Growing Old Gracefully!

I don't think I will ever grow old gracefully (or otherwise!). From the time in my memory I was told only this...'வயசுக்கு தகுந்த மாதிரி நடக்க மாட்டாயா?'

The other day when we were reading an old collection of Thi. Janakiraman, my wife pointed out that he has referred to all the people over 60 as கிழம். That was the view in the 1940s when the stories were written. I think the life expectancy at that time was 32. It is about 67 now. So keeping the same difference of 28 years, one becomes a கிழம் at the age of 95.:bounce:

Today only people above 80 are called old.

Dear Raghy

'வயசுக்கு தகுந்த மாதிரி நடக்க மாட்டாயா? 'I should say your lucky எங்காத்ல they use to make a qualifying statement before this. See this now "ரெண்டு கழுதை வயசாச்சு! அதுக்கு ஏத்தா மாதிரி நடந்துக வேண்டாமோ ?" Jambu:boom:
