பட்டத்துயானை புதுஅரசனாக மாலை சூட்டி;
பல்லி நகர அரசன் வல்லவராஜனின் மகன்

தக்கனைத் தேர்வு செய்த செய்தி பரவியது
தீக்காற்றுப் போல திசை எங்கும் உடனேயே!

நல்வினைப் பயனைக் கேட்டறிந்த அரசன்
வல்லவராஜன் விரைந்தான் மகனைக் காண!

தக்கனும் எதிர் சென்றான் தாய் கமலையுடன்;
தக்க மரியாதைகள் அளித்து வரவேற்றான்.

விநாயகர் மேலும் கருணை பொழிந்தார்.
வீரசேன அரசன் கனவில் தோன்றினார்.

"கௌண்டின்யபுர மன்னன் தக்கனுக்கு
குமாரியை மணம் புரிந்து தருவாய்!" என;

கனவைக் கூறினான் மதி மந்திரிகளிடம்,
காலை எழுந்தவுடன் அரசன் வீரசேனன்.

தக்கனைப் பற்றி அறிந்து இருந்த அவர்களும்
"தக்க மணமகன் தக்கனே!" என்று கூறினர்.

சென்றான் வீரசேனன் கௌண்டின்யபுரம்;
செப்பினான் கனவை பெற்றோர்களுக்கு!

வல்லவராஜனும், கமலையும் மகிழ்ந்திட
நல்ல நாளில் நடந்தது அந்தத் திருமணம்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன் விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

#11 d. The Gift of Kingdom

The news that the royal elephant of Koundinya puram, had selected as the new king Dakshan - the son of Vallava rajan of Palli - spread like wildfire. Vallava rajan was very happy to learn about the good fortune of his son and wanted to meet him immediately. He went to Koundinya puram

Dakshan along with his mother Kamala, received him with due honors . Vinayaka wanted to shower more grace on Dakshan. He appeared in the dream of king Veerasenan and told him to get his daughter married to Dakshan.

King Veerasenan told of his dreams to his ministers the next day morning. Everyone had heard about Dakshan and they all agreed that Dakshan as the right groom for the king's daughter.

King Veerasenen went to Koundinya puram, met Dakshan's parents and got their consent. The wedding between Dakshan and the daughter of Veerasenan was duly performed on an auspicious day.

#11e. வம்ச விருத்தி!

பிரகத்பானு பிறந்தான் தக்கன் மகனாக;
பிரகத்பானுவுக்குப் பிறந்தான் கட்கதரன்;

கபாலன் பிறந்தான் அந்தக் கட்கதரனுக்கு;
கபாலனுக்கு வந்து பிறந்தான் யதாகரன்;

வபுத்திரன் வந்து பிறந்தான் யதகரனுக்கு;
வபுத்திரனுக்குப் பிறந்தான் சித்திரசேனன்;

வீமன் வந்து பிறந்தான் சித்திரசேனனுக்கு;
வீமனுக்கு உரைத்தார் முனிவர் இவற்றை.

ஏகாக்ஷரம் உபதேசித்தார் விஸ்வாமித்திரர்;
"ஏக மனத்தோடு ஜபித்து நலம் பெறுவாய்!

அனுதினம் அன்போடு பூஜித்து வந்தால்
அனுக்ரஹத்தால் உருவாகும் வாரிசு!"

மன்னன் திரும்பும் நல்ல செய்தி கேட்டு,
மந்திரிகள் சென்று எதிர்கொண்டழைக்க;

நன்னாளில் சென்றான் வீமராஜன் தன்
முன்னோர்கள் நிர்மாணித்த ஆலயத்திற்கு.

அபிஷேக ஆராதனைகள் நிகழ்த்தினான்.
ஜபிக்கத் தொடங்கினான் எகாக்ஷரத்தை.

அன்பனுக்கு அன்பனான ஆனைமுகன்
கண்முன் தோன்றியருளினார் அவனுக்கு

"வம்சம் விளங்க மகன் வேண்டும் ஐயனே!"
வம்சம் விளங்க அம்சமான மகன் ஒருவன்

உரிய காலத்தில் வந்து தோன்றினான்
அரசி சாருஹாசினியின் மணி வயிற்றில்.

#11e. The family tree.

Dakshan was blessed with a son named Bruhathbhaanu.

Bruhathbhaanu was blessed with a son named Kadgadharan.

Kadgadharn was blessed with a son called Kapaalan;

Kapaalan was blessed with a son called Yadaakaran.

Yadaakaran was blessed with a son Vaputhran

Vaputhran was blessed with a son Chitrasenan.

Chitrasenan was blessed with King Beeman as his son.

Viswamithra traced the family tree to king Beeman.

He then taught king Beeman Ekaakaksharam.

"If you worship lord Ganesa with undivided attention, he will surely bless you!"

