#29b. பத்மாவதியின் கனவு

"அழிவுக்கு ஆளாகாமல் வந்துள்ளோம்!
பழிச் செயலைச் செய்திருந்த போதும் !"

கூறினர் பூலோகத்தில் நடந்தவற்றை;
மாறினான் இந்திரன் அதைக் கேட்டதும்.

ஓடினான் பத்மஸரோவருக்கு உடனே;
தேடினான் தவம் செய்யும் பகவானை.

விடவில்லை பற்றிய பாதங்களை அவன்;
எழவில்லை மன்னித்தேன் என்னும் வரை!

"தவறு ஒன்றும் நிகழவில்லை இந்திரா!
தவத்தில் திருப்தி செய்தோம் லக்ஷ்மியை

மனம் உருகி வருந்திடும் ஒருவருக்கு
மன்னிப்பு உண்டு நிச்சயம்!" என்றான்.

இந்திரன் திரும்பினான் இந்திரலோகம்.
சொந்தமாக சிருஷ்டித்த தேவதையிடம்,

"வன தேவதையாக இருந்து காப்பாற்றுவாய்
தினமும் தேடி வரும் பக்தர்களை!" என்றான்.

தவம் தொடர்ந்தது மீண்டும் நெடுங்காலம்;
தவத்துக்கு இரங்கி வரவே இல்லை லக்ஷ்மி.

இருபத்து இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் ஓடி விட்டன;
வருத்தத்தில் மூழ்கியிருந்தாள் பத்மாவதி.

'லக்ஷ்மியுடனேயே தங்கி விட்டாரா அவர் ?
லக்ஷ்மியைத் தேடித் திரிகின்றாரா அவர் ?

கண்டு பிடிக்கவே முடியாதபடி எங்கோ
கண் காணாது ஒளிந்து இருக்கின்றாளா?'

இரவு முழுவதும் உறங்கவில்லை அவள்;
துறவுக் கோலத்தில் கனவினில் கண்டாள்

விடியற்காலை நேரத்தில் ஸ்ரீனிவாசனை!
இடி விழுந்தது போலாகிவிட்டது உள்ளம்!

வகுள மாலிகையிடம் கூறினாள் கனவை;
வெகுவாகத் துயருற்றாள் அதை எண்ணி!

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
#29b. The dream

The celestial maidens told Indra,"We escaped by the skin of our teeth from being cursed by God." They related the events that happened on earth after they went there. Indra was quite shocked at his mistaking the identity of the young man Srinivaasan.

Indra went to the earth as fast as he could. He reached Padma Sarovar and looked for Srinivaasan there. He fell at his feet and would not let go until Srinivaasan explicitly stated that all Indra's actions had been forgiven and forgotten.

"You have not anything wrong Indra! In fact your celestial maidens helped my in pleasing Lakshmi Devi with their sweet songs, dances and the garlands."

Indra went back to his world happy. Srinivaasan commanded the maiden created by his sankalpam, "Become the guardian angel of this wood and protect all my devotees form all dangers!"

His penance was resumed but Lakshmi did not appear even then. Twenty two years had rolled by after he left Padmaavati and went looking for Lakshmi Devi.

Padmaavati did not understand what was going on ! 'Has Srinivaasan settled down with Lakshmi Devi? Was he still searching for her? Had she gone into hiding such that no one could ever find her?'

Padmaavati spent a sleepless night tossing in her bed. In the early morning she had a dream. She saw Srinivaasan dressed as a sanyasin . She woke up terrified wondering whether it was just a dream or the truth.

She related her dream to VaguLa Maalikai and spent the whole day worrying about that weird dream.
 
#30a. தீப லக்ஷ்மி

மன நிம்மதி இழந்து விட்டாள் லக்ஷ்மி;
மனம் கலங்கியது நடப்பதைக் கண்டு.

'கபிலரின் ஆசிரமத்தில் தங்கிவிட்டால்
கரவீர புரத்திலிருந்து திரும்பி விடுவான்!'

எண்ணிய எண்ணம் தவறானது - கணவன்
பண்ணுகின்றான் தவம் பத்ம ஸரோவரில்.

கூறினாள் மனக் கவலையைக் கபிலரிடம்;
கோரினார் கபிலர் பிரிந்து வந்த காரணத்தை.

