13e. அகலிகை


“தேவேந்திரன் இன்றி ஒளி இழந்து விட்டோம்
தேவர்கள் நாங்களும் தேவலோகம் முழுவதும்.

தேடாத இடமில்லை மூன்று உலகங்களிலும்.
தெரிந்தால் கூறுங்கள் இந்திரன் எங்கே என!”

“வஞ்சித்து விட்டான் இந்திரன் அகலிகையை.
அஞ்சி ஒளிந்துள்ளான் கௌதமர் சாபத்தால்.

இந்திரப் பதவியைப் பெற்றிருந்தும் காமத்தால்
உந்தப்பட்டு புரிந்தான் அவன் இழி செயல்கள்!”

அனைவரும் கூடிச் சென்றனர் கௌதமரிடம்;
அன்புடன் வரவேற்றார் தேவர்களை முனிவர்.

“தேவராஜனை இழந்து வாடுகிறது சுவர்க்கம்.
பாவத்தை மன்னித்துச் சாபநிவாரணம் தருக!

இச்சையால் வஞ்சியை வஞ்சித்தது குற்றமே.
பச்சாதாபம் கொண்டான், மன்னிப்புத் தருக “

கருணை கொண்டு மனமிளகினார் முனிவர்
“கற்பக விநாயகர் மந்திரம் மாற்றிவிடும்

அற்பப் பெண் குறிகளை இந்திரன் உடலில்
அற்புதக் கண்களாகக் கணப் பொழுதில்.

பிரஹஸ்பதிக்கு நான் உபதேசிக்கிறேன்
பிருஹஸ்பதி உபதேசிப்பார் இந்திரனுக்கு.”

கந்தர்ப்பத்தில், தடாகத் தாமரைத் தண்டில்,
சந்தர்ப்பத்தை நோக்கி இருந்தான் இந்திரன்.

நாணத்துடன் வெளிப்பட்ட இந்திரன் நீராடி,
ஆர்வத்துடன் பெற்றான் உபதேசம் குருவிடம்.

அற்பப் பெண்குறிகள் மாறிவிட்டன - ஆயிரம்
அற்புத விழிகளாக ஒரு கண நேரத்தில்.

13e. Ahalya Devi

“The swarga lacks luster without Indra. All of us have lost our glory due his absence. Do you have any idea where Indra is now?” The Deva asked Narada.

Narada replied,” Deva Raj Indra has deceived rushi patni Ahalya devi by impersonating her husband sage Goutama. He is hiding after being cursed by Goutama rushi”.

All of them now went to meet Goutama rushi. He welcomed the congregation of the Deva. The Deva apologized for the unwise acts of Indra and begged the rushi to pardon him and give a saapa nivaaranam.

The rushi was moved with pity. He agreed to teach the Karpaga Vinayaka mantram to Guru Sukraachaarya. He should in turn teach it to Indra. Then the marks of a woman all over Indra’s body would be transformed to beautiful eyes.

Indra was hiding in the stem of a lotus flower in a lake in the place called Kandharppam. The Deva reached there and called Indra to come out of his hiding place. Indra was ashamed to come out with his weird body.

He came out reluctantly. He took bath in the pond and learned the mantra from Guru Sukraachaarya. Immediately the ugly markings of a woman all over Indra’s body got transformed into one thousand lovely eyes.

7. மணம் பேசுதல்.

மணம் பேசி முடிவு செய்தால் அன்றோ
மணம் புரிந்து கொள்ள இயலும் பின்னர்?

உமையை மணம் பேசிட முனிவர்களை,
இமயத்துக்கு அனுப்பினான் சிவபிரான்.

இமவானும், மோனையும் வரவேற்றனர்
சிவனருள் பெற்ற முனிபுங்கவர்களை.

“இறைவனுக்கு உமையை மணம் பேசிட,
பிறையணி நாதன் பணித்தான் எம்மை!”

உமையைத் திருமணம் செய்து தர
இமவான் ஒப்பினான் மகிழ்வுடன்.

மோனைக்கு அச்சம் இருந்ததால்,
தானே கேள்விக்கணை தொடுத்தாள்.