The king and Queen decided to return to their kingdom

The two ministers who were taking care of the kingdom were very happy to receive them back.

The king went to the Ganesa temple established by his ancestors. He performed abhishekha aaraadanaas.

He started chanting ekaaksharam with devotion. Vinayaka was very pleased and appeared in front of the king.

The king wished for worthy son. In due course of time the queen Chaaruhaasini delivered a beautiful and strong baby boy who was named as Rukmaangathan.

#12a . ருக்மாங்கதன்

கணபதியின் அருளால் தோன்றினான் ஒரு
குணவான் ஆகிய நல்ல மகன் வீமனுக்கு.

தக்க வயது அடைந்த ருக்மாங்கதனைக்
கற்க அழைத்துச் சென்றனர் கபிலரிடம்.

அன்போடு ஆசிரமத்தில் வைத்து கபிலர்
அனைத்து வித்தைகளையும் போதித்தார்.

வித்தியாப்பியாசம் முடிந்த பின்னர் அவர்
விநாயக ஏகாக்ஷரத்தையும் போதித்தார்.

கணபதியிடம் அளவற்ற பக்தி கொண்டு
குணவானாகத் திகழ்ந்தான் ருக்மாங்கதன்.

இளவரசனுக்குப் பட்டம் சூட்டி, வீமராஜன்
இலகுவான வாழ்க்கை வாழ விழைந்தான்.

நல்ல நாளில் நல்ல நேரத்தில் நடந்தது
நல்லவர்கள் மத்தியில் முடிசூட்டு விழா.

தந்தையையும் மிஞ்சி விட்டான் தனயன்!
எண்திசையும் பரவியது அவன் நற்பெயர்!

காட்டு விலங்குகள் தொல்லைகள் தந்தன
நாட்டு மக்களுக்குப் பலப்பல விதங்களில்.

கஷ்டம் தரும் துஷ்ட விலங்குகளைக் கொல்ல
இஷ்டத்துடன் சென்றான் அரசன் வேட்டைக்கு.

அமைச்சர்கள், வீரர்கள் அரசனுடன் சென்றிட
அமளி துமளிப் பட்டது வன வனாந்தரங்கள்!

உற்சாகம் அதிகரித்து விட்டது அரசனுக்கு;
ஊக்கத்துடன் கொன்றான் விலங்குகளை.

தன்னுடைய வீரர்களிடமிருந்து பிரிந்து
தனியாள் ஆகிவிட்டான் ருக்மாங்கதன்.

உச்சி வெய்யில் சுட்டு எரித்தது - அரசனின்
உடல் தளர்ந்தது அதிக நீர் வேட்கையால்.

#12a. Rukmaangathan.

Beema Raajan was soon blessed with a worthy son, by the grace of Vinayaka. The prince was named as Rukmaangathan. He was taken to the sage Kapila's aashram when he was ready for education and training.

Kapila taught him everything needed by a king and also the Ekaaksharam in addition. Rukmaangathan was a devotee of Ganapathy and was an extraordinarily good-natured prince.

Beema Raajan became old. He wished to crown his son as the new king and retire from his kingly duties. An auspicious muhoortham was fixed and Rukmaangathan became the new king. He ruled well and wisely. Soon he became even more famous than his dear father Beema Raajan.

The wild animals started troubling the citizens. They had to killed or chased away. King left with his ministers and soldiers. They all went on a hunting spree.

The king became very enthusiastic and went chasing the animals all by himself. Soon he got separated from the rest of the group.

The mid day sun was scorching and the king Rukmaangathan felt very week and tired due to intense thirst for water.

#12b. ருக்மாங்கதன்

முனிவரின் ஆசிரமம் தென்பட்டது அங்கு,
இனிய ஆசிரமம் முனிவர் கவியுடையது.

முனிவர் சென்றிருந்தார் சீடருடன் வெளியே
தனித்து இருந்தாள் முனிபத்தினி முகுந்தை.

உல்லாசமாக நந்தவனத்தில் இருந்தவளை
மெல்ல அணுகினான் ருக்மாங்கத அரசன்.

"தாயே! வீமராஜனின் புதல்வன் நான்;
தாகத்துக்கு தரவேண்டும் நல்ல குடிநீர்.

துஷ்ட மிருகங்களை வேட்டையாடினேன்!
கஷ்டம் தருகின்றன தாகமும், களைப்பும்."

அத்தனை அழகான மனிதனை முகுந்தை
அதுவரை கண்டதில்லை வாழ்க்கையில்.

முனிவர் என்றாலே தாடியும், மீசையும்.
முனிவர் என்றாலே நகமும் மரவுரியும்.

நாணத்தைத் துறந்தாள் கமவயப்பட்டு!
தாபத்தைச் சொன்னாள் ஆணழகனிடம்.