"வாசஸ்தலத்தைக் களங்கம் செய்த பிறகு
வசிக்க முடியுமா மீண்டும் என்னால் அங்கு?"

"மகன் போன்றவன் அல்லவா பிருகு ருஷி ?
மகனிடம் கோபம் கொள்ளலாமா ஒரு தாய்?

கணவனைப் பிரிந்து தனியே வரலாமா?
கணவனைத் தவத்தில் தவிக்க விடலாமா?

பாராமுகம் செய்வது தகுமா தேவி? இங்கு
யாராவது மகிழ்ச்சியாக உள்ளார்களா?

தவிக்கின்றீர்கள் நீங்கள் தனிமையில்;
தவிக்கின்றான் பகவான் தவம் செய்து;

தவிக்கின்றாள் பத்மாவதி கவைலையில்
தவிப்பினால் விளைந்த நன்மை என்ன?

மலரில் சென்று எழுந்தருள்வீர் தாயே!
பல காலம் செய்த தவம் பலிக்கட்டும்!"

தீபச் சுடர் உருவில் தோன்றி பகவானின்
தாபம் தீர்த்தாள் தாமரையில் லக்ஷ்மி.

தேவி தோன்றியவுடன் பிரகாசித்தது
கோடி சூரிய ஒளியுடன் தாமரை மலர்.

நிஷ்டை கலைந்து எழுந்தான் பகவான்
இஷ்டத்துடன் நோக்கினான் லக்ஷ்மியை.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
#30a. Deepa Lakshmi

Lakshmi Devi had lost her peace of mind. She had imagined that when Srinivaasan did not find her in Karaveera puram he would go back to Seshaachalam. But he had stayed back and had started doing severe penance on her.

She shared her worries with sage Kapila. He asked her the reason why she had left Vishnu and walked away from him. "Brugu insulted my living place by kicking on Bhagavaan's chest. How can I continue to live there after being insulted thus?" Lakshmi asked the sage.

"But sage Brugu is your son. A mother can never get annoyed with her son so much that she would walk away from her husband. What is the outcome of your anger Devi? Everyone is unhappy. You are unhappy and alone here.

Bhagavaan is unhappy and doing penance for your return. Padmaavati is unhappy, alone and wondering what is happening here! It is high time that your appeared to Bhagavaan on the lotus flower and make him stop his penance. "

Lakshmi Devi realized that the sage was speaking the truth. She decided to appear on the lotus flower with one thousand petals. She chose to appear as the flame of a lamp on the lotus flower. Her brilliance was superior to ten million sun shining together.

Srinivaasan could feel the brilliance even in his nishtai. He woke up, got up and looked at Deepa Lakshmi with deep affection and love.
 
#30b. பிணக்குத் தீர்ந்தது!

தாமரையில் மகாலக்ஷ்மி தோன்றியதும்
தாமதமின்றி விரைந்து வந்தனர் தேவர்.

பிரிந்தவர் சேரும் வைபவத்தைக் காணப்
பெரிய பாக்கியம் செய்திருக்க வேண்டுமே!

தேவர்கள் துதித்தனர் தேவியைப் பலவாறு;
தேவி இறங்கவில்லை தாமரையை விட்டு.

பிருகுவிடம் பேசினார் ஈசன் தனிமையில்,
"பிரிவுக்குக் காரண கர்த்தா நீரே அல்லவா?

தேவியிடம் சென்று மன்னிப்புக் கேட்பீர்!" என,
தேவியிடம் சென்று பிருகு கேட்டார் மன்னிப்பு.

சாந்தம் அடைந்து இறங்கினாள் லக்ஷ்மி தேவி.
சந்தனம் பூசினாள் பகவான் வக்ஷஸ்தலத்தில்.

வணங்கினாள் அவனை மண்டியிட்டு - அவளைப்
பிணக்குத் தீர்ந்து மார்பில் அமர்த்தினான் அவன்.

கந்தருவர் இசையுடன் கலந்து மலர் சொரிந்திட,
துந்துபி முழங்கியது எண் திசைகளிலும் பரவி.

அப்சரஸ் விண்ணில் ஆடினர் ஆனந்த நடனம்.
அருளினார் பகவான் உலகுக்குச் சிறந்த வரம்.

