Kanda puraanam - porpuri kaandam

8a. அக்னிமுகாசுரன்.

சூர பத்மனின் மகன்களில் ஒருவன்
வீரன் அக்கினி முக அவுண இளவரசன்.

தாயின் கருவிலே உருவாகும் போதே
தாயின் உடலிலிருந்து சிந்திய தீயால்;

அன்னைக் கருவிலிருந்து பிறந்ததும்
அக்கினி முகன் என்னும் அரிய பெயர்.

திக் பாலகர்களை வென்ற வீரன் அவன்!
திக் கஜங்களை வென்ற சூரன் அவன்.

தமையன் ஆதவனைச் சிறை செய்தான்.
தம்பியோ திங்களைச் சிறை செய்தான்!

மாயப் போர்கள் புரிவதில் வல்லவன்!
தெய்வப் படைக்கலன்கள் பெற்றவன்.

போருக்குப் புறப்பட்டான் அக்னி முகன்
முரசொலியே வீழ்த்தியது முகில்களை.

போர் தொடங்கியது பூத, அவுணரிடையே.
தாரகைகள் உதிர்ந்தன! நிலம் அதிர்ந்தது.

இரு புறங்களிலும் பெரும் உயிர்ச்சேதம்!
பொருதனர் அக்கினிமுகன் வீரபுரந்தரர்.

பொருதனர் வீரரின் ஏழு இளவல்களும்!
அரிய படைக் கலனகளைச் செலுத்தினர்.

சிவப் படை செலுத்தினான் அவுணன்.
வருணப் படையைச் செலுத்தினர் வீரர்.

சிவப் படை விழுங்கியது வருணப்படையை.
சிவலோகத்துக்கு அனுப்பியது எழுவரையும்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

Kanda puraanam - porpuri kaandam

4 # 8 a. Agni mukaasuran.

Agni mukhan was one of Soorapadman’s many sons. When he was in his mother’s womb, she gave out fire from her body. So the baby was named as Agni mukhan.

He was a valorous prince. He had defeated ashta dig palakas and the ashta dig gajas. He had imprisoned the moon just as his brother Bhaanu koban had imprisoned the sun.

He was an expert in the maya tricks and had secured many divine asthrams. He got ready and left for the battle field.

The noise of the war drums made the clouds fall from the sky! A terrible war ensued between the asura and the demons. The earth trembled and the stars sprinkled down from the sky.

There was a heavy loss of life in both the sides. Veera purantharar fought with Agni mukhan. His seven younger brothers also joined him in the war. Agni mukhan shot the Siva asthram. The brothers shot the Varuna asthram.

The Siva asthram gobbled up the Varuna asthram and dispatched the seven brothers to Siva lokam.

VINAAYAKA PURAANAM - 2

14g. ரிபுஞ்சயன்

ஸ்வாயம்பு மனுச் சக்கரவர்த்தி மறைந்த பின்பு,
ஸ்வபாவமாக மழை பொழியவில்லை உலகில்.

அறுபதாயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் பொய்த்தது வானம்!
வறட்சியும், பஞ்சமும் தலை விரித்து ஆடின!

நகரங்களும், நாடுகளும் அழியத் தொடங்கின;
நன்கு ஆளும் அரசன் ஒருவன் உடனே தேவை.

காசியில் ரிபுஞ்சயன் தவம் செய்திருந்தான்,
காசி விஸ்வநாதரைக் குறிந்து நெடுங்காலம்.

குற்றமற்ற அரசன் ஆவான் ரிபுஞ்ஜயன்,
ஏற்ற அரசன் ஆவான் மண்ணுலகை ஆள!

பிரமதேவன் தேடிச்சென்றான் ரிபுஞ்சயனை;
பிரமன் எடுத்துரைத்தான் தன் எண்ணங்களை.

“நல்ல அரசன் இன்றேல் நாடு பாழாகிவிடும்;
பொல்லாத வறட்சி, பஞ்சம் நீங்க வேண்டும்.

சக்ரவர்த்தியாக இருந்து நீ ஆளவேண்டும்!
மிக்காரும் ஒப்பரும் இல்லாத ஆதிசேஷன்

அளிப்பார் உனக்கு நல்ல மனையாளாக;
அனங்கமோகினி என்னும் குமாரத்தியை!