“தக்ஷன் மகளைச் சிவபிரான் மணந்தான்;
தக்ஷன் தலையைக் கொய்வித்தான் அவன்,

அக்கதையைக் கேட்டு அஞ்சுகின்றேன் நான்
முக்கண்ணனுக்கு எம் மகளை அளிக்க!”

“மகளை மணம் செய்வித்ததால் தக்ஷன்
தலையைக் கொய்யவில்லை சிவன்,

சிவனை இகழ்ந்து வேள்வி செய்ததால்,
அவனை அழிக்கவேண்டி இருந்தது தாயே!

தன்னைப் பணிவோருக்குத் தண்ணருளும்,
தன்னை இகழ்வோருக்கு இன்னல்களும்,

பிறையணி நாதன் ஈவது இயல்பே!
மறையோரும் பிறரும் அறிவார் இதை.”

“பெண் புத்தி பின் புத்தி என்பதற்கேற்ப
உண்மை அறியாமல் பிதற்றி விட்டேன்!”

மன்னிப்புக் கேட்டாள் முனிபுங்கவரிடம்,
தன் தவற்றை உணர்ந்த மோனா தேவி.

“ஈசனுக்கு மகளை மணம் செய்வதற்கு
நேசத்துடன் யாம் காத்துள்ளோம் அறிவீர்!

நாளையே இங்கு எழுந்தருளி, நல்ல
வேளையில் மணம் புரியவேண்டும்!”

இன்சொற்களை இமவான் இங்ஙனம் கூற
இன்பம் அடைந்தனர் முனிபுங்கவர்கள்.

அன்புடன் நடந்ததைச் சிவனுக்கு உரைத்துப்
பின்பு தம் இருப்பிடம் திரும்பிச் சென்றனர்.

1. (# 7) THE WEDDING PROPOSAL.

The wedding should be proposed by the groom and accepted by the parents of the bride. Siva requested the rushis to talk on his behalf to Uma’s parents and get the proposal accepted by them.

The king and queen welcomed the rushis. They explained the purpose of their visit. Himavaan was more than happy at the proposal but Mona Devi had had her own doubts and shot a question at the rushis.

“I hear that Siva beheaded Dakshan -whose daughter he had married. This makes me hesitate as I am afraid of Siva!”

“Siva did not kill Dakshan because He had married his daughter. It was because Dakshan humiliated Siva on purpose – during the Yagnam performed by him.

Siva blesses and protects His devotees and punishes the miscreants. Everyone knows this to be true.”

Mona Devi begged for pardon and repented her hasty remarks. Himavaan requested the rushis to inform Siva that He should come there the next day to marry Uma at an auspicious hour.

The rushis were happy that their mission had been successful. They went to Kailash, told Siva of all the happenings. They took leave of Him and went back to their dwellings.

3#14b. பரத்வாஜர்

“யுதாஜித்தைக் காணச் செல்கின்றேன்!” என்றாள்.
ரதத்தில் ஏறினாள் மகன், தாதியுடன் மனோரமை.

விரைந்தாள் போர்க்களத்துக்கு மிகவும் ரகசியமாக;
கரைந்தாள் சோகத்தில் தந்தையின் உடலைக் கண்டு.

வனத்தில் செல்கையில் வந்தது கள்வர் கூட்டம்!
அனைத்தையும் அக்கூட்டம் பறித்துக் கொண்டது.

“உயிரோடு விட்டார்களே புண்ணியசாலிகள்!”
துயரோடு விரைந்தாள் கங்கைநதிக் கரைக்கு.

அடைந்தனர் படகில் ஏறித் திரிகூட மலையை;
அடைந்தனர் அங்கே பரத்வாஜரின் ஆசிரமத்தை.

“யார் அம்மா நீ? ஏன் வந்தாய் வனத்துக்கு?
யாருடைய மனைவி நீ! கூறு விவரங்களை!”

அழுத கண்ணீரால் கழுவினாள் பதங்களை!
தொழுத தாதிப் பெண் கூறினாள் சரிதத்தை!

“சூரிய வம்சத்து துருவசிந்துவின் ராணி;
பேர் மனோரமை; கலிங்கத்து இளவரசி.

