Brahmins caused DMK defeat, says Karuna

Dear all It is customary for M.K. to point to Rama. brahmins. aryans etall whenever he is in trouble or faces defeat.Afterall brahmins are 3% scattered over entire TN & cannot cause such a debacle. In fact DMK has been routed even in places where we hv no count at all.It is his wrong notion tht large scale frauds will always be tolerated & voters are fools to be carried away ever by his oratory.More than rajas it was his family that caused his downfall. But it is too late to repent which in any case he will not do.But he is still strong ti face this because he utters rama nama more often than us & he knows that too! Semmozhi & Kanimozhi both nowhere!

Hello Raman:

Please read my post #70 in this Thread, as my response.

Thanks.

Maaran is a marriage of Media and Brahmin. MK Iyer is now refining and has clearly blamed media for Maaran

பாவம் ஒரு இடம் பழி ஒரு இடம்

MK has gone mostly insane. Best to laugh at his twilight years and bid goodbye. Stalin can never bring DMK back to power. He has no charisma, no tamil talent, no achievements. DMK must look for someone outside their family to redeem some status. JJ might win parliament elections next year and that would mostly seal MK and his family's fate. JJ's problem will be from Vijayakanth in future.

I have absolutely the same opinion... Right before the electioin/election results..

The recent meeting of the Union Finance Minister with Kalaigner at the latter's residence, and the minister's assurance that the DMK-Congress alliance will not only continue but also be strengthened should act as a soothing balm for the battered octogenarian DMK leader.

As you rightly said, given the present state of the central government stinking from one scam to another, inability to control inflation, ineffective governance, infighting within the council of ministers, all round disillusionment with the performance of the government,Jayalalithaa's political fortune at the national level is very bright.Whatever front she forms will have a good chance to run the government at the center.

People in power throughout the world do something for their personal gains thinking that others may not be aware. There is no one in the world of politics who have remained honest.
This is what exactly happened to the DMK Government. The people at the top level (who they call as the leader of the party) have used the full powers to secure and amass wealth for the family and close relatives that will take them without any problems for the next three generations. The government was notorious not only in corruption and bribery at the highest level, but also making a fool of the public in the entertainment field.
These were the people who at one time made a mess of the state by adopting anti-hindi agitations. When they were brought to power, during their regime, they were encouraging hindi and acting like pro-hindi people, so that plum minestrial posts could be bargained at the Central level.
People have realised that they are not getting any benefit and have voted against them.
Everything will come to an end sooner or later.
This is what exactly happened.

After all is said and done, TN will always have EVR/CN Annadurai's followers of Tamil Nationalism and Dravidian Ideology at the helm, whether it's Stalin or J Jaya or Vijayakanth.

J Jaya's current triumph at the polls was quite unexpected - I mean the complete sweep... that happened for reasons beyond the control of current politicians

1. Widespread inflation of food and gas: This is happening in all BRIC countries.. this can be curbed only by controlling the money supply, which will destroy the growth... Dr. MMS is the world authority on this issue... he prefers growth over inflation... J Jaya just can't solve this problem.

2. Widespread problems of power and water: This is a matter of massive capital investment and planning which neither Karuna nor J Jaya knew how to achieve.

Of course, abuse and misuse of power has been a perennial problem with Karuna and J Jay for the past at least 30 years. Nothing has changed on the front in the last 5 years.

In TN politics anything can happen.. today's CM can be unseated in the next Election very easily, even sooner.

My point is unless the TBs organize themselves as a voting bloc and become a political force, their situation will not improve one bit.

Peace.

As for the voting public is concerned, it is only the prices of the commodities, easy availability of food grains, gas, water matters. When they have suffered a lot on all these counts under one government, they will naturally look for alternative at the earliest opportunity. They will not bother to see how the other government would tackle these issues.

Just as we are not sure as to what we have to do with the Padmanabhaswamy temple treasure- JJ is without any idea as to what she has to do with her majority and easy opposition! Though she proclaimed concentrating on developmental schemes, the media report indicates that she is being forced to do witch hunting to put any developmental scheme on the anvil. The 200 odd MLAs of JJ can not match the more then 3 lakh appointees of MK Iyer in various positions of power. She is without any clue as to how she will handle the openly challenging Governor and subtly challenging High Court. May be because she is without a purpose (like family that MK Iyer had) for building wealth... she is without the right tactic and it is only a matter of time that she will fall prey in limiting herself to releasing counter to MK Iyer as press statements.

The schools are running without books and colleges have started this year without teachers! When MK Iyer's team appointed just 1000 teachers for the 7000 required in good Assistant Professor's scale, JJ is beginning her innings as a one woman team to appoint 6000 Guest Lecturers at a paltry of Rs6000/- as remuneration. When MK Iyer can still rely on the 1000 of his appointees, JJ will end earning the wrath of not only the 6000 that she will be appointing but also the 60000 more prospects who are waiting for a right teaching career. MK Iyer is a tactical fascist and so he is secure even without power. JJ is a stupid populist who can do nothing good even when in power. Is it not the Brahmin in her helping MK Iyer to establish themselves again before the next election. The local body elections may show some trend reversal but JJ will be decimated before the next election for her inaction.