"கார்த்திகை மாத சுத்த பஞ்சமியில் - பத்ம
தீர்த்தத்தில் நீராடுபவருக்கு சகல சம்பத்து."

அனைவரும் அடைந்தனர் சேஷாசலம் ;
அனைவரையும் வரவேற்றாள் பத்மாவதி.

ஆரத்தி எடுத்தாள்; திருஷ்டி கழித்தாள் அவள்;
ஆனந்தத்தில் தத்தளித்தாள் வகுள மாலிகை!

#30 b. Happy Reunion

When the news spread that Mahaalakshmi had appeared on the lotus flower in the Padma theertham, the Devas rushed there. The happy reunion of the Lord and Devi was not to be missed at any cost.

The Deva worshiped Devi and sang her praise but Lakshmi did not get down from the lotus flower. Siva understood the reason. He spoke to Sage Brugu and told him, "You have been the cause of the separation between Vishnu and Lakshmi. You must go and request Devi to return to her lord"

Brugu begged for Devi's pardon and pleaded with her to return to her lord. Lakshmi Devi became pacified. She got down from the lotus flower. She smeared the fragrant sandal paste on lord's chest - where she used to live.

She knelt to him and paid obeisance. Their differences had been ironed out now. Lord was happy to lift her back to her original abode in his broad chest.

The Gandharvas sang and showered flowers. Dundubi blared and spread the joy. The apsaras did a dance of delight. Srinivaasan gave a special boon to the world.

"Whosoever bathes in the Padma theertham on the Suddha panchami day in the month of Kaarthigai will be blessed with every good fortune and the eight kinds of riches."

Everyone now went to Seshaachalam. Padmaavati welcomed them. She did haarathi to the couple. VaguLa Maalikai was overwhelmed with happiness.

#31a. ஆனந்தம் ஆனந்தம்!

ஆனந்த மயமாக மாறிவிட்டது அங்கே
ஆனந்த நிலயத்தில் மூவரின் வாழ்க்கை.

சக்களத்திகள் போல இருக்கவில்லை - இரு
சஹோதரிகள் போல அன்பு செலுத்தினர்.

பரம சந்தோஷம் பக்த கோடிகளுக்கு;
வரம் அளிக்க இருந்தனர் மூவர் என்று!

தனிமையில் கூறினான் லக்ஷ்மியிடம்,
ஸ்ரீனிவாசன் குபேரனின் கடனைப் பற்றி.

"வட்டி கட்ட ஒப்புக் கொண்டேன் நான்
வட்டி கட்ட வில்லை ஒரு முறை கூட.

பழிக்கு ஆளாகி விடுவேனே - நான்
இழிச் சொற்களைக் கேட்க நேருமோ?

உதவ முடியும் உன்னால் எனக்கு!
அதுவும் மிக எளிதான் முறையில்!

உன்னைத் தேடி வரும் பக்தருக்கு வழங்கு
பொன்னையும், பொருளையும் வாரி வாரி.

என்னைத் தேடி வருபவர்கள் அளிப்பர் - அந்தப்
பொன்னையும், பொருளையும் காணிக்கையாக!"

புறப்பட்டாள் லக்ஷ்மி தேவி கேட்ட உடனே,
"நிறைவேற வேண்டும் நம் நோக்கம் சுவாமி!

தனியே இருக்க வேண்டும் நான் - நம்முடைய
பணிகள் சரிவர நடை பெறுவதற்கு!" என்றாள்.

பாதாள லோகம் சென்றாள் லக்ஷ்மி
பகவானுக்கு உதவத் தயார் ஆனாள்.

"நினைத்த காரியம் இனிதாக நடைபெறப்
புனிதப் படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் நான்."

பகவன் பாடு மீண்டும் திண்டாட்டம்
பாதாள லோகத்தில் லக்ஷ்மி தவத்தில்

பூலோகத்தில் வந்து நிலை பெற்றால் தான்
ஆலோசிக்க முடியும் குபேரன் வட்டியை!

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
#31a. Days filled with joy!

Aanandha Nilayam was filled with aanandham now. The lives of the three gods were filled with joy and nothing but joy. Srinivaasan's two consorts were more like two sisters than two wives competing for the love of their husband!

The devotees were happy since now there were three gods to bless them with whatever they wanted. One day when they were all by themselves, Srinivaasan spoke to Lakshmi Devi about the money borrowed from Kuberan.

He said, "I can return the money borrowed at the end of Kali yuga. But I had agreed to pay the annual interest and I could not pay that even once. I am afraid I will be ridiculed for going back on my promise. I may have to hear unkind comments. You can help me easily. Bless your devotees who throng to visit your temple with immense wealth. They will be only too happy to part with a portion of it and offer it to me."

Lakshmi Devi understood his requirement and his wish. She got ready to go away immediately. She told him, "If your plan should work out with success, we have to live separately in the future also."

She went to Paataala lokam and wanted to purify herself for the task ahead of her. Srinivaasan never expected this to happen. Lakshmi had gone away to Paataalaa one more time. She had started her penance once again. But she had to be on the earth and in her temple - if his plans were to succeed!

வழக்கமாக முடிவுறும்.

பிரமன், நாராயணன், ஈசன், சிவன், மகாதேவன், நீல கண்டன் ,

இந்திரன், வாமனன், சந்திரன், ராவணன், விபீஷணன்,

ராமன, லக்ஷ்மணன், பரதன், சத்ருக்னன் :bump2:

இத்தனை பேர்களையும் நான் மரியாதையை குறைவாக

எழுதி வந்துள்ளேன் இன்று வரை அடாடா!

தமிழக அரசு செய்ததைப் போல சந்தனக் கடத்தல் கொள்ளையர் வீரப்பர்

என்றல்லவோ சொல்லிருக்க் வேண்டும்?

போனால் போகட்டும்! இனிமேல் படிப்பார்கள்

ன் என்ற எழுத்தை ர் என்ற எழுத்தாக மாற்றிப் படிக்கவும்.

நானே மாற்றி எழுதலாம்.

ஆனால் தமிழ் கூறும் நல்லுலகம் என்னை நாடு கடத்திவிடும்! :scared:

#31b . மீண்டும் தவம்

சென்றான் ஸ்ரீனிவாசன் பாதாள லோகம்;
நின்றான் தியானம் செய்த லக்ஷ்மி முன்பு.

கண்டாள் லக்ஷ்மி அகக்கண்களில் அவனை
காணவில்லை அவள் புறக்கண்கள் அவனை.

"தரிசனம் தந்தீர்கள் எனக்கு - ஆனால்
அரிதாகி மீண்டும் மறைந்து விட்டீர்கள்"

கலைந்து விட்டது உன் தவம் லக்ஷ்மி!
வேலைகள் அநேகம் காத்திருக்கின்றன.

தடைபட்டுள்ளன அவை உன் தவத்தால்;
உடைபடும் தடை நீ பூலோகம் சென்றால்!

சுகரின் ஆசிரமத்தில் காத்திருக்கின்றது,
சுகமான ராஜ போகம் உனக்கு!" என்றான்

அதிசேஷனை தியானித்தாள் லக்ஷ்மி;
ஆதிசேஷன் வந்து வணங்கி நின்றான்.

"சேர வேண்டும் சுகரின் ஆசிரமத்தை!"
தேர் நின்றது வெள்ளைப் பரிகள் பூட்டி!

ஏறி அமர்ந்தாள் அழகிய ரதத்தினில்,
அரிய ஆபரணங்கள் அணிந்த லக்ஷ்மி.

ரதத்துடன் தேவியைத் தலையில் தாங்கி,
வேகத்துடன் வெளிப்பட்டான் பூவுலகில்.

சாயாசுகர் கண்டார் மஹாலக்ஷ்மியை,
"சரணம் சரணம் லோக மாதா!" என்றார்.

#31b. Back to Penance

Srinivaasan went to paatala lokam. He stood in front of Lakshmi Devi who was in deep meditation. She saw him with her inner eyes but when she opened her eyes but she did not find him there!
"Lord! You appeared to my inner eyes but I am unable to see you now." Srinivaasan told her, "Now that your meditation is disturbed, listen to me carefully.

You have many tasks ahead of you. Your presence is needed on the earth and not in the pataala lokam. A very fruitful and joyous life awaits you in the ashram of Sage Chaayaa Sukar."