பட்டத்து ராணி இவள்; சக்களத்தி பெயர் லீலாவதி;
வேட்டையாடிய மன்னனைக் கொன்றது சிங்கம்!

பட்டம் கட்ட வேண்டுமாம் சக்களத்தி மகனுக்கு!
பாட்டன்கள் இருவரும் மோதினர் யுத்தத்தில்;

மடிந்து போனார் இவள் தந்தை போரில்!
துணிந்து தப்பித்தோம் இளவரசனுடன்.”

கனிவுடன் கேட்டார் முனிவர் அவள் கதையை.
மனம் இறங்கினார் அவள் நிர்கதியை எண்ணி!

“தங்கியிருக்கலாம் ஆசிரமத்தில் அச்சமின்றி!
இங்கிருக்கும் வரை இல்லை எந்த ஆபத்தும்!”

பர்ணசாலையில் வாழ்ந்து வந்தனர் அமைதியாக;
வர்ணமயமான அரசவாழ்வு தொலைந்த போதும்!

3#14b. Sage Bharatwaaj

Manorama told the palace guards that she wanted to visit King Yuthaajit. She got into a chariot with her son Sudharshan, a trusted maid servant and a body guard. The group went to the battle field secretly. She broke down on seeing the dead body of her father King Veerasenan.

Then they hurried from there into the jungle. A group thieves stopped them and took away everything they had with them. The group was happy to be left alive and kicking. They reached the banks of River Ganges and took a boat. They reached Trikoota parvtham and went to the ashram of sage Bharatwaaj.

Manorama wept bitter tears in self pity. The sage was moved by her tears and asked about the cause of her sorrow. The maid servant who was accompanying the queen told the sage the life history of the queen,

“This is Queen Manorama, the wife of King Dhruvasinshu of Soorya vamsam. She is also the princess of Kalinga and the daughter of King Veerasenan. She is the queen on the throne. The other wife of the king is Queen Leelaavati. A ferocious lion killed king Dhruvasindhu when he went on a hunting expedition.

The other Queen Leelaavati’s father wants to crown his grandson Sathrujit. In the war between the two grandfathers, Veerasenan the king of Kalinga got killed. We ran away from the palace in order to save the life of the prince Sudharshan”

The heart of the sage Bharatwaaj melted with pity on hearing her story. He assured her of her safety and told her, “Oh Queen! You may stay here in my ashram without any fear. No harm will befall on you and your son, when you are under my protection”

Manorama and her son Sudharshan lived a simple and humble live in the ashram – even though they had none of the kingly comforts there.

13f. சிந்தாமணி விநாயகர்

“தேவலோகம் ஒளியிழந்து வாடி நிற்கிறது.
தேவர்கோன் திரும்ப வேண்டும் இப்போதே!”

அன்புக் கட்டளை இட்டது தேவர்களின் குழூ;
பண்புடன் பதில் அளித்தான் தேவேந்திரன்.

“ஷடாக்ஷர மந்திரம் தொலைத்தது பாவத்தை.
கடாக்ஷம் பெறவேண்டும் கற்பக விநாயகரது!

பெருமானை பூஜித்து அருள் பெற்ற பின்னரே
திரும்புவேன் நான் சுவர்க்கம்; செல்வீர் நீவீர!”

தேவர்கள் சென்றனர் விடை பெற்றுக் கொண்டு.
தேவேந்திரன் சென்றான் கதம்ப வனத்துக்கு!

தடாகக் கரையில் எழுப்பினான் ஓர் ஆலயம்.
விடாமல் தவம் செய்தான் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள்.

அன்ன ஆகாரம் இன்றிச் செய்த தவத்தால்
அண்ணல் மகிழ்ந்து தந்தார் தன் தரிசனம்

வேழமுகத்துடன், நான்கு கரங்களுடன்,
அழகிய பெருமான் அளித்தார் வரங்கள்.

“என்னாளும் குறையாத பக்தியைத் தாரீர்.
இந்நாள் முதல் சிந்தாமணி விநாயகர் ஆவீர்.

தீர்த்தம் ஆகவேண்டும் சிந்தாமணித் தீர்த்தம்;
தீர்ப்பீர் தொழுகின்ற அன்பர்கள் குறைகளை.

சகல கார்ய சித்தி அருள வேண்டும் ஐயனே!
சகல இடர்களும் விலக வேண்டும் ஐயனே.”

பணிந்து வேண்டினான் பக்தியுடன் இந்திரன்;
கனிந்து அளித்தார் கோரிய வரங்களை.

சிந்தாமணி விநாயகரைத் தொழுது தன்
சிந்தாகுலம் தீர்ந்தான் இந்திரன் அன்று.

சிந்தாமணித் தீர்த்தத்தில் நீ நீராடுவாய்;
சிந்தாமணி விநாயகரைத் தொழுவாய்.

சிந்தையைக் கலக்கும் நோய் மறையும்;
சொந்த உருவம் திரும்பும் நொடியில்.”

13f. ChintAmaNi VinAyakar.

“Swargga lacks luster without your presence. You must return to swarga immediately!” the Deva insisted Indra.

Indra replied, “The shatAkshara mantra nullified my sins. But I must get the blessings of VinAyaka before I return to swargga. I request all of you to go back to swargga now”

The Deva obeyed him. They took leave of him and went back to Swargga. Indra went to Kadambavanam. He built a temple at the bank of the thadAgam.

He did penance there for one thousand years without food and sleep. VinAyaka was very pleased with him and gave him his dharshan.

Indra asked for these boons. “I must be blessed with undiminished bhakti to you. You must be worshiped as ChintAmani Vinayaka here. This theertham must become ChintAmani theertham. All the difficulties of the devotees worshiping you here must be removed and their problems rectified. “

Vinayaka blessed with all the boons he sought. Indra worshiped the ChintAmani VinAyaka after bathing in the ChintAmani theertham. You too do the same and I am sure your disease will be cured in no time” Narada advised to RukmAngathan.

8a. திருமண ஏற்பாடுகள்.

திருக்காட்சி தந்து அருளினான் உமைக்கு!
திருமணம் பேச அனுப்பினான் முனிவரை!

உலக அன்னை உமையின் திருமணம்
உலகத் தந்தை சிவ பெருமானுடன்!

நினைத்த மாத்திரத்தில் எதிரில் நின்றான்
அனைத்தும் அறிந்த தேவத் தச்சன்.

“திருமணத்திற்காக அலங்கரிப்பாய்
பருவதத்தை அமராவதிக்கு நிகராக!”

திறமைகளை எல்லாம் வெளிக்காட்டி,
அழகிய நகரையே உருவாக்கினான்!

கோபுரங்கள், மண்டபங்கள், பந்தல்கள்,
சாமரங்கள், மலர் மாலைகள், கொடிகள்,

தோரணங்கள், வாழை, பாக்கு மரங்கள்,
தோதாகப் பொருட் சாலைகள் என்று.

பதினாதிரம் யோஜனை பரப்புள்ள மதில்!
திசைக்கொன்றாக வாசலில் கோபுரங்கள்;

பசும் பொன் மண்டபம் ஒன்று நடுவிலே;
பன்னீர், சந்தனம், கஸ்தூரி தெளித்தான்.

பல வண்ணத் திண்ணைகள் அமைத்தான்
சிலைகளை அழகுற நிறுவி அமைத்தான்.

இந்திர நீல இரத்தின அரியணை ஒன்று
சுந்தர மணமக்கள் மண்டபத்தில் எழுந்தருள!

1 (# 8A). THE WEDDING ARRANGEMENTS.

Siva had given darshan to Uma. He had sent the Rishis to move the marriage proposal. The wedding of the ‘Mother of the Universe’ with ‘Father of Creation’!

Himavaan thought of the heavenly carpenter, and he appeared there in a moment. “It is the wedding of the Gods. Decorate Himalaya to match with AmarAvati.”

The divine carpenter was well pleased with his assignment. He built an entire city on the mountain!

There were Gopurams, mandapam, pandals, pankhaas, flower garlands, flowering creepers, banana trees, betel nut trees, and decorations of all kinds.

A huge area of 10,000 yOjanas was enclosed with high walls. At the center was a beautiful wedding mandapam made of purest gold. Rose water mixed with sandal paste and kasthoori was sprinkled there.

Many statues were set in good spots decorating the place. A throne studded with the sparkling blue sapphires was set for the couple to sit upon.

3#15a. சத்ருஜித்

திரும்பினான் யுதாஜித் வெற்றியுடன் அயோத்தி;
விரும்பினான் இளவரசன் சுதர்சனனை அழித்திட!

காணவில்லை அரசியுட ன் சுதர்சனனை – கரை
காணவில்லை வெடித்துக் கிளம்பிய சீற்றமும்!

தேடினார்கள் எண் திசைகளிலும் ஒற்றர்கள்
ஓடியவர்கள் சென்ற திசை தெரியவில்லை.

முடி சூட்டினான் தன் பேரன் சத்ருஜித்துக்கு;
குடிமக்கள் வருந்தினர் சுதர்சனனை எண்ணி.

சத்ருஜித் வயதில் மூத்தவன் என்பதால்
சத்ரு பயம் இருந்து வரும் எப்போதும்.

பொறுப்பை அளித்தான் அமைச்சர்களுக்கு.
திரும்பினான் தனது உஜ்ஜயினி நகருக்கு.

தெரியவந்தது சுதர்சனன் ஒளிந்துள்ள இடம்
பரத்துவாஜரின் ஆசிரமம் என்கின்ற உண்மை.

போட்டிக்காரனால் நிலவும் என்றும் அபாயம் !
போட்டிக்காரனை விலக்குவதே நல்ல உபாயம்!

சேனையுடன் சென்றான் பரத்துவாஜரின் ஆசிரமம்
சேனையுடன் சென்றான் வேடராஜன் துர்த்தரிகன்.

செய்தியறிந்த மனோரமை நடு நடுங்கினாள்;
செய்வதறியாமல் முனிவரைச் சரணடைந்தாள்.

“தந்தையைக் கொன்ற பாவி இங்கு வருகிறான்;
எந்தத் தீமையும் செய்யத் தயங்க மாட்டான்!

எப்படிக் காப்பீர் எங்களை அவனிடமிருந்து?
எப்படி எதிர்கொள்வீர் அவன் சேனையை? “

3#15a. Satrujit

Yudaajit returned to Ayodhya victoriously. He wanted to put an end to Prince Sudarsanan. When he learned that Queen Manorama had escaped with her son, his anger knew no bounds.

He sent out spies in every direction but they could not trace the queen and the crown prince. He made his own grandson Sathrujit the new king. He distributed the responsibility of ruling the kingdom to the ministers and went back to his country Ujjayini.

Later on he learened that Sudarsanan and Manorama had taken refuge at the ashram of sage BharatwAj. He sent out an army along with the king of hunters called Durtharigan.

Manorama trembled with fear when she heard this news. She took refuge at the feet of sage BharatwAj and asked him, “How are you going to save us from the wicked king sire? How are you going to deal with the army sent out by YudAjit?”

14a. ருக்மாங்கதன்

அரசனைக் காணாது திரும்பிச் சென்றவர்கள்
அரசனைத் தேடக் கானகம் வந்தனர் மறுநாள்.

நாரத முனிவருடன் அரசனைக் கண்டனர்
கூறினார் அவனைப் பணிந்து வணங்கி,

“தங்களைக் காணாது தவித்தும் நேற்று
தங்களைக் கண்டு மகிழ்ந்தோம் இன்று.

கானகத்தில் நிகழ்ந்தது என்ன மன்னா?
வானவர் மயங்கும் உருவம் மாறியதேன்?”

நடந்த கதையைக் கூறிய ருக்மாங்கதன்
நடக்கப்போவதையும் கூறினான் பின்னர்.

“சென்று கதம்பவனம் சேருவேன் இப்போதே!
வென்று கொடிய நோயைத் திரும்புவேன் நாடு!”