திவோதாசன் என்னும் பெயரில் திகழ்வாய்
புவி நன்றியுடன் புகழும் உன் சேவைகளை!”

கூறினான் ரிபுஞ்சயன் ஒரு மறு மொழி;
சிறிதும் பிரமன் எதிர்பாராத மறுமொழி!

“ஏற்கின்றேன் உங்கள் கோரிக்கையை நான்!
ஏற்க வேண்டும் என் கோரிக்கையை நீங்கள்!

தேவர்கள் இருக்கக் கூடாது காசி நகரில்;
தேவை எனக்கு இந்த உறுதிமொழியே!”

பிரமன் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டான் கோரிக்கையை.
பிரமன் சென்றான் விஸ்வநாதரைத் தரிசிக்க.

VINAAYAKA PURAANAM - 2

44g. Ripunjayan

After Swaayambu Manu passed away, the monsoon rains failed for sixty thousand years. Draught and famine afflicted the whole world.

Cities were deserted and kingdoms disappeared. A good ruler was the need of the hour – to protect the earth from further deterioration and destruction.

Ripunjayan was a good king. He was doing penance on Lord Siva in Kasi for a very long time. Brahma thought that Ripunjayan was the only king qualified to rule the earth well and save it from complete destruction.

He approached Ripunjayan and explained to him thus,

” In the absence of a good ruler, the country suffers. To remove the drought and the famine, you must rule over the earth as its emperor.

Aadhiseshan will marry his beautiful daughter Ananga Mohini to you. You will become famous as Divodaasan. The earth and all its inhabitants will remain eternally grateful to you!”

Ripunjayan gave a reply which no one could have expected including Brahma.

“I agree to your requests but you must agree to my requests. I will rule the world as an emperor only if all the Deva go away from the city of Kasi”

Brahma had no choice and accepted the strange condition. He then went to Kasi to have a darshan of Viswanaathar.

5#28b. விவித சக்திகள் (2)

தேவியிடமிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டனர் சக்திகள் – உரிய
தெய்வங்களின் வாகனங்களில் அமர்ந்து உலவினர்.

பிரம்மனின் சக்தி ஆனது பிரம்மாணியாக – கரங்களில்
ஜபமாலை, கமண்டலம் ஏந்தி, அன்ன வாகனம் ஏறி.

விஷ்ணுவின் சக்தி ஆனது வைஷ்ணவியாக – கரங்களில்
சங்கு, சக்கரம், கதை, பத்மம் ஏந்தி கருட வாகனம் ஏறி.

ருத்திரனின் சக்தி ஆனது மாஹேஸ்வரியாக – முடிமேல்
பிறையைச் சூடிக் கொண்டு, சர்ப்ப கங்கணங்களுடன்;

திரி சூலம் ஏந்திக் கொண்டு, ரிஷப வாகனத்தின் மீது
திரி நேத்திரங்களுடனும், திரு நீற்றுப் பூச்சுடனும்.

கெளமாரியாக ஆனது குமரனின் சக்தி – வந்தாள்
கௌமாரி கையில் வேலேந்தி மயில் வாகனத்தில்.

ஐந்திரி ஆனாள் இந்திரனின் சக்தி – வந்தாள்
ஐந்திரி ஐராவதத்தின் மீது வஜ்ஜிராயுதத்துடன்.

வராஹி ஆனாள் வராஹ மூர்த்தியின் சக்தி;
நாரசிம்மி ஆனாள் நரசிங்க மூர்த்தியின் சக்தி.

யாமீ ஆனாள் யமதர்மனின் சக்தி – வந்தாள்
யாமி தண்டாயுதத்துடன் எருமை மீது ஏறி.

வாருணி ஆனாள் வருண தேவனின் சக்தி;
கெளபேரி ஆனாள் குபேர யக்ஷனின் சக்தி.

அணிவகுத்து நின்றனர் சக்திகள் அனைவரும்
அன்னை மஹாசக்தியின் இரண்டு புறங்களிலும்.

