங்காரத்தில் நடுங்கியது அரண்மனை!

விழுந்தனர் ஆசனந்களிலிருந்து தரையில்;
எழும்பினார் விண்ணில் ஆகாய மார்க்கமாக.

படைகளை அழைத்தான் சிந்து ராஜன் – பல
படைகள் வந்தன பல இடங்களில் இருந்து.

ரதத்திலேறிச் சென்றான் போர்க்களம் சிந்து;
ரதத்தைப் படைவீரர் நடந்தனர் .தொடர்ந்து.

பொருதார் மித்திரனுடன் சுப்பிரமணியர்;
பொருதார் கவுத்துவனுடன் வீரபத்திரர்;

பொருதார் வீரராசனுடன் நந்தி தேவர்;
பொருதனர் அவரவர் தம் சக்திக்கேற்ப.

மாயப் போர் புரியலானான் மித்திரன்;
ஆயாசம் அடைந்தது இறைவன் படை.

நவசக்தி குமாரரை அல்லல் படுத்தினான்;
நவ வீரர்கள் கொன்றனர் தேர் சாரதியை.

ஒரே நொடியில் ஏறினான் வேறு தேரில்;
ஒன்பது பாணங்களை எய்தார் வீரவாகு.

மித்திரன் மயங்கி விழுந்தான் தரையில்
உக்கிரம் அதிகரித்தது தெளிந்த எழுந்ததும்.

சுப்பிரமணியர் வந்தார் தானே போர்செய்ய;
தப்பாமல் எய்தான் சரமழையை மித்திரன்.

அப்பாவி போல் சென்று வணங்கின – அவன்
சுப்பிரமணியர் மீது விடுத்த அஸ்திரங்கள்!

வானில் எழும்பிப் போரிட்டான் அதன்பின்;
வீணானது அவன் முயற்சிகள் எல்லாம்.

வாளை உருவிக் கொண்டு ஓடி வந்தவனை
வஜ்ஜிராயுதத்தால் வதைத்தார் சுப்பிரமணியர்.

9r. கணேசர்

கௌவுத்துவன் போரிட்டான் வீரபத்திரருடன்
கவிழ்ந்தான் அவனும் அவர்கை பாணத்துக்கு!

ஒரு கரத்தை நந்தியிடம் இழந்த வீரராஜன்,
மறுகரத்தில் வாள் பற்றி வந்தான் போருக்கு.

வீரசுவர்க்கம் அடைந்தான் நந்தி கைகளில்;
வீரர்கள் சிதறி ஓடலாயினர் புறமுதுகிட்டு.

ஒன்று சேர்த்தான் சிந்து எஞ்சிய வீரரை;
சென்று போரிட்டான் பெரும் வீரத்துடன்.

தளபதியை இழந்த படை பலவீனமானது
தளரவில்லை மனம் சிந்துவின் படைவீரர்

கணேசர் வந்தார் சிந்துவை நெருங்கியபடி;
கணேசரிடம் பேசினான் சிந்து சிரித்தபடி.

“என்னுடன் போர்புரியும் சின்னக் குழந்தை நீயா ?
இன்னமும் அஞ்சி அன்னையிடம் ஓடவில்லையா?

பிஞ்சுக் குழந்தாய்! நான் சொல்வதைக் கேள்!
அஞ்சுவது அஞ்சாமை அறிவின்மை” என்றான்.

“வரங்கள் தந்த வலிமையால் பேசுகிறாய்.
வரங்கள் வலிமை இழந்தது அறியாய்

என்று தேவர்களைச் சிறையிலிட்டாயோ
அன்று தொடங்கின உனது இன்னல்கள்!

உன்னை அழிக்கவே பிறந்துள்ளேன்;
இன்னமும் நீ வாழலாம் நெடுங்காலம்.

சிறைவிடு தேவர்களை; பணிந்திடு என் பதம்;
திருந்தினால் வாழ்வாய் அன்றேல் அழிவாய்!"

சிந்துவின் கண்களில் சிந்தின தீப்பொறிகள்!
முன்னிலும் அதிக உக்கிரமாக ஆனான்.

Kouthuvan fought with Veerabadran and died in his hands. Veraraajan lost one of his arms to Nandhi but charged at him valiantly holding his sword in the other hand. Nandhi sent him to Veera swarggam.

The army started running in confusion since it had lost all the generals. Sindhu Raajan gathered all those soldiers.

Ganesha came close to Sindhu Raajan and he asked Ganesha with a smile, “Are you the child who is fighting with me now? I thought you had run off to your mother in fear. You must learn to fear what deserves to be feared”

Ganesha spoke to him, “You talk in this manner since you are sure of the boons bestowed on you. But they have lost their protecting power long ago.

Your problems have started on the day you imprisoned the Deva. I am born only to destroy you. You may still live if you release all the imprisoned Deva and seek my pardon. Otherwise it is complete destruction for you”

Sparks of fire appeared in Sindhu Raajan’s eyes due to his uncontrolled anger and he became more savage in his attacks.

5#9b. கர்ஜனை

தேவி கூறினாள் புன்னகை பூத்த முகத்துடன்,
தேவர்களிடம் தன் தேனினும் இனிய குரலில்.

“செருக்கு அழித்துவிடும் ஒருவனை – ஞானச்
செல்வமே காக்கும் அவனியில் ஒருவனை.

பாதுகாக்க வல்லது பகுத்தறியும் திறன் ஒன்றே.
பாதுகாக்காது காவல், அறிவு திரிந்த ஒருவனை.

ஆட்டம் முடியும் வெகு விரைவில் – நாடகக்
கூட்டம் கலைந்து செல்வது போல்” என்றாள்.

‘எந்தப் பொருளும் நிலைத்து இருப்பதில்லை,
வந்து போகும் செல்வம் நல்வினைப் பயனாக.

துய்ப்பார்கள் அனுபவங்களை தம் உடலால்,
துய்க்கும் உடலும் காலத்தின் வசப்பட்டது.

காலமோ எனில் சூரியனின் வசப்பட்டது,
கால வயப்பட்டவை எல்லா ஜீவராசிகளும்.

வேண்டிப் பெறுகின்றனர் செல்வத்தை, உடலை.
வேண்டாம் என்றாலும் வந்து சேரும் துன்பம்.

துன்ப வயப்பட்டு தடைப்படும் இன்பம் - எனினும்
இன்பத்தைத் தானே விழைகின்றார்கள் மக்கள்?

வரங்களும் செல்வமும் காலமன்றோ தந்தது?
அரக்கனுக்கு இந்த மமதையை வளர்த்தது?’

எண்ணினாள் தேவி; நகைத்தாள் குலுங்கி
பண்ணினாள் உரத்த குரலில் ஒரு கர்ஜனை.

நடுங்கினர் அசுர வீரர்கள் அதைக் கேட்டு
இடியுண்ட நாகங்கள் போல உடல் நடுங்கி!

நடுங்கின மலையும், பூமியும், கடலும்,
ஓடினர் அசுரர் மஹிஷனின் சபைக்கு

5#9c. தூதுவன் வர்ணனை

நடுங்கி ஓடி வந்த அசுர வீரர்களிடம் கேட்டான்,
மிடுக்கான மஹிஷன் சினத்துடன் ஒரு கேள்வி .

“செய்தவன் யார் இந்தப் பேரொலியை? – அவன்
கையைப் பிடித்து இழுத்து வாருங்கள் இங்கே!

அசுரரே அஞ்சும் ஒலி எழுப்பியவனை நான்
நசுக்கி விடுகின்றேன் என் கைகளாலேயே !”

தேடிச் சென்றனர் ஓசை வந்த திசையில் – கண்டு
ஓடித் திரும்பினர் தேஜோமய தேவியை அங்கு!

“பேரொலி செய்தது அசுரனோ தேவனோ அல்ல!
பேரொளி வீசி நிற்கும் ஓர் அழகிய இளம் பெண்!

கண்டதில்லை இதுவரை அத்தகைய பெண்ணை!
கண்டிருக்க மாட்டீர்கள் அது போன்ற பெண்ணை!

பேச முயன்றோம், எழவில்லை நாவு – கண்கள்
கூசின அந்தப் பெண் வீசிய பேரொளியினால்.

உக்கிர ரூபியாக நிற்கின்றாள் அவள் – ஒவ்வொரு
பக்கத்துக்கும் அழகிய ஒன்பது கரங்கள் விளங்க.

பதினெட்டு ஆயுதங்கள் கரங்களில் ஒளிர்ந்திட,
பன்னிரண்டு ஆதித்தியரும் ஒளியில் நாணமுற.

நித்திய இளமை வாய்ந்தவள் – அவள்
வைத்துள்ளாள் பான பாத்திரம் கையில்!

“வைத்துள்ளேன் இந்த பான பாத்திரத்தை,
வைப்பேன் இதில் அரக்கர் உதிரத்தை நிரப்பி!”

கூத்தாடுகின்றனர் தேவர்கள் வானத்தில்,
ஏத்திப் புகழ்ந்து பாடுகின்றனர் பெண்ணை.

எடுத்துக் கூறுகின்றனர் நம்மைப் பற்றி;
கொடுமை அழியக் கோருகின்றனர் உதவி.

கோபம் கொள்கிறாள் அவள் – தேவர்கள்
தாபம் கூறி நிவாரணம் வேண்டுகையில்!”