சிந்தாமணித் தீர்த்தத்தில் மூழ்கி எழுந்தான்;
சிந்தாமணி விநாயகரைத் தொழுது நின்றான்;

தந்தை உபதேசித்த மந்திரத்தை ஜபித்தான்;
விந்தை காணீர்! மறைந்தது வெண்குஷ்டம்!

விமானத்தில் வந்தனர் தேவகணங்கள்,
“விநாயகர் அழைக்கிறார் வருக மன்னா!”

“கிடைத்தற்கரிய பெருமை இது எனினும்
விடமுடியாது வயது முதிர்ந்த பெற்றோரை!”

“தாய், தந்தையரை எண்ணி நீராடுங்கள்!
வாய்க்கும் அவர்களுக்கும் இந்தப் பெருமை.”

தீர்த்தமாடி எழுந்தனர் அரசனும், மற்றோரும்.
ஆர்வத்துடன் அடைந்தனர் கௌண்டின்யபுரம்.

வந்தன விமானங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் – ஏறிச்
சென்றனர் விண்ணுலகம் விநாயகரிடம்!

14a. Rukmangathan

The soldiers who went back home after searching for their king returned to the forest the next day. They were happy too see Rukmaangathan along with Deva rushi Narada. They were shocked by the change in the appearance of the king and wished to know what had happened in the forest the previous day.

Rukmaangathan told them the incidents that took place. He told them, “I am going to the Chintaamnith theertham right now. I shall get cured of this dreadful disease and come back to our country.”

He took a dip in the Chintaamanith theertham. He worshiped the Chintmani Vinayaka. He chanted the mantra taught by his father. The terrible disease disappeared and he was as handsome as ever before.

A Vimanam came down and the Deva riding it invited the King to the land of Vinayaka. The king replied, “It is an honor to meet Vinayaka. But I can’t desert my aged parents down here.”

‘Take a dip again thinking of all the people you want to be with you. The king and the soldiers took a dip thinking of their family and loved ones. They went back to Koundinyapuram. Vimanams came down for everyone. They all left heavenwards to the land of Vinayaka.

8b. திருமணச் செய்தி.

அமராவதியாக மாறிவிட்ட இமயத்தை
இமவான் கண்டு மனம் மகிழ்ந்தான்.

நான்முகன், திருமால், தேவர்களை
அன்பு மனைவியுடன் வருகை தருமாறு

செய்தி விடுத்தான் எல்லோருக்கும்.
செய்தி அறிந்து வந்து குவிந்தனர்!

மந்தரம், மேரு போன்ற மலைகளும்,
திக்கஜங்கள், நாகர்கள், கடல்கள் என்று.

அலைமகளும், கலைமகளும் வணங்கி, பின்
மலைமகளைச் செய்தனர் அரிய மணமகளாக.

மலை அரசன் அடைந்தான் திருக்கயிலை;
மலைமகளை மணம் புரிய ஈசனை அழைக்க,

“கணங்களுடன் கணப் பொழுதில் வருவேன்!
சுணங்காமல் செல்லுவீர் நீவிர் முன்னே!”

இறைவன் ஆணைப்படியே மலை அரசனும்
விரைந்து திரும்பினான் மணமண்டபத்துக்கு.

1 (# 8 B) THE WEDDING INVITE.
Himavaan was pleased to note that now Himalayas competed with Amaravathy in it beauty and splendor.
He sent out wedding invites to Brahman, Vishnu and all the other Devas. Whosoever was invited turned up for the wedding. Mountains like Meru, Manadra giri, the dig gajas, naagars, oceans were all present there.
Lakshmi Devi and Saraswathi Devi arrived with their lords and decorated Uma as a lovely bride.
Himavaan went to Kailash with his retinue and invited Siva to marry Uma at the auspicious hour.
Siva told him, ‘I will come with my Siva ganas. You may please return first”
Himavaan went back with his group of persons.

3#15b. மனோரமையின் மனக்கவலை

முனிவரிடம் கூறினாள் மனோரமை – தன்
மனத்தை வாட்டி வதைத்த அச்சங்களை!

“பாண்டவர்கள் இருந்தனர் வன வாசத்தில்.
பாஞ்சாலி இருந்தாள் ரிஷி பத்தினிகளுடன்.