மகிழ்ந்தாள் மஹா சக்தி இவர்களைக் கண்டு
மகிழ்ந்தனர் தேவர்கள் சக்திகளைக் கண்டு.

5#28b. Various forms of Shakti Devi

The Shakti of various Gods emerged from the Mahaa Shakti. They assumed the forms of the respective Gods to whom they blonged and rode on their respective vaahanaas.

Brahma’s Shakti became BrahmaaNi. She held a japa maala and kamndalam in her hands and her vaahana was a swan.

Vishnu’s shakti became VaishNavi. She held a conch, a discus, a mace and a lotus in her four hands. She rode on Garudan.

Rudran’s shakti became Maaheswari. She wore a crescent moon and serpents in the place of various ornaments. She rode on Nandi holding a trident and sporting three eyes and her body was smeared with holy ash.

Kumaran’s shakti became Koumaari. She rode on a peacock and held a spear in her hands.

Indra’s shakti becme Aindri. She rode on Airaavat holding Vajraayudam in her hands.

Varaaha moorthis’ shakti becam Vaaraahee. Narasimha moorthi’s shakti became Naara simhi.

Yama Dharman’s shakthi became Yaami. She rode on a buffalo holding a dandaayudam. Varuna’s Shakti became VaaruNi and Kuberan’s shakti became Kouberi.

These various Devis stood on either side of the Mahaa Shakti. Devi was pleased on seeing them. So also the Devaas who were watching them from above.

8b. வீரவாகு

வீரவாகு நெருங்கினான் அக்கினி முகனை;
வீர மொழிகள் பேசினர் இரு வீரர்களும்.

அம்புகள் எய்தனர் நாண் ஒலியை எழுப்பி.
அம்புகள் நேராக ஒன்றை ஒன்று அழித்தன.

ஆயிரம் கணைகள் எய்த அவுணன்
பாய்ச்சினான் வீரவாகுவின் நெற்றியில்!

ஆயிரம் கணைகள் செலுத்தி வீரவாகு
அழித்தான் அவுணனின் தேரை, வில்லை!

தடிப்படை எடுத்து வீசினான் அவுணன்
பொடிப்பொடி ஆக்கினார் அதை வீரவாகு.

காற்றுப் படையைச் செலுத்தினான் அவுணன்.
காற்றுப் படையைச் செலுத்தினார் வீரவாகு!

யமப் படையைச் செலுத்தினான் அவுணன்
யமப் படையைச் செலுத்தினார் வீரவாகு.

ஞாயிற்றுப் படையைச் செலுத்தினான் அவுணன்
ஞாயிற்றுப் படையைச் செலுத்தினார் வீரவாகு,

நஞ்சு பாய்ச்சிய நூறு கணைகளை அவுணன்
நெஞ்சில் பாய்ச்சினார் வீரவாகுத் தேவர்.

தேரில் விழுந்தான் மார்பில் குறுதி பொங்க .
நேரில் வந்த நமனும் அஞ்சினான் நெருங்க.

ஆபத்தில் உதவிடும் காளியின் வழிபாட்டை
அக்கினி முகன் செய்து வந்தது உண்டு.

உயிர் பிரியும் நேரத்தில் காளியை வந்து
உதவி செய்யுமாறு பிரார்த்தனை செய்தான்.

KANDA PURAANAM - PORPURI KANDAM

4 # 8 b. Veerabaahu and Agnimukhan.

Veerabaahu went near Agnimukhan. Both of them spoke out valorous words. Both of them shot their arrows. The arrows were well matched and destroyed each other.

Agnimukhan shot one thousand arrows and hurt Veerabaahu’s forehead. Veerabaahu shot one thousand arrows and shattered Agnimukhan’s chariot and his bow.

Agnimukhan threw his dandam and Veerabaahu promptly shattered it by an arrow.

Agnimukhan shot the Vaayu ashram. Veerabaahu also shot the Vaayu asthram.

Agnimukhan shot the asthram of Yama. Veerabaahu also shot the same.

Agnimukhan shot the asthram of Sun and Veerabaabhu also shot the same.

Veerabaahu shot one hundred poisonous arrows on Agnimukhan’s chest. He collapsed on his chariot bleeding heavily.

Naman who came in person to take his life away was afraid to go near him.

Agnimukhan used to worship a Kali who would help in in the face of a danger. He remembered her and prayed to her to come to his help.

VINAAYAKA PURAANAM - 2

14h. மந்தரகிரி

மந்தரகிரி தவம் செய்தது சிவனைக் குறித்து;
மந்தரகிரிக்கு அருளச் சென்றார் சிவபிரான்.

உடன் சென்றனர் சிவகணங்களும், பிரமனும்;
கடும் தவம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார் மரீசியும்!

அளித்தார் சிவபிரான் மரீசிக்கு வரங்களை;
அளித்தது மந்தரமலை தன் விண்ணப்பத்தை!

“தேவர்கள் சூழக் காசியில் வசிப்பது போலவே,
தேவரீர் எழுந்தருள வேண்டும் என்னிடத்திலும்.”

பிரமன் குறுக்கிட்டான் தக்க தருணத்தை நோக்கி;
பிரமன் தெரிவித்தான் ரிபுஞ்ஜயன் கோரிக்கையை!

“தேவர்கள் வெளியேற வேண்டுமாம் காசியிலிருந்து!
தேவரீர் ஏற்கவேண்டும் மந்தரத்தின் கோரிக்கையை!”

மந்தரமலையில் எழுந்தருளினான் பரமசிவன்,
மந்தரத்திலேயே தங்கி விட்டன சிவகணங்கள்.

ரிபுஞ்ஜயன் முடி சூடினான் சக்கரவர்த்தியாக;
ரிபுஞ்சயன் மணந்தான் அனங்க மோகினியை.

அளித்தான் ஆதிசேஷன் அளவற்ற ஐஸ்வர்யம்;
அளித்தான் ரிபுஞ்ஜயன் உலகில் ஒரு நல்லாட்சி.

“கங்கையில் ஸ்நானம் செய்யமுடியவில்லை.
காசி விஸ்வநாதரைத் தரிசிக்க முடியவில்லை”

வருந்தினர் தேவர்கள் இவற்றை எண்ணி எண்ணி.
குரு பிரஹஸ்பதியிடம் கேட்டனர் நல்ல உபாயம்.

“நல்லாட்சி புரிகின்றான் சக்கரவர்த்தி ரிபுஞ்சயன்;
நம்மால் மீறமுடியாது நாமே அளித்த வரத்தினை.

குளறுபடிகள் செய்ய முடியும் அளித்த வரத்தில்
குறைபாடுகள் அவன் ஆட்சியில் தோன்றினால்!”

VINAAYAKA PURAANAM - 2

#44h. Mandara Giri

Mandara Giri did penance towards Lord Siva. He went to bless the Mandara Giri. The Sivaganaas as well as Brahma accompanied him. Sage Mareechi was also doing penance on that mountain.

Lord Siva blessed Mareechi with the boons he wished for! Mandara Giri made its wish known to Lord Siva, “I wish you would live here surrounded by the Deva just as you live in the city of Kasi’

Brahma used this opportunity to convey the condition laid by Ripunjayan’s to Siva. Brahma told Lord Siva, “Ripunjayan has agreed to rule over the world and in return all the Deva must leave Kasi. It is better that you accept the invitation of Mandara Giri.” Siva agreed and stayed on there. The Siva ganaas also stayed back there.

Ripunjayan became the chakravarti of the earth. He married Ananga Mohini. Aadhiseshan presented him with rich gifts and unlimited wealth. He ruled the earth well adhering to dharma.

Deva felt crestfallen since they could not have Ganga snaanam any more nor have dharshan of Kasi Viswanaathar. They went to their kulaguru Bruhaspati and asked him for an idea to break the boons given to Ripunjayan.

Bruhaspati told them, “Ripunjayan is ruling well and we can’t break the boons given to him now. If there is any confusion or adharma, then we can go back in our promise.”

5#28c. சிவதூதி (1)

தோன்றினார் சக்தியர் முன்பு ஈசன் சங்கரன்;
ஊன்றினார் சக்தியர் மனத்தில் இக்கருத்தை.

“அழியுங்கள் சும்ப, நிசும்பரை முற்றிலுமாக;
அளியுங்கள் அபயம் சாது ஜனங்களுக்கு.

