    2010 WC9: Asteroid the Size of the Statue of Liberty Set to Skim Past Earth

    An asteroid somewhere between the size of New York’s Statue of Liberty and Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa is set to fly safely past Earth on Tuesday. Estimated to stretch between 170-400 feet across, asteroid 2010 WC9 should pass at about half the distance to the Moon at its closest approach, at 6:05 p.m. ET. It’s not an especially big asteroid, but this will be a pretty close encounter for a space rock of this size.

    A mysterious “globster” has washed ashore in the Philippines, prompting speculation that it is the carcass of a creature “from the deepest parts of the ocean”. Tripura Health Min expresses concern over increasing HIV among women

Agartala (Tripura) [India], May 14 (ANI): Tripura Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman expressed concern over increase of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection especially among women in two districts of Tripura. As part of the programme, a voluntary blood donation and free HIV test was organised in which Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma took part in it.

Opposite, a new array of sleeping bags has appeared, the temporary home for royal superfans, some of whom have travelled thousands of miles to spend their days and nights on Windsor's streets for a glimpse of the queen's grandson Prince Harry and his fiancee Meghan Markle's on their glittering wedding day. The issue of rough sleepers in Windsor made headlines in January, when the local council leader said they would be cleared from the streets before Saturday's wedding because their “detritus” was presenting the quaint town, dominated by the castle to the west of London, in a poor light.