முனிவர் செய்திடுவர் வேதபாராயணம்;
முனி பத்தினிகள் காப்பர் பாஞ்சாலியை.

வேட்டைக்குச் சென்றிருந்தனர் பாண்டவர்கள்;
வேந்தன் சைந்தவன் வந்தான் சேனைகளுடன்.

வேதகோஷம் கேட்டு வணங்கினான் முனிவரை.
வேதியர்களிடம் கூறினான் தான் ஜயத்ரதன் என.

வேந்தனைக் காண வந்தனர் ரிஷிபத்தினிகள்;
வேந்தன் கண்டான் பாஞ்சாலியை ஆவலுடன்.

“இனிய பெண் இவள் யார்?” என வினவினான்
முனிவர் கூறினர் திரௌபதியின் விவரங்களை.

“பாஞ்சால நாட்டின் இளவரசி பாஞ்சாலி.
பாண்டவர்களுடன் தங்கியுள்ளாள் இங்கே.

பாஞ்சாலியை நெருங்கினான் ஜயத்ரதன்;
பலாத்காரம் செய்திடவும் முற்பட்டான்!

ஐவரின் மனைவிக்கே அந்த கதியென்றால்
எவரும் இல்லாத என் கதி என்ன ஆகும்?

பகைவன் வந்தால் தடுத்திட வேண்டும்!
நகை முகத்துடன் வரவேற்க வேண்டாம்.

ஆண் எந்தப் பாதகத்துக்கும் துணிவான்!
மண், பெண், பொன் ஆசையில்லாதவன் யார்?

பெண்ணைக் காக்க உள்ள வழி ஒன்றே – ஆணைப்
பெண்ணிடம் நெருங்கிச் செல்ல விடவே கூடாது”

3#15b. Manorama’s fear

Queen Manorama spoke to the sage Bharatwaaj about the fears ripping her mind.

“PaaNdavaas were in vanavaasam. Paanchaali lived under tha care of the rish patnis. The rishis would do Veda paaraayaNam all the time.

One day the PaaNdavaas had gone out to hunt for food. The king Jayadradan went by the ashram. He heard the Vedha gosham and went to pay his repect to the sages. He introduced himself to them as King Jayadradan.

All the rishi patnis wanted to see the king and came there. Paanchaali was among them. Jayadrathan asked the detilas about her – the most beautiful woman in that group. The rushis told him that she was the princess of Paanchaala Desam and the wife of PaaNdvaas.

Jayadradan got infatuated with Paanchaali, went near her and tried to misbehave with her, in the presence of everyone. If this is the fate of the wife of five valorous men, what will be my fate since I have no one to protect me?

You must stop the army of the enemies. You must not let them approach me. There is no man who does not covet land, gold and women.”

14b. கிருச்சதமர்

ருக்மாங்கதன் நிராகரித்த முகுந்தை
வெட்கம்கெட்டு அலைந்தாள் வனத்தில்.

வேதனை தந்தது அரசனின் உருவெளி!
சோதனை ஆனது உயிருடன் வாழ்வது!

தேவேந்திரன் கண்ணுற்றான் அவளை
வேதனையைப் போக்க செய்தான் முடிவு.

ருக்மாங்கதன் உருவில் அருகில் வரவே
சிக்கல் தீர்ந்தது என ஆரத் தழுவினாள்;

கிள்ளை மொழிகள் பேசினாள் அவனிடம்;
கொள்ளை இன்பம் தந்தாள், பெற்றாள்.

தாபம் தீர்ந்ததும் சென்றான் இந்திரன்.
பாவம் செய்தவள் அடைந்தாள் கர்ப்பம்.

கவி முனி அறியவில்லை நடந்தவற்றை;
புவி மேல் மிதந்தார் தன் குழந்தை என!

ஆண் மகவை ஈன்றாள் அந்த முகுந்தை;
பேணினர் கிருச்சதமர் என்ற பெயரிட்டு.

ஆறாவது வயதில் நடந்தது உபநயனம்
ஆர்வத்துடன் கற்றுத் தேர்ந்தான் குழந்தை.

