1#6a. Madhu and Kaitaban (1)
Water swelled up in the oceans. The world got submerged in the flood water. Lord Naaraayan was sleeping on the ocean water. From his ears emerged two mighty asuras called Madhu and Kaitaban.
They grew up together like twin brothers. They played in the seawater all the time. One fine day they started thinking about their existence. ‘Nothing can exist without a support. The sea water supported us. But what supported the sea water?
Who had created the sea? Who created us in this sea? We must find out the creator our father. Only Shakti can give a support. So everything happens only because of the presence of Shakthi. So Shakti Devi must be our creator.’
They were discussing about Shakti Devi. Just then the Vaak Bheeja mantra echoed in the sky. A streak of lightning followed it. Madhu and Kaitaban wondered about the sound and the lightning. They realized that there were not merely the usual occurrences. These had a special significance and a meaning.
The asura sat in samaadhi reciting the Vaak Bheeja Mantra for one thousand years without disturbance.
