I am shocked beyond disbelief..Normally I do not focus my attention on such trivialities..But this one really made me ponder..What is this ..Is it devotion or unflinching loyalty...or life is only for the leader not for the family..This sacrifice by a sincere party worker is for the delay caused to Amma in taking oath

I think such crazy people bring bad name to any party. The party should throw them out

Ahead of the May 22 meeting of party legislators where she is expected to be elected their leader paving the way for her return as the chief minister, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa today said things desired by her workers will happen at the right time and that "nobody can stop" it.

Responding to the alleged suicide by a party functionary reportedly miffed over the delay in her return as CM, Jayalalithaa appealed to her supporters not to put her to grief by resorting to such extreme steps.


She said her political enemies were creating falsehoods "unable to bear our (AIADMK) rise".


"Those who have tried to defeat me have never succeeded. Rumours are being spread by them with an intention to ensure their political survival," she said in a statement, days after her acquittal in the disproportionate assets case.


She asked her party workers to ignore rumours and insisted that the AIADMK walked a path of discipline and planned strategies.

After Jaya was convicted by Justice Cunha and sent to jail , BJP sensed they had an upper hand in filling the void and had plans to bring in Nirmala Sitaraman as NDA's next CM Candidate from TN but then political realities ( i..e needing AIADMK support in RS ) made them alter their plans and now they have dropped conforting Jaya and only irritant for them is Dr.Subramania Swamy and his actions against Jaya .

It is actually 'HOrai' which is written in Tamil as 'Orai'.

I do not think Spiritual is the right word.
It should be superstitious or deluded.
Only knowledge is the path to being spiritual.
The cry for help when in trouble for spiritual guidance is fruitless.

Four Kinds of Bhaktas by Swami Sivananda

Bhaktas or devotees of God are of four types. Arta, Jijnasu, Artharthi and Jnani. Arta is the distressed devotee who is suffering very much and who craves for the grace of God, in order to get himself relieved from pain and sorrow, Jijnasu is the seeker after knowledge, who feels that he is ignorant, and who wants the grace of God in order to have Wisdom. Artharthi is the seeker of wealth, who longs for earthly possessions, money, land, etc., in order to enjoy a happy life, and who propitiates God to get His grace to amass wealth. Jnani is the wise, the sage who is satisfied with the Self, who is contented in the Self, who has no desires, who is freed from desires, who has fulfilled all desires, whose only desire is the Self; who considers his own Self as the All-inclusive God.