She had to reach the surface of the earth now and very fast! Lakshmi Devi thought of Aadhiseshan and he appeared immediately. She told him, "I have to reach the ashram of Sage Chaaya Sukar now. Please arrange for that."

A chariot with white horses stood ready for her. Lakshmi Devi got into it decorated with her exquisite jewels.

Aadhiseshan lifted the chariot on his head and they were on the surface of the earth near the ashram of the Sage Chaayaa Sukar.

The Sage became happy to see Devi and welcomed her saying "SarNam, SaraNam Loka Maataa!"
 
#31c. சாயா சுகர்

சுகர் விரும்பினார் சாயுஜ்ய முக்தியை
சுகர் எழும்பினார் தம் யோகசக்தியால்.

தடுத்தான் சூரியன் சுகரின் பிரயாணத்தை;
விடுத்தான் சுகரிடம் கேள்விக் கணைகளை.

"முன்னோர்கள் பூவுலகில் வாழ்ந்திருக்க,
முன்பாக சாயுஜ்யம் அடைய முடியுமா?

அருகதை இல்லை உமக்கு சாஸ்திரப்படி,
அறிந்திருப்பீர் இதனை நீரும் முன்பாகவே!

கிருஹஸ்தாஸ்ரமத்தை ஏற்க வேண்டும்;
பிறக்க வேண்டும் புத்திரர்கள், சந்ததியினர்;

பிரம்மஞானி ஆவது அதற்கும் பின்பு;
அரிய சாயுஜ்யம் அதற்கும் பின்பு என்று."

மனிதனுக்குத் தேவை நான்கு ஆசிரமங்கள்;
முனிவனுக்குத் தேவை இல்லை அவைகள்.

நீர்க்குமிழி போன்றது வாழ்க்கை என்று
நீத்து விடுகிறோம் அதை முற்றிலுமாக.

அடைய முடியுமா ஞான மார்க்கத்தை என
விடை அறிய விரும்பினேன் தந்தையிடம்.

அனுப்பினார் என்னை ஜனக ராஜனிடம்,
வனப்புடன் விளக்கினார் ஜனகர் எனக்கு.

பக்குவம் அடையாதவனுக்குத் தேவை இவை;
பக்குவம் அடைந்தவனுக்கு அல்ல என்பாதை."

"விதிகளைக் கூறுபவர்களே தாம் கூறிய
விதிகளை உடைக்கவில்லையா முனிவரே!

விஷ்ணு, பிரமதேவன், வசிஷ்டர், சக்தி,
பராசரர், வியாசர், நீர் ஒரு வம்சத்தினர்.

தேவை ஒரு சந்ததி சேவை செய்திட;
தோற்றுவித்தால் உமக்கு சாயுஜ்யம்!"

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
#31c. Sage Chaayaa Sugar

Sage Sugar wished to obtain Saayujya Mukti. He could travel in air by his yoga shakti. He went up higher and higher in the sky, until he was stopped by the Sun god. The sage was fired with several questions by the Sun God.

"Your ancestors are still living on the face of the earth. It is your duty to serve them. Why do you wish for Saayujya Mukti before they have obtained liberation? You are not qualified for it as yet. I am sure you are aware of it yourself.

You must take up Gruhasthaasramam. You must beget good children. You can become a Brahma gnaani only after the completion of the Gruhasthaasramam and Vaanaprastham. Saayujya Mukti comes at the every end of all the four aashramams taken up in the correct sequence."

The Sage Sugar replied, "Taking up the four aashramams in the correct order is only for ordinary human beings and not for those who are born as Brahma gnaanis. We know that the life of a human is just like bubble seen on the surface of water.

We do not wish to entertain that or enter into samsaara. I asked my learned father Sage Vyaasaa whether it was possible to take up the gnana maarggam directly. He sent me to the king Janaka .

King Janaka explained that point very well to me! He said the four aashrams in the correct order is only for ordinary human beings and not for those who are already set on the gnaana maarggam."

"But O sage! Did you notice that those who preach these rules also follow them. They do not bend or break the rules to suit their convenience. Vishnu, Brahma, Vasishtar, Shakti, Paraasarar, Vyaasar and you are from one lineage. You must beget a son to serve your elders. Saayujya Mukti is possible only after that." The Sun God stuck to his line of argument.
 