ஆடைகள் நெகிழ, ஆசைத் தீ பெருக,
ஆடவர் மயங்க நின்றாள் முகுந்தை.

கண்களை மூடிக் கொண்டு கூறினான்,
"பெண்களில் உயர்ந்த நீங்கள் என் தாய்!

சோதிக்க வேண்டாம் தாயே என்னை!
பாதிப்பு அழித்துவிடும் இருவரையும்.

முனிவரின் மனைவியான தாங்கள் என்
இனிய தாயினும் மேலானவர் அம்மா!"

"என்னை ஒருமுறை ஏறிட்டுப் பார் நீ!
உன்னை சுகித்தாலன்றித் தீராது தாபம்!

சோதனை செய்யாதே மேலும் மேலும்,
வேதனை தாங்காது என் விரஹதாபம்"

#12 b. Rukmaangathan

Rukmaangathan saw an ashram nearby. It belonged to Sage Kavi. He had gone out with his disciples. His wife Mukundai was all alone in the flower laden garden, in a merry mood.

The king approached her with great respect and introduced himself as the son of King Beema Raajan. He requested for a drink of cool refreshing water.

Mukundai had never cast her eyes on such a handsome , impressive and strong man before. She felt lust burning inside her a bonfire. She invited him to enjoy her beauty and youth. She stood there with her dresses disheveled and
in a manner no man can resist.

The king covered his eyes and spoke to her, "You are a rushi patni. So you are like a mother to me. The thing you are suggesting will destroy both of us. Please come to your senses"

But Mukundai was determined to possess him at any cost. She told him,"Just look at me once and try to say "No!" to my invitation. My desire for you will never be satisfied unless we enjoy together."

#12c. ருக்மாங்கதன்

"உங்கள் நடத்தை வெகு விசித்திரம் தாயே!
உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாத சாஸ்த்திரங்களா?"

"பிற பெண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப் பார்க்காதே!
பிற பெண்களிடம் இச்சை கொள்ளாதே!

சாஸ்திரம் கூறுவது இவையே மன்னா!
சாஸ்திரம் பொருந்தாது நம் விஷயத்தில்.

இச்சை கொண்டது நான்! நீயல்லவே!
இன்பத்தை விழைவது நான்! நீயல்லவே!"

அருகில் நெருங்கினாள் அவள் அவனிடம்.
நெருப்புப் பட்டது போல விலகினான் அவன்.

"நான் மக்களுக்கு வழி காட்டும் அரசன்!
நான் கற்புகரசி ஒருத்தியின் கணவன்!"

"சயனவேளையில் சாஸ்திரம் பேசுவதா?
பயனற்ற வார்த்தைகள் எதற்கு மன்னா!"

அரசனை வலிந்து தழுவினாள் அவள்.
அரசன் அவளைப் பிடித்து உந்தினான்.

"மோகத்தால் அறிவிழந்து விட்டாய் நீ!
காமத்தால் கண் இழந்து விட்டாய் நீ!

முனி பத்தினி என்பதால் உயிர் தப்பினாய்
இனியும் செய்யதே இதுபோல் எவரிடமும்"

வேகமாக வெளியேறினான் ருக்மாங்கதன்.
கோபமாகச் சபித்தாள் அரசனை முகுந்தை,

"பெண்ணே விரும்பி அழைத்தும் கூடக்
கண் மூடிச் செல்லும் நீயும் ஓர் ஆடவனா?

கெடுத்தாய் கற்பை, என் ஆவலைத் தூண்டி!
கெடட்டும் உன் வடிவம் வெண்குஷ்டத்தால்!

பெண்களை மயக்கிடும் உன் சுந்தர ரூபம்
பெண்கள் வெறுக்கும்படி மாறி விடட்டும்."

#12c. Rukmaangathan

"Your behavior is very strange oh lady! Surely you know the saasthraas!" the king Rukmaangathan told the rushi patni Mukundai.

"Do not desire women other than your wife. Do not look at the women other than your wife! This is what saasthram tells us. But in our case saasthram does not hold good. It is I who has the desire, not you! It is I who seeks pleasure not you!

Mukundi came closer to the king. He jumped back as if he had touched a live coal.

"I am the king of a country. I should be a living example to my citizens. I am married to a virtuous woman already."

"Who wants to listen to these lectures instead of pure enjoyment? Stop talking about useless things!" Mukundai embraced him forcefully.

The king pushed her away and spoke in anger," you have lost your sense due to desire. You are blinded by your passion. You are still alive since you are a rushi patni. Never behave in this manner with anyone else in the future" The king left the place angrily.

Mukundai cursed him thus," Even when a beautiful woman begs you to take her, you leave the place closing your eyes. Are you a real man?