செல்லட்டும் விவித சக்திகள் போருக்குப் பின்பு,
சேரட்டும் தமக்குரிய தெய்வங்களுடன் மீண்டும்.

நடக்கட்டும் யாக, யக்ஞங்கள் இனித் தடையின்றி;
கிடைக்கட்டும் அவிர் பாகங்கள் தேவர்களுக்கு.

சாந்தி நிலவட்டும் உலகங்கள் அனைத்திலும்;
ஓங்கி வளரட்டும் செழுமையும், பசுமையும்.”

வெளிப்பட்டது சிவசக்தியின் தேஜஸ் ஒன்று
களி கூர்ந்த சண்டிகையின் மேனியிலிருந்து.

கூறியது சக்தி நாதனிடம் சிவசக்தியின் ஒளி,
“கோருகின்றேன் ஓர் உதவி உம்மிடமிருந்து.

பேருக்குச் செல்லுங்கள் எங்கள் தூதுவராக,
போருக்கு வரச் சொல்லுங்கள் சும்பாசுரனை.”

சென்றார் சூல பாணியாக சிவபிரான் – காமத்
துன்பத்தால் துயரிற்றிருந்த சும்பாசுரனிடம்.

“சென்று விடுங்கள் பாதாளத்துக்கு அசுரர்கள்;
தந்து விடுங்கள் சுவர்க்கத்தைத் தேவர்களுக்கு;

அமரட்டும் அமரேந்திரன் தன் அரியணையில்;
அமையட்டும் தேவர்களுக்குச் சுவர்க்க வாழ்வு.

செல்லுங்கள் பாதாளம் உயிர் வாழ நினைத்தால்;
செல்லுங்கள் போருக்குப் புகழ்பெற நினைத்தால்!

திரிபுர தஹனம் செய்தவன் வந்தேன் தூதனாக!
திருப்தி அடைவர் தேவியர் உங்களைப் புசித்து!”

5#28c. Sivadoothi

Siva appeared in front of the various Devis and told them, “Destroy the wicked Sumban and Nisumban. Save the saints and sanths from them. Let these vivida shaktis return to their respective gods after this war.

Let the yaagaas and yagnaas continue unhindered. Let the Devaas and Gods get their share of havisu regularly. Let peace prevail in all the three worlds. Let prosperity and richness fill the earth”

A jyoti emerged from the body of the now pleased ChaNdiga Devi as the light of Siva Shakti. It made a request to Lord Siva.

“Please go to Sumbaasuran as our messenger. Tell him to go to Paataalam or come to fight with us. ” Siva went to Sumbaasuran carrying his trident to convey their message.

“Go back to Paataalam where you belong to. Return the heaven to the Devaas. Let Indra sit on his throne one more time. Let the Devaa regain their life in heaven.

If you wish to live go back to Paataalam. If you want to win fame and a name go to fight with the Devis. I am the Tripura Anthakan Sivan. I have come here to convey this message to you.

The Devis will be only too pleased to devour you after killing you in the battle field.”

8c. காளியின் போர்.

காளி போருக்கு வந்தாள் உடனேயே,
கூளிக் கூட்டங்கள் பல புடை சூழ.

வாளும், சூலமும் ஏந்தி இருந்தாள்;
கூளிக் கொடிகள் விண்ணை முட்டின.

சங்குகள், வாத்தியங்கள் முழங்கின.
சிங்கத்தின் மேல் அமர்ந்திருந்தாள்.

அக்கினி முகனுக்கு ஆறுதல் கூறி
அவனியோர் நடுங்க ஒலி செய்தாள்.

முத்தலைச் சூலத்தைப் பணித்தாள் காளி,
“முன் நிற்கும் பூதர்களை அழித்து வா!”

தீயைப் புகையைக் காளிக் கூட்டத்தைத்
தோற்றுவித்தது முத்தலைச் சூலம்.

பதிமூன்று கணைகள் செலுத்தி அதைப்
பல துண்டங்கள் ஆக்கினார் வீரவாகு.

வீரவாகுவின் ஆற்றல் சீற்றம் தந்தது.
வீரவாகுவைக் கொல்ல விரும்பினாள்.

