11#4C. The types of RudrAksha (3)
The ten-faced RudrAksha is the swaroopam of JanArdana, the DevA of DevAs. Wearing this pacifies the evils caused by unfriendly planets, evil spirits and snakes.
The eleven-faced RudrAksha is the swaroopam of the EkAdas (Eleven) Rudras. Wearer of this gets the benefits of performing one thousand Aswameda YAgAs, one hundred VAjapeya sacrifices and making gifts of one hundred thousand cows.
The RudrAksha with twelve faces is the swroopam of the DwAdasa AadityAs. These can be worn in the ears. They rid the wearer from the fear of wild animals, diseases and discomforts. He becomes freed of the sins incurred in killing elephants, horses, deer, cats, snakes, mice, frogs, asses, foxes and various other animals.The thirteen faced RudrAksha is very rare to find. The wearer becomes equal to KArtikeya and gets all his heart's desires fulfilled and earn the eight siddhis.
One who wears the fourteen faced RudrAksha on his head becomes equal to Siva. The Devas pay their respects to him and he attains the Highest Goal in the end namely the state of becoming Siva. His body becomes the body of Siva.
The BrAhmins should wear at least one RudrAksha with devotion. A rosary of twenty-six RudrAkshas can be worn on the head. A rosary of fifty seeds is to be worn on the chest; sixteen rudrAkshas can be worn on each of the two arms and twelve RudrAksha on each of the two wrists.