You have disturbed my peace of mind and made me lose my virtue. May your beautiful form be ruined by leucoderma. May your figure which disturbs the minds of women become hideous and unsightly"

#12d. ருக்மாங்கதன்

முகுந்தையின் சாபம் பற்றியது அவனை!
முகஅழகு மறைந்தது வெண்குஷ்டத்தால்!

"தர்ம சாஸ்திரங்கள் சொன்னது தவறா?
தர்ம சாஸ்திரப்படி நான் நடந்தது தவறா?

காமத்தால் நாணம் கெட்ட பெண் இட்ட
சாபத்தால் நான் தவிப்பது தருமமோ?

ஏகாக்ஷரத்தை மறந்ததில்லை நான்!
விகார ரூபத்துடன் வாழ்வது எங்கனம்?"

நாடு திரும்ப விரும்பவில்லை அரசன்;
காடு இடம் தந்தது ஒளிந்துகொள்வதற்கு!

அரசனைக் காணாமல் தேடிய வீரர்கள்
ஆதவன் மறைந்ததும் திரும்பினர் நாடு!

பொழுது புலர்ந்தது! மூழ்கித் தடாகத்தில்
தொழுதான் முழு முதற்கடவுளை அவன்.

ஏகாக்ஷரத்தை ஜபிக்கையில் கண்டான்
ஆகாயமார்க்கமாகச் செல்லும் நாரதரை.

"வீமராஜன் மகன் ருக்மாங்கதன் நான்.
வீணாகி விடும் போலிருக்கிறது வாழ்வு."

மனம் கனிந்த நாரதர் இறங்கினார் அருகே;
மனம் உருகிடக் கூறினான் தன் கதையை,

வலம் வந்து வணங்கிய பின் ருக்மாங்கதன்.
நலம் விரும்பும் நாரதர் திவ்ய திருஷ்டியில்

கண்டார் மன்னன் கூறியது மெய்யென்று!
விண்டார் சாபவிமோசன மார்க்கத்தை.

"கணபதி ஆலயம் உண்டு கந்தர்ப்ப நகரில்.
கணேச குண்டம் என்னும் தடாகமும் உண்டு.

தேவேந்திரன் அமைத்த கணேச மூர்த்தி அது.
தேவர்கள் வந்து தொழுதிடும் ஆலயம் அது.

தடாகத்தில் நீராடி ஐயனை நீ தொழுதால்
நொடியில் மறையும் உனது கொடிய நோய்."

# 12d. Rukmaangathan

The curse laid by Mukundai affected Rukmaangathan immediately. His port and presence disappeared and his face became unsightly due to leukoderma.

"Are the dharma saasthraas wrong? Did I act wrong by obeying the rules laid by then? Is it right that I should suffer thus - cursed by a woman who had lost her mind due to her lust? I never forgot the name of Sri Ganesa even once! How can I face my family and citizens with this face and figure?"

He did not want to return to his palace. The dense forest gave him ample hiding place. The soldiers searched for him everywhere and returned to their homes after the sun had set.

Early next morning Rukmaangathan took a dip in the pond and was worshiping lord Ganesa in his mind. He looked up and saw Dev rushi Narada traveling in the sky.

He said in a pathetic voice, "I am Beema Raajan's son. It appears as though my life will be wasted uselessly!"

Narada took pity on him and came down to him. Rukmaangathan paid obeisance to him and told his miserable tale. Narada knew it was true by his divya-drushti. He advised the king about the sapa-vimochanam.

"There is a Ganesa temple in the city on Kandharppam. There is a pond called Ganesa theertham in front of the temple. Take dip in the theertham and worship the moorthi there. You will surely get cured of this hideous disease. The temple was built by Indra himself. All the Devas visit the temple and worship Ganesa"

#13a. அகலிகை.

"இந்திரன் எதற்குப் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்தான்?
இந்திரன் எதற்குக் கணேச பூஜை செய்தான்?

விருத்தாந்தங்களைக் கூறுங்கள் விவரமாக!"
விருப்பத்துடன் வினவினான் ருக்மாங்கதன்.

"இந்திரலோகம் சென்றேன் நான் ஓருமுறை.
இந்திரசபையில் ஒரு அற்புத நடன விருந்து!

இந்திரன் வரவேற்று அளித்தான் ஆசனம்.
இந்திரன் கேட்டான்,"நீர் கண்ட விந்தை?"

"சென்றேன் கௌதம முனியின் ஆசிரமம்
கண்டேன் பேரழகி அகலிகையை அங்கே!"

"தேவமாதர்களை விட அவள் அழகியா?"
தேவேந்திரன் கேட்டான் மீண்டும், மீண்டும்.

"லக்ஷணம் மிகுந்த பெண் அகலிகை தேவி .
லக்ஷ்மியைப் போன்றே உவமை அற்றவள்!"

பொங்கியது காமம் இந்திரன் மனத்தில்
'அங்கம் தழுவி அனுபவிக்க வேண்டும்!'

தேவர்கள் அதிபதியாக இருந்த போதிலும்,
தேவமாதரிடம் இன்பம் துய்த்த போதிலும்,

விரக தாபம் மேலிட்டு வருத்தியது என்று
விண்ணுலகினின்று வந்தான் மண்ணுலகு.

கண்டதும் மதி மயங்கினான் இந்திரன்;
'விண்டது குறைவே நாரதர் என்னிடம்!'

'எப்படியாவது ஒருமுறை' என்ற எண்ணம்
எப்படி வந்தது அந்த ரிஷிபத்தினியின் மீது?

பின் விளைவுகளை அவன் எண்ணவில்லை!
முன்யோசனையாகத் திட்டம் தீட்டினான்.

விடியலில் செல்வார் முனிவர் நீராடுவதற்கு;
முடித்த பின் வருவார் அனுஷ்டானங்களை!

குடிலைச் சுத்தம் செய்துவிட்டு அகலிகை
எடுத்து வைப்பாள் பூஜைப் பொருட்களை.

விருப்பத்தை நிறைவேற்ற நல்ல நேரம்
விடியலில் முனிவர் வெளியேறும் நேரம்!

# 13a. Ahayla Devi

"Why did Indra build that temple? Why did he do Ganesa puja? Please tell me everything in detail!" Rukmaangathan begged Narada to go on.

Narada said, "Once I went to Indralokam. The apsaras were giving a divine dance performance. Indra offered me a seat and asked me, "Tell me what is the greatest wonder you have seen today"

I (Narada) replied told Indra."Today I had been to the ashram of Gouthama rushi. His wife Ahayla Devi is a beauty nonpareil. Indra kept on asking me "Is she more beautiful than the apsaras of my swarga?"

I told him ," She is more beautiful than any apsaras. In fact she if a real beauty like Lakshmi Devi whose beauty is second to none"

Indra's desire was duly kindled and he felt the deep pangs of lust. Despite being the king of heaven, despite having all the apsaras at his beck and call, he yearned for the proximity of the beautiful Ahayla Devi.

He went down to the earth. He was spellbound by a mere look at that rushi patni Ahayla Devi, "Narada's observation is an understatement of her beauty. I must enjoy her proximity at least once, but how?

He forgot the miserable and frightening consequences he might have to face. He forgot everything except that he must possess her at least once. He found out that rushi Gouthama went to a river very early in the morning, to finish his bath and nithya karma anushtaanam.

That time Ahayla Devi would clean her hut and get ready the things needed for puja. That would be the ideal time to go near her. He made what he thought to be a fool proof plan.

#13b. அகலிகை

விடிவதற்கு இன்னும் வெகுநேரம் இருக்கும்போதே
வடிவெடுத்துக் கொண்டான் இந்திரன் சேவலாக!

உரக்கக் கூவினான் ஆசிரமத்தின் அருகே நின்று;
உடனே புறப்பட்டார் கௌதம முனிவர் நதிக்கு.

முனிவர் அப்பால் சென்றதும் இந்திரன் - கௌதம
முனிவரின் வடிவெடுத்து நுழைந்தான் குடிலில்.

"அப்போது தான் வெளியே சென்ற தன் கணவர்
அதற்குள் திரும்பிவிட்டாரே!" வியந்தாள் அகலிகை

"கோழி கூவியதால் நீராடச் சென்றேன் விரைந்து.
வழியில் தெரிந்தது இன்னமும் விடியவில்லை என்று.

உறக்கம் கெட்டுவிட்டது இன்று !" என்று கூறி வந்து
கிறக்கத்துடன் அமர்ந்தான் இந்திரன் அகலிகை அருகே.

கணவன் என்று நம்பியதால் ஐயுறவில்லை அகலிகை.
கணவனின் அன்பில் திக்குமுக்காடினாள் அன்று.

உறக்கம் விடாத நிலையில் இருந்தன தென்பட்ட
உலகத்தின் உயிர்க் கூட்டங்கள் அனைத்துமே!

விண்மீன்களில் அமைப்பிலும் தெரிந்தது இன்னும்
விடிவதற்கு வெகுநேரம் உள்ளது என முனிவருக்கு.

மனம் கலங்கிக் குழம்பி ஏனோ சஞ்சலப் பட்டது!
மனம் இது போல இருந்தது இல்லையே தினமும்!

நித்யானுஷ்டானங்களை முடித்தார் விரைவாக.
வித்தியாசமான மனக்குழப்பத்துடன் திரும்ப;

அடைக்கப்பட்டு இருந்தன குடிலின் கதவுகள்
அழைத்தார் மனைவியைக் கதவைத் தட்டி !

கட்டிலில் தன்னுடன் இருந்தது கணவன் எனில்
எட்டியிருந்து அவர் குரல் ஒலிப்பது எப்படி?

கணநேரத்தில் புரிந்தது தான் மோசம் போனது!

