reminds me of a wedding that i attended when the movie thillana mohanambal was released. long ago.

this song was a hit, and the nadaswaram guy played it during the wedding. much to the chagrin of an old busybody, who came running down and admonished the vidwan for playing such a song with so dubious a title, on an auspicious occassion.

much to the delight of many then youngsters like me, who when the old biddy departed, urged the nadawara vidwan to resume nalanthaana.

mindful of his manners, the vidwan refused :)

But the song I posted in #466 is different. It's a kuthu song with lyrics like...

அடி உட்டாலக்கடி ஜின்னு!
நீ உருட்டி போட்ட பன்னு!
எதாச்சும் நீ பண்ணு!
இனி நீயும் நானும் ஒண்ணு! :evil:
