Raghy,
Please address me as just vaagmi. I am young enough for that. LOL.
Thank you for the songs. They are gems.
Beyond an age, moderation is good. I do not want to appear to be advising. The songs are beautiful. You too have a fine taste. I appreciate that.
There is a temple of a Devi in Kerala near Tiruvalla (near Kottayam) called the Chakkulaththu Kaavu temple. Many people go there for getting cured of the taste for spirits. I went there once to pray for a close relative of me.
Try to visit it once. May help.
You can stay in the Elite Hotel in Tiruvalla which was a fine place to stay and food was good. It is on the MC Road (no. no mistake. It is not MG Road. It is MC road because it is Main Central Road.) LOL.
And Tiruvalla is one of the Divya Desams. And you can have darshan of Sri Vallabhan also. Being Vadakalai Aiyengar it may touch a string in you and generate a beautiful swara.
All the best.
Dear Sri. Vaagmi,
I appreciate your concern. Thank you. I am delighted to see your post.
I thank you for the information about Thiruvalla. I fell in love with a ' Kavu' very long ago. In the early 1970s itself. I love that serenity even today. I will visit Thiruvalla. I also like to visit really 'not so famous' temples.... I just like to go there, sit in a corner making an attempt to join the serenity. I am planning to go to India twice next year of which I am going to go all alone in one trip. One veshti and one jippa... I will keep in touch with you.. I don't know any good temples... your direction will be valuable.. No, I am not trying to find religion; I am trying to find the heredity...
Do you know you are the first person to ask me to address my drinking? ( other than my wife Amirtha, of course..) I really appreciate it. I respect your words... From January 2018, I will give up 25% in respect of your suggestion. That is, for every 4 week ends, one will be dry.
Thank you for sharing your experience about your Upanayanam. I really enjoyed it. One of my friend's cousin had such a wonderful Upanayanam; I know, I attended it. Of course, I will never ever forget my Upanayanam.
You have been kind to me all the time. Thank you. I know it is nothing to do with Vadakalai ( I think you are a Thenkalai Vaishnava)... You know I only grew up there...
This is Friday night... night of songs... Dear Vaagmi, this is the song for you... I hope you would like this song... I usually keep my eyes closed, let the music flow in me....