#13 b. Ahayla Devi

Long before dawn, Indra assumed the form of a cock. He crowed loudly in front of the ashram. Gouthama rushi thought it was time for the bath and daily prayers. He left for the river immediately.

The moment Rushi's back was turned, Indra assumed the form of the rushi and entered the ashram. Ahalya was surprised to see him return so soon.

"It is not yet dawn. Si I came back. My sleep had been disturbed unnecessarily." Indra in the guise of the sage sat near Ahayla. She did not suspect any foul play and was happy with the love showered on her by the 'sage' on that day.

The rushi noticed that all the living creatures were in deep sleep. He looked up at the sky and found from the position of the stars that it was not yet time for dawn. He hurriedly finished his daily prayer. His mind was deeply troubled for no known reason. Such a thing had never before happened. He hurried back to the ashram.

The doors were closed. So he knocked the door and called out his wife's name. Ahayla was startled to hear her husband's voice from outside the hut. If her husband was outside the hut, then who was with her on the cot?

She was shocked to realize that she had been deceived by a clever impersonator.

#13c. அகலிகை

கண்களில் பறந்தன தீப் பொறிகள்!
கண்ணகி போலச் சினந்து நின்றாள்!

"மோசம் செய்து விட்டாயே என்னை!
வேஷம் கலைந்தது! நீ யார் எனக்கூறு!"

முனிபத்தினியின் முன் வெட்கித் தலை
குனிந்து நாணி நின்றான் தேவேந்திரன்.

"பாதகம் செய்து களங்கப் படுத்தினாய்;
ஏது காரணம் உடனே என்னிடம் கூறு!"

"அழகைக் கண்டு மயங்கி விட்டேன்
தழுவி இன்புற விருப்பம் கொண்டேன்!"

முனிவர் தட்டினார் மீண்டும் கதவுகளை.
முனிவரின் பாதங்களில் ஓடி விழுந்தாள்.

கண்ணீரால் கழுவினாள் இரு கால்களை
"மன்னியுங்கள் சுவாமி என் பிழையை.

மோசம் செய்துவிட்டான் - உம் போலவே
வேஷம் அணிந்து வந்திருந்த தேவராஜன்.

கூவினான் ஏமாற்றச் சேவல் உருவில்!
கூடினான் என்னுடன் உங்கள் உருவில்.

ஐயுறவில்லை நான் சிறிதும் அவன் மீது!
ஐயனே இப்பிழை என்னுடையது அல்ல!'

"கணவனின் பழகிய ஸ்பரிசத்திற்கும்,
காமுகனின் புதிய ஸ்பரிசத்திற்கும்,

இல்லை வேறுபாடு என்று சொல்பவள்
கல்லா அல்லது பெண்ணா நீயே கூறு!

பொல்லாதவனிடம் கற்பை இழந்த நீ
கல்லாக மாறிக் கிட காலமெல்லாம்!"

சாப விமோசனம் கேட்டுக் கதறினாள்;
தாபம் நீக்கினார் சாப நிவாரணத்தால்.

"தயரதன் மகன் ராமன் கால் பட்டதும்
சுயவுருவடைவாய்! அதுவரை காத்திரு!"

#13c. Ahalya Devi

Sparks flew out of her red eyes. She spoke with a terrible anger. "You have deceived me by impersonating my husband. Who are you? Reveal your true self now!"

Indra hung his head with shame in front of the wrath of the rishi patni. "Why did you do this to me?" Ahalya demanded Indra. "I was shaken by your beauty and wanted to enjoy you at any cost!"

Gouthama rushi knocked the doors again. Ahayla opened the doors, ran out and flung herself at his feet. Her copious tears of remorse washed the sage's feet.

"Oh swami! please forgive me and my sin. Indra had deceived both of us. He cried in the form a cock to get you out of the hut and came to me in your form. I did not suspect anything amiss. It is not my fault."

Gouthama replied,"If a woman says that there is no difference between the touch of her husband and that of a stranger, she must be made of a stone. You lost your chastity and you will become a stone for eternity."

Ahayla cried at his feet for a saapa nivaaranam. He took pity on her and said, "When the feet of Sri Rama, the son of King Dasaratha touch you, you will regain your true form"

#13d. அகலிகை

அகலிகைக்குச் சாப நிவாரணம் கூறிவிட்டுப்
பகைவன் இந்திரனைத் தேடினார் கௌதமர்.

குடிலில் ஒளிந்திருந்த இந்திரன் - பூனை
வடிவெடுத்துத் தப்பிச் செல்ல முயன்றான்.

தபோ மகிமையால் அதை உணர்ந்த முனிவர்
தப்பிச் செல்லாதவாறு அதட்டினார் அவனை.

"நிஜ உருவில் வந்து வணங்கினான் அவரை.
"ராஜனே! உன் பதவி என்ன? பெருமை என்ன?