#31d. சூரியனும், சுகரும்.

சக்தியினால் தோற்றுவித்தார் மானசீக புத்திரனை,
யுக்தியுடன் நிறுத்தினார் அவனை சூரியனின் முன்பு.

சாயாசுகர் வணங்கிய பின் கேட்டார் சுகரிடம்,
"மாயையால் என்னைத் தோற்றுவித்தது ஏன்?"

"கங்கைக் கரையில் வசிக்கும் என் தந்தைக்குத்
தங்கு தடையின்றி சேவை செய்து வருவாய்!"

வியாசருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்வதற்குச்
சாயாசுகர் வசித்தார் சுவர்ண முகி தீரத்தில்.

கவர்ந்தது சுகரின் அறிவாற்றல் சூரிய்னை;
கதிரவன் கேட்டான் புதிர் போல சுகரிடம்,

தத்துவம் என்ன உள்ளது என் உருவில்?"
"சித்தத்துக்கு எட்டிய வரை கூறுகின்றேன்,

உண்டாயிற்று பிரணவம் நாரணனிடம்;
உண்டாயிற்று ஆகாசம் பிரணவத்திடம்;

உண்டாயிற்று வாயு ஆகாசத்திடம்;
உண்டாயிற்று அக்னி இவைகளிடம்.

வாயுவும், ஆகாசமும் கலந்த போது
வியாபித்தது அக்னி தோன்றிப் பரவி.

பிரளயம் தோன்றியது ஜல வடிவத்தில்!
பிரளய ஜலம் தோற்றுவித்தது பலப்பல

தங்க நிறம் கொண்ட ஒளிக் கிரணங்களை;
தங்கநிற ஒளிக்கிரணங்கள் ஆயின சூரியனாக!

அண்ட சராசரம் தோன்றியது அதிலிருந்து!
கொண்டிருந்தது வாழ வைக்கும் சக்தியை.

அசையும் அசையாப் பொருட்கள் வாழ
அவசியம் ஆனது அந்த சூரியனின் சக்தி.

சூரிய சக்தியால் மனிதன் பிறக்கிறான்;
சூரிய சக்தியால் மனிதன் வாழ்கிறான்.

அவன் சக்தி அடைகின்றது மீண்டும்
அதே சூரியனை ஒளிக்கிரணம் வழியே.

அனுமதித்தான் சூரியன் சுகர் செல்வதற்கு;
அடைந்தான் வியப்பு அறிவாற்றல் கண்டு!

#31d. Sun and Sage Sukar

Sage Sukar created his son by his yogic power. The son was called as Chaayaa Sukar, "May I know why you have created me father?" the Chaayaa Sukar asked the Sage Sukar.

"My father Vyasa lives on the banks of River Ganges. I want you to go and serve him as well as I myself would have done "

The Chaayaa Sukar went to the banks of SwarNamuki river to serve Sage Vyasa - father of Sage Sukar.

The Sun God was stunned by the intelligence and the yogic power of the sage. "I wish to ask you one more question . What is the tatvam involved in me?" the Sun asked the sage.

The sage replied humbly, "I will make an attempt to answer this question to the best of my knowledge. PraNava appeared from Lord Naaraayanaa. The Aakaasam emerged from the PraNava. The Vaayu emerged from the Aakaasam. Agni emerged from these two.

When the Aakaasam and Vaayu merged, Agni emerged from them. PraLaya appears in the form of water. The PraLaya jalam created several golden beams of light. These golden beams of light formed the Sun.

The Universe was created from the energy of the Sun. The Sun holds the power needed for all forms of life. The energy radiated by the Sun is essential for all the living things - those which can move about and those which cannot move about.

Man is born from the power of the Sun. He lives because of the power given by the Sun. His energy returns to the Sun again though the golden beams when he dies."

Sun was pleased with this answer and allowed the Sage Sukar to pass through in his upward journey. He was wonder struck at the intelligence of the Sage Sukar.
 
#31e. சுக க்ஷேத்ரம்

போற்றினார் லக்ஷ்மியை சாயா சுகர்;
போற்றினர் லக்ஷ்மியை மும்மூர்த்திகள்;

போற்றினர் லக்ஷ்மியைத் தேவ கந்தர்வர்;
போற்றினர் லக்ஷ்மியை முனி புங்கவர்கள்.