வீசினாள் இன்னொரு சூலத்தை அவர் மீது!
விழுந்தது சூலம் ஆயிரம் கணைகள் பட்டு.

வாளை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு தன்மீது பாய்ந்த
காளியை மார்பில் அறைந்தார் வீரவாகு.

மயங்கி விழுந்தாள் காளி மண்ணில்!
மார்பு கிழிந்து உதிரம் பெருகியது.

ஆணவம் முற்றிலும் அடங்கினாள் காளி!
ஆணுக்கு நிகராகப் பெண் போரிடலாமா?

4 # 8 c. War with Kaali.

KaaLi appeared there immediately. She was surrounded by the gangs of KooLi. She carried a sword and a trisoolam. She was seated on a lion.

The flags her army carried touched the sky. Conches and other instruments were played. She consoled Agnimukhan and then let out a terrifying terrible scream.

Kaali ordered her trisoolam,” Go forth and kill all the demons in that army!” The trisoolam started producing fire, poisonous fumes and gangs of more and more KaaLi.

Veerabaahu shot 13 arrows and shattered the trisoolam to pieces. Kaali became wilder after watching the valor of Veerabaahu.

She wanted to kill him. She threw another trisoolam at him. It was also shattered by one thousand arrows!

She jumped on Veerabaahu with the sword in her hand. Veerabahu held her hands together and hit her on her chest.

She fell faint and started bleeding heavily from the torn breasts. Her pride, courage and ego vanished. How can a woman fight with a strong nava sakti kumara and win over him?

14i. தவ வலிமை

அக்னி தேவனுக்கு ஆணையிட்டான் இந்திரன்,
“இனி நுழைக்கக்கூடாது காசி நகரில் நீ!” என்று.

“அக்னி இன்றி யாகம் ஏது? யக்ஞம் எது?” என
முனிவர் தவித்தனர், பணிகளில் தடங்கலால்!

தேவர்களின் சூழ்ச்சியை அறிந்தான் ரிபுஞ்சயன்,
“தேவையில்லை வீண் அச்சம் முனிபுங்கவர்களே!

அக்னியாகவும், சூரியனாகவும், தேவர்களாகவும்
அத்தனை காரியத்தையும் செய்கிறேன் நானே! ”

தவ வலிமையால் தகர்த்தான் சூழ்ச்சிகளை.
தவித்தனர் தேவர்கள் காசிக்குச் செல்வதற்கு.

எண்பதாயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் கழிந்தன இவ்வாறு.
தன்பதிக்குத் திரும்ப விரும்பினர் சிவபிரான்.

வரங்களை உடைக்கவேண்டும் எனில் முதலில்
வர வேண்டும் நாட்டில் பலவிதக் குழப்பங்கள்!

தேவர்கள் முயன்றனர் குழப்பம் விளைவிக்க;

யோகிகளை உண்டாக்கி அனுப்பினார் சிவன்;
யோகிகளும் தோற்றனர் தங்கள் முயற்சியில்.

விநாயகரால் முடியாதது இல்லை எனப் பிரான்
விநாயகரிடம் தெரிவித்தார் உள்ளக் கருத்தை.

VINAAYAKA PURAANAM -2

#44i. The power of penance

Indra ordered to Agni,”Do not enter the city of Kasi!” The sages got worried since they could not perform yaagaa or yagnaas without agni.

Ripunjayan understood the trick played by the Deva and came forward to play the part of Agni, Sooryan and all the other Deva so that the yaagaa and yagna could undisturbed, as before.

He had earned so much power through his penance and adherence to dharma that this could go on for eighty thousand long years!

The Deva were desperate to get back to Kasi. Siva himself wanted to return to Kasi. They wanted to break the boons given to Ripunjayan. For doing that, first they had to create confusion in Kasi.

The Deva went to Kasi and tried to create confusion and failed badly. Siva created Yogis and sent them to create confusion in Kasi. They too failed in their mission miserably.

Now it was clear that only Vinayaka – for whom nothing was impossible – could create confusion in Kasi. Siva told Vinayaka his plans and ideas.

கூறினார் சிவபெருமான் தூது மொழிகளை;
மறைந்து அருளினார் அதைக் கூறிய பின்னர்.

