Soorapadman sent his army to the cities, and other places to maintain his rule.
To the eight cities placed at the eight directions of his Veera mahendra puram, he sent the army chiefs with the faces of an elephant, a horse, a yali, a bear, a tiger, a boar, a lion and a wild cow.
Durgunan, Dharmagopan, Durmukhan, Sankhabaalan, Vakrabalan, and Mahishan were his ministers.