பிரமன் வேண்டினான் லக்ஷ்மி தேவியிடம்,
"தர வேண்டும் பத்ம தீர்த்தத்தில் நீராடினால்

அஷ்ட ஐஸ்வரியங்களையும் அள்ளி அள்ளி!
கஷ்டங்கள் எல்லாம் தொலைய வேண்டும்!

ஆலயம் அமைக்கும் எண்ணம் கொண்டேன்;
அனுமதி வேண்டும் அதை இங்கு அமைக்க.

"சுக க்ஷேத்திரத்தை விடுத்தது என்னுடன்
சேஷாச்சலம் நீயும் வரவேண்டும் தேவி"

பகவான் கூறினான் லக்ஷ்மி தேவியிடம்,
பகவானுக்கு பதில் அளித்தாள் லக்ஷ்மி.

"சுக க்ஷேத்திரத்தில் இருக்க விருப்பம்;
இக பரம் தர வேண்டும் என் பக்தருக்கு!"

விசுவகர்மா அமைத்தான் ஆலயத்தை!
விசுவாசி சாயா சுகர் ஆராதனைகளை!

"செல்வதை வாரி வாரி வழங்குவாய் நீ!
செல்வர் என்னை வந்து தொழுத பின்பே."

"கார்த்திகை மாதம் சுக்கில பஞ்சமியன்று
காத்திருப்பேன் தங்கள் மாலை, சேலைக்கு!

மறக்காமல் தர வேண்டும் ஆண்டுதோறும்!"
இறைவனிடம் வேண்டினாள் லக்ஷ்மி தேவி.

சுக க்ஷேத்திரத்தில் குடி கொண்டாள் லக்ஷ்மி
சேஷாச்சலத்தில் குடி கொண்டான் பகவான்.

மலர்ந்த தாமரை மேல் தோன்றியவளை
அலர்மேல் மங்கை என அழைக்கின்றனர்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன், விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி

வேங்கடேச புராணம் முற்றுப் பெற்றது.

சுபம், சுகம், சாந்தி நிலவட்டும் எங்கும்!

# 31 e. Suka Kshetram

Sage Sukar praised Lakshmi Devi. The Trinity praised Lakshmi Devi. The Deva and Gandharva praised Lakshmi Devi. The sages praised Lakshmi Devi. Everyone praised her.

Brahma requested Lakshmi Devi to grant a boon to the world. "Whosoever bathes in this Padma theertham must be blessed with all kinds of wealth by you Devi. All their sins must get washed away.

Also I wish to build a temple for you here in this spot. I need your permission Devi"

Srinivaasan told Lakshmi Devi, "Please come with me to Seshaachlalm." But Lakshmi replied , "I wish to stay here in Suka Kshetram itself. I want to bless my devotees with the best in this world and the next. "

Viswakarma built a temple worthy of Lakshmi Devi. Chaayaa Sukar arranged for the various pooja and aaraadhanaa.

Srinivaasan told Lakshmi Devi, "Bless your devotees with immense wealth. Those who come here to worship you, will come to worship me in Seshaachalam, before going back."

Lakshmi Devi made a request to Srinivaasan. "Please send me a new sari and a garland on the Sukla Panchami day in the month of Kaarthigai. I shall eagerly await these gifts from you every year. "

Lakshmi Devi settled own in her temple in Suga Kshetram. Srinivaasan settled down in his temple in Seshaachalam. Devotees throng to worship these gods and get their blessings and grace.

Since Lakhmi appeared on the lotus flower with one thousand petals, she is called as Alarmel Mangai.

The Venkatesa PuraaNam gets Completed with this story.

I was born to Dr. K. N. Raman and Mrs. Meenal Raman as the second of their five children.

I achieved proficiency in Bharatha Natyam and Carnatic music during my school days. I graduated with Distinction from Madras University in 1966, with Physics as my Major subject. I won the National Merit Scholarship for higher studies.

I have diplomas in Carnatic Music, Journalism, Hindi and Fine arts. I have published 72 articles in The Young World of The Hindu between 1993 and 2008.