சிவனையே தன் தூதுவனாக அனுப்பியதால்
சிவதூதி என்ற அழகிய பட்டபெயர் தேவிக்கு.

புறப்பட்டனர் போருக்கு சும்ப நிசும்பர்கள்;
சிறந்த ஆயுதங்களுடன் கவசங்கள் அணிந்து.

சரமழை பொழிந்தனர் விற்களில் இருந்து;
விரைந்து தின்றாள் காளி அசுரரைக் கொன்று.

பிரம்மாணி அழித்தாள் மயங்கிய அசுரரை
பிரம்ம கமண்டலத்திலிருந்த நீர் தெளித்து.

மாஹேஸ்வரி அழித்தாள் அசுர வீரர்களை
மகேஸ்வரன் சூலத்தால் குத்தியும், தாக்கியும்.

வைஷ்ணவி அழித்தாள் அசுர வீரர்களை
விஷ்ணுச் சக்கரம், கதையைப் பயன்படுத்தி.

ஐந்த்ரி கொன்று குவித்தாள் அசுர வீரரை
இந்திரனின் வஜ்ஜிராயுதத்தை உபயோகித்து.

வாராஹி அழித்தாள் அசுரர் கூட்டத்தைத் தன்
கூரிய மூக்கு, கோரைப் பற்களினால் தாக்கி.

நாரசிம்மி தின்றாள் அசுர வீரர்களை
நரசிம்மம் போலவே வயிற்றைக் கிழித்து.

சிவதூதி கொன்றாள் அசுர வீரர்களைத் தன்
செவிகளைப் பிளக்கும் வீர முழக்கத்தினால்.

தின்றனர் சாமுண்டியும், காளியும் – களத்தில்
கொன்று குவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த அசுர உடல்களை.

கௌமாரி கொன்றாள் தன் சக்தி ஆயுதத்தால்;
வாருணி கொன்றாள் தன் பாசக் கயிற்றினால்.

வதைத்தனர் சக்திகள் அசுர வீரர்களைப் போரில்;
பிழைத்தனர் சிலர் புறமுதுகிட்டு ஓடி விட்டதால்.

செய்தனர் வெற்றி முழக்கம் விவித சக்தியினர்.
பொழிந்தனர் மலர் மாரி வானிலிருந்து வானவர்.

கொண்டான் கடும் சினம் ரக்தபீஜ அசுரன்;
உண்டானது கடும் போர் மீண்டும் அங்கே.

5#28d. Siva doothi (2)
Siva conveyed the message sent by Devi and disappeared from there. Devi got a new title as Siva Doothi since she had sent Lord Siva himself as her messenger.

Sumban and Nisumban left to fight with the Devis. They donned their armors and carried their powerful weapons along with them. Sumban and Nisumban shot arrows like rain clouds raining water.

Kaali killed and gobbled up the asura warriors.
BrahmmaNi killed the asura warriors by sprinkling the jalam from her Brahma kamandalam. Maaheswari killed the asura warriors using the soolaayudam of Maheswaran. VaishNavi killed the asura warriors using the mace and discus of Vishnu.

Aindri killed the asura warriors with her vajraayudam. Vaaraahi killed the enemy warriors using her powerful snout and teeth. Naarasimhi ate up the asuras the same way as Narasimha did by tearing open their bodies.

Sivadoothi made a deafening noise and killed many asuraas by giving them a rude shock.Chaamundi and Kaali ate up the bodies of the dead asuraas. Koumaari killed by usng her spear and VaaruNi by using her paasAm.

Those who ran away from the field survived. The Devis made a cry of victory. The Devaas rained flowers. Raktha Beejan became very angry and a fresh war began.

KANDA PURAANAM - PORPURI KAANDAM

8d. அக்கினிமுகன்

“அறிவில்லாமல் வந்தேன் போர் செய்ய!”
ஆற்றல் அழிந்தவள் எழுந்தாள் மெல்ல.

“உமக்கு நான் ஈடு இல்லை உணர்ந்தேன்.
நமது இடத்தில இருப்பதே நன்மை தரும்.