கணேச மந்திரத்தைக் கற்று ஓதினான்!
குணவானாகக் கீர்த்தியுடன் வாழ்ந்தான்.

மகத நாட்டில் குழுமினர் முனிவர்கள்;
சகல விஷயங்களையும் விவாதித்தனர்.

போட்டி தொடங்கியது இருவர் இடையே;
போட்டி போட்டவர் அத்ரி, கிருச்சதமர்.

வெல்ல முடியவில்லை அத்ரி போட்டியில்!
சொல்ல முடியவில்லை தோற்றுவிட்டதாக!

“வாதம் செய்யும் தகுதி இல்லை உனக்கு!
வாதம் நிகழ்வது முனிவர்கள் இடையே!

அரசனுக்குப் பிறந்த நீ அரசகுமாரன்!
அரசன் மகன் முனிகுமாரன் ஆவனா?”

14b. Kruchchadamar

Scorned by King Rukmaangathan, Mukundai roamed in the forest completely disappointed. The figure of the king appeared in her mind and drove her mad with unfulfilled desire. Suddenly she found life too difficult to bear.

Indra saw her and decided to put an end to her suffering. He assumed the form of Rukmaangathan and went near her. Mukundai thought that Rukmaangathan had changed his mind and returned to her with love.

She hugged him and whispered to him sweet nothings. She gave him immense pleasure and in that process got her desire sated.

Indra in the guise of the king Rukmaangathan left after Mukundai’s desire was fulfilled. She became pregnant due to this strange encounter. Kavi muni never suspected anything amiss and felt elated thinking that the baby was his own.

In due course Mukundai delivered a male child. He was named as Krichchadamar and brought up with love. That child was extremely brilliant.

His upanayanam was performed in his sixth year and the boy learned everything with interest. He learned the Ganesa mantra and soon earned a good name and fame.

Once all the rushis went to Magada kingdom. They were discussing various things. Athri and Kruchchadamar got into an argument. Athri argued but could not win over Kruchchadamar.

But he did not want to accept his defeat either. He got up in the sabha filled with rushis and spoke to Kruchchadamar thus: “Debates should take place between the sons of rushis. You are the son of a king. So you a prince and not the son of a sage”

9. தேவர்கள் வந்தனர்

“ருத்திரர்களையும், மற்ற தேவர்களையும் இங்கு
மொத்தமாகக் குழுமச் செய்வாய் நந்தி தேவா!”

சிந்தையில் அவர்களை நினைவு கூர்ந்ததும்,
வந்து குழுமினர் நந்தியின் முன் அனைவரும்.

காலாக்னி ருத்திரருடன் நூறுகோடி கணங்கள்;
கூர்மாண்டேசருடன் பல கோடி பூதங்கள்;

ஆடகேசுரருடன் கோடி கோடி ருத்திரர்கள்;
வீரபத்திரருடன் நூறாயிரம் கோடி பூதங்கள்;

அய்யனாருடன் நூறு கோடி பூதங்கள் வந்தன;
அய்யன் கட்டளைப்படி அனைவரும் வந்து,

ஈசனைக் கண்டு போற்றிப் புகழ்ந்தனர்.
மணக்கோலம் காண மிக விழைந்தனர்.

நான்முகன் தந்த பொன் ஆபரணங்களைத்
தான் அணியவில்லை; தொட்டு அருளினார்.

தன் பாம்புகளையும், பிறவற்றையும்,
மின்னும் ஆபரணங்களாக மாற்றினார்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

1 (#9). GATHERING ALL THE DEVAS.

Siva told Nandhi, “Please gather all the Devas here on mount kailash!” As Nandhi thought about them, each of them appeared on Kailash.

Kaalaagni Rudran came with a hundred crore ganas.

Koormaandesar turned up with seventy two crore boothaas.

Aadakesuran came with one crore crores Rudraas.

Veerabadran came with 110,000 crores of ganas.

Ayyanaar came with hundred crores boothams.

They all sang the praise of the lord and were eager to see His wedding with Uma.

Brahma presented Siva with precious ornaments worthy of a groom. Siva merely touched them.

He transformed his own bone and snake ornaments into gold jewels studded with precious gems.