தேவ மங்கையர் போதவில்லையோ உனக்கு?
பாவப்பட்ட ரிஷிபத்னியும் தேவைப்பட்டாளோ?

மனிதனாக இருந்தால் எரிந்து போயிருப்பாய்!
புனிதன் போல நடிப்பு! புரிவதோ இழிசெயல்!

பெண் இன்பத்தை நாடிப் பாதகம் புரிந்தாய்!
பெண் குறிகளால் உன் உடல் நிறையட்டும்."

கோபம் வெளிப்பட்டது 1 கொடிய சாபமாக!
சாபம் வெளிப்பட்டது 1000 பெண்குறிகளாக.

ஈனச் செயல் புரிந்து மானம் கெட்டான்
காண இயலாத விகார உடல் பெற்றான்

நாணி ஓடிச்சென்று ஒளிந்து கொண்டான்
காணவில்லை இந்திரனை தேவலோகத்தில்

காணவில்லை இந்திரனை பிரமலோகத்தில்
காணவில்லை இந்திரனை வைகுந்தத்தில்

காணவில்லை இந்திரனை கைலாசத்தில்
காணவில்லை இந்திரனை பாதாளத்தில்

குலகுருவிடம் சென்று கேட்டார்கள் தேவர்கள்
குலகுரு சொன்னார்," நாரதரைக் கேளுங்கள்!

திரிகால ஞானி ஆவான் நாரத முனிவன்
திரிலோக சஞ்சாரியும் ஆவான் நாரதன்

அவனுக்குத் தெரியாமல் இருக்க முடியாது
அவனைக் கேட்டால் பிறக்கும் தெளிவு."

#13d. Ahalya Devi

After cursing and granting saap nivaaranam to Ahayla, Gouthama looked for Indra. Indra who was hiding in the hut, transformed himself into cat and tried to slip away and escape silently.

But the Rushi knew it by his powers. He called out Indra's name. Indra came and paid obeisance to the rushi in his true form. "Oh king of heaven! Have you forgotten you power and position in the heaven? Are not the apsaras and the divine dames enough to please you? Should you deceive and enjoy a rushipatni also?

If you were a mere mortal you would have turned to ash. But you are the king of heaven who will stoop to any level seeking carnal pleasure . You did this merely for the pleasure given by a woman. May your body bear the marks of a woman all ovet it!"

Rushi's anger became a saapam. The saapam turned him into a weird figure with the mark of a woman appearing all over his body.

Indra felt so ashamed of himself that he went and hid himself immediately. The Deva looked for Indra everywhere but could not find him in swarga or Satyaloka or Vaikunta or Kailasa or even Paataal. They all went and asked their kulaguru.

He too did not know anything about it. He told them ,"Narada is a tri kaala gnaani and thiloka sanchaari . Nothing ever escapes him. If you ask him he might be knowing the whereaouts of Indra"

#13e. அகலிகை

"தேவேந்திரன் இன்றி ஒளி இழந்து விட்டோம்
தேவர்கள் நாங்களும் தேவலோகம் முழுவதும்.

தேடாத இடமில்லை மூன்று உலகங்களிலும்.
தெரிந்தால் கூறுங்கள் இந்திரன் எங்கே என!"

"வஞ்சித்து விட்டான் இந்திரன் அகலிகையை.
அஞ்சி ஒளிந்துள்ளான் கௌதமர் சாபத்தால்.

இந்திரப் பதவியைப் பெற்றிருந்தும் காமத்தால்
உந்தப்பட்டு புரிந்தான் அவன் இழிசெயல்கள்!"

அனைவரும் கூடிச் சென்றனர் கௌதமரிடம்;
அன்புடன் வரவேற்றார் தேவர்களை முனிவர்.

"தேவராஜனை இழந்து வாடுகிறது சுவர்க்கம்.
பாவத்தை மன்னித்துச் சாபநிவாரணம் தருக!

இச்சையால் வஞ்சியை வஞ்சித்தது குற்றமே.
பச்சாதாபம் கொண்டான், மன்னிப்புத் தருக "

கருணை கொண்டு மனமிளகினார் முனிவர்
"கற்பக விநாயகர் மந்திரம் மாற்றிவிடும்

அற்பப் பெண் குறிகளை இந்திரன் உடலில்
அற்புதக் கண்களாகக் கணப் பொழுதில்.

பிரஹஸ்பதிக்கு நான் உபதேசிக்கிறேன்
பிருஹஸ்பதி உபதேசிப்பார் இந்திரனுக்கு."

கந்தர்ப்பத்தில், தடாகத் தாமரைத் தண்டில்,
சந்தர்ப்பத்தை நோக்கி இருந்தான் இந்திரன்.