Vijayakanth will see the fate of the TMC that chose to sit in opposition! People will sure know that he is also the reason for the inaction of the government.

The fact that JJ and Vijayakanth goes undefended for hours together is a proof that they do not enjoy public support. They got elected for there was no other alternative

Very well said, Harini.

It seems that JJ has said in one of her review meeting that Jaya TVs viewership for good education related program that they broadcast has doubled. I think that she is foolishly trying to prove that the entire curriculum can be delivered through the TV channel. She may be doing this to save the exchequer from being wasted to pay salary to the teachers!

Recently I came across an interesting twist for the defeat of DMK in the Elections. It is the Free distribution of TV sets to the poor! These TVs exposed the misrule of DMK family in the news channels of all languages, which eventually caused change of mind of the electorate in Tamil Nadu. This may not be a fact but gives a new angle to ponder.

Brahmanyan,

What the grinder will have to say for the voters

"அம்மா அரைச்ச மாவையே அரைக்கிராங்க"

JJ is facing tough time with Governor and Judiciary. Is she thinking that if kids of Kashmir can forgo education in their fight against terrorism then why not the children here do the same to fight corruption?

How else will JJ make us understand that MK Iyer did not bothered an iota about manufacturers in Tamilnadu for his free TV scheme? What was the forums like CII (TN) and Chamber of commerce doing then? JJ should exhibit tough stand to expose stupidity of the people as well to fall for the 'free' scheme of both DMK and AIADMK

Hello All:

I learn that India's Supreme Court has rejected TN CM J Jaya's attempt to kill "Samacheer Kalivi and the Books" (printed already at a cost of 200 Crore Rupees by DMK regime).

Is this not a big set back for the Hon'able CM in the first three months of coming to Power? She has already earned the wrath of the voters!

Write about it, please.

Cheers.

Dear Sri "Yamaka",

There is no set back or success in Politics. It is a judicial verdict, that can be appealed or accepted. In this regard Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is better placed than her counterpart in Karnataka who is facing problems of all kinds every day from the Governor, a Political appointee, a Lokayukta, who is more visible in News media than the Politicians and opposition leaders who want to capture power, which they could not succeed in democratic process of elections, by other means.

Ultimate sufferer is the common man who has to face non governance.

Brahmanyan,

Sir:

MK and his men are past masters in corruption. Behind this free distribution
the story is something diferent. Invoices for TV sets are there , but no
physical delivery of TV sets.
Second is kickback.
Third is the business for cable TV which is his and ad. income.

Even the educated people have not understood his game plan. With more
TV sets among the illiterates, he can continue telling lies to the voters.

About Brahmin votes ? Please find out the percentage of Brahmin votes,
it is insignificant.

What about booth-capturing, preventing the voters by threatening them ?
What about PC's election ? It is reliably learnt that he conceded the defeat
and walked away, but the final result is otherwise !

the behaviour of the supreme court of late, has given me a sick feeling, that this too politicized.

ie thanking the masters in the justice ministry and pmo office for their appointmentss.

how else can you explain, that ever so many dictats are though high sounding, directed against enemies of the congress .. or potential enemies.

the incarceration of kanimozhi and raja, is unprecedented - looks like pota rules reapplied. they have been kept inside for months, without any case filed against them. we do those things to the terrorists, and not to corrupt folks. i think half or even more of manmohan's cabinet will qualify for such jail terms without trial.

the samacheer kalvi, i do not much, but again, jaya is getting rid of this for political purpose. she could keep it for a year, and adapt it the next year syllabus for higher standards - if that is the main gripe of folks who will miss their matriculation of anglo indian certificates.

Dear K:

I fully agree with you on Kani and Raja & Co.

CBI or police can arrest anybody under probable cause; but after 4 weeks of "judicial/police custody" they all must be released on bail bonds unless there is clear evidence of flight risk.

I don't know why the Supreme Court is denying bail for these people... they do under the cover of "protecting the witnesses", which they can do by so many other ways. They know it.

Hon'able CM Jaya unnecessarily made this "Samacheer Kalvi" as a hot political issue and nearly about 12 million school children and their parents are suffering in the past 45 days without any books and proper teaching.

Yes, she could have tackled this issue next year or the following year... taking this on in the very first week of Election is a very stupid idea, IMO,

Cheers.

One has to appreciate the Multiple thinking of MK.For the same matter he will find different. On this election defeat these are some of his findings.
1)Media sathi.
2)People have decided to give me rest.
3)Election commission wanted JJ to win and did unconstitutional acts.
4)Congress sathi.
etc,etc