என்னைச் செல்ல அனுமதியுங்கள்.
பின்னர் அழியுங்கள் அவுணர்களை!

முருகனின் திருவருள் பெற்றுப் பல
வருடங்கள் இனிது வாழ்வீர் நீங்கள்.”

விடை பெறும் காளி பணிந்து நின்றாள்.
விரைந்து திரும்பினாள் தன் இருப்பிடம்.

காளியைக் கண்டு அவுணன் சினந்தான்,
“காளியின் துணை தேவை இல்லை இனி!

அழைத்தேன் அவள் ஆற்றலைக் காண!
பிழைத்தால் போதும் என ஓடுகின்றாள்.”

நான்முகப் படையை எய்தான் அவுணன்;
வீரபத்திரப் படையை எய்தார் வீரவாகு.

நடுங்கி ஒடுங்கியது நான்முகப் படை.
விடுத்த வீரபத்திரப்படை முன் சென்றது!

அவுணனின் உயிரைக் கவர்ந்து மீண்டது!
அக்கினி முகன் நிலத்தில் வீழ்ந்தான்.

4 # 8d. The fall of Agni Mukhan.

“It was foolishness to have come here to this war!” Kali spoke to herself. She got up slowly and spoke to Veerabaahu,

“I realized that I am no match for you! It is always safer to stay in one’s own place. Please let me go back. You can kill the asuras after I go. May you live long by the grace of Murugan!” She went back to her place.

Agnimukhan became very angry watching Kali’s behavior. “I do not need her help any more! I just wanted to watch her fight. She is running away to save her skin!”

The war was resumed there. Agnimukhan shot the Brahmaasthram. Veerabaahu shot the Veerabadra asthram.

Brahma asthram got frightened and made way for the Veerabadra ashtram which went on and killed Agnimukhan.

14j. அனாசாரம்

சிறுவனாக உருவெடுத்தார் விநாயகர்.
சிரமம் இன்றி நுழைந்தார் காசி நகரில்.

பயங்கரக் கனவுகளைத் தோற்றுவித்தார்;
பரிஹாரம் கூறி வென்றார் நம்பிக்கையை.

“காசிக்கு நெருங்குகிறது ஆபத்து!” என்றார்.
“கனவுகள் தோன்றிடக் காரணம் அதுவே!”

பேசியது கேட்டு வெளியேறிவிட்டனர் பலர்
போகாதவர்கள் வாழ்ந்தனர் திகிலில் மூழ்கி!

வந்தன தடங்கல்கள் தினசரி வேலைகளில்.
எந்தக் காரியமும் நிகழவில்லை சரியாக.

மன்னன் இருந்தான் குழம்பிய மனத்துடன்,
மன்னனைத் தேற்றினாள் மகிஷி லீலாவதி!

“ஜோசியன் ஒருவன் வந்துள்ளானாம் இங்கு,
பேசுகின்றான் மூன்று காலங்களையும் பற்றி!”

அழைத்து வந்தனர் விநாயக ஜோசியரை;
அளித்தனர் ஆசனம்; செய்தனர் உபச்சாரம்;

“குழப்பம் இன்றி நடந்த என் ஆட்சியில்
குழப்பம் விளைகிறது இப்போது நாட்டில்.

ஆபத்து நேருமா? என் ஆட்சி முடியுமா?
தாபத்தை நீக்கி உண்மையை கூறுங்கள்!”

“பதில் தருவான் இந்தக் கேள்விக்கு இங்கு
பதினேழாம் நாள் வந்து சேரும் அந்தணன்!”

மகா தேவன் அனுப்பினர் காசி மாநகருக்கு
மகாவிஷ்ணுவையும், மஹாலக்ஷ்மியையும்.

அநாசாரத்தைப் பெருக்கச் சொன்னான் சிவன்
அலாதி முயற்சி செய்தனர் இருவரும் சேர்ந்து.

யாகத்தைப் பழித்தார் விஷ்ணு ஆண்களிடம்;
போகத்தை வளர்த்தாள் லக்ஷ்மி பெண்களிடம்.

கற்புத் தன்மை குறையச் செய்தாள் - மேலும்
மற்ற ஆண்களிடம் சுகம் தேடச் சொன்னாள்!