நாணத்துடன் வெளிப்பட்ட இந்திரன் நீராடி,
ஆர்வத்துடன் பெற்றான் உபதேசம் குருவிடம்.

அற்பப் பெண்குறிகள் மாறிவிட்டன ஆயிரம்
அற்புத விழிகளாக ஒரு கண நேரத்தில்.

#13e. Ahalya devi

"The swarga lacks luster without Indra. All of us have lost our glory due his absence. Do you have any idea where Indra is now?" The Deva asked Narada.

Narada replied," Deva Raj Indra has deceived rushi patni Ahalya devi by impersonating her husband sage Goutama. He is hiding after being cursed by Goutama rushi".

All of them now went to meet Goutama rushi. He welcomed the congregation of the Deva. The Deva apologized for the unwise acts of Indra and begged the rushi to pardon him and give a saapa nivaaranam.

The rushi was moved with pity. He agreed to teach the Karpaga Vinayaka mantram to Guru Sukraachaarya. He should in turn teach it to Indra. Then the marks of a woman all over Indra's body would be transformed to beautiful eyes.

Indra was hiding in the stem of a lotus flower in a lake in the place called Kandharppam. The Deva reached there and called Indra to come out of his hiding place. Indra was ashamed to come out with his weird body.

He came out reluctantly. He took bath in the pond and learned the mantra from Guru Sukraachaarya. Immediately the ugly markings of a woman all over Indra's body got transformed into one thousand lovely eyes.

#13f . சிந்தாமணி விநாயகர்

"தேவலோகம் ஒளியிழந்து வாடி நிற்கிறது.
தேவர்கோன் திரும்ப வேண்டும் இப்போதே!"

அன்புக் கட்டளை இட்டது தேவர்களின் குழூ;
பண்புடன் பதில் அளித்தான் தேவேந்திரன்.

"ஷடாக்ஷர மந்திரம் தொலைத்தது பாவத்தை.
கடாக்ஷம் பெறவேண்டும் கற்பக விநாயகரது!

பெருமானை பூஜித்து அருள் பெற்ற பின்னரே
திரும்புவேன் நான் சுவர்க்கம்; செல்வீர் நீவீர!"

தேவர்கள் சென்றனர் விடை பெற்றுக் கொண்டு.
தேவேந்திரன் சென்றான் கதம்ப வனத்துக்கு!

தடாகக் கரையில் எழுப்பினான் ஓர் ஆலயம்.
விடாமல் தவம் செய்தான் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள்.

அன்ன ஆகாரம் இன்றிச் செய்த தவத்தால்
அண்ணல் மகிழ்ந்து தந்தார் தன் தரிசனம்

வேழமுகத்துடன், நான்கு கரங்களுடன்,
அழகிய பெருமான் அளித்தார் வரங்கள்.

"என்னாளும் குறையாத பக்தியைத் தாரீர்.
இந்நாள் முதல் சிந்தாமணி விநாயகர் ஆவீர்.

தீர்த்தம் ஆகவேண்டும் சிந்தாமணித் தீர்த்தம்;
தீர்ப்பீர் தொழுகின்ற அன்பர்கள் குறைகளை.

சகல கார்ய சித்தி அருள வேண்டும் ஐயனே!
சகல இடர்களும் விலக வேண்டும் ஐயனே."

பணிந்து வேண்டினான் பக்தியுடன் இந்திரன்;
கனிந்து அளித்தார் கோரிய வரங்களை.

சிந்தாமணி விநாயகரைத் தொழுது தன்
சிந்தாகுலம் தீர்ந்தான் இந்திரன் அன்று.

சிந்தாமணித் தீர்த்தத்தில் நீ நீராடுவாய்;
சிந்தாமணி விநாயகரைத் தொழுவாய்.

சிந்தையைக் கலக்கும் நோய் மறையும்;
சொந்த உருவம் திரும்பும் நொடியில்."

#13f. Chintaamani Vinaayakar.

"Swarga lacks luster without your presence. You must return to swarga immediately!" the Deva insisted Indra.

Indra replied, "The shataakshara mantra nullified my sins. But I must get the blessings of Vinayaka before I return to swarga. I request all of you to go back to swarga now"

The Deva obeyed him. They took leave of him and went back to Swarga. Indra went to Kadambavanam. He built a temple at the bank of the thadaagam. He did penance there for one thousand years without food and sleep. Vinayaaka was very pleased with him and gave him his dharshan.

Indra asked for these boons. "I must be blessed with undiminished bhakti to you. You must be worshiped as Chintaamani Vinayaka here. This theertham must become Chintaamani theertham. All the difficulties of the devotees worshiping you here must be removed and their problems rectified. "

Vinayaka blessed with all the boons he sought. Indra worshiped the Chintaamani Vinayaka after bathing in the Chintaamani theertham. You too do the same and I am sure your disease will be cured in no time" Narada advised to Rukmaangathan.
