nice songs!

Indecent proposal.....

In my opinion, decency is subjective. I always wondered....

If someone likes and wants something.... and as the courage to say it.... The answer can be 'yes' or'no'....

Well, that's me personally....

I really hate to see my clients cry..... By the way, my clients are not paediatrics.... they are adults..

Yesterday morning, I was in a meeting.... I was called...

My client lost his marble.... He was all over the place ... totally paranoid.... I stood in front of him... " Hey.. hey... look here"....

I took him to our clinic, closed the door... He was screaming 'F' & 'C' words at me until we entered the clinic...

I asked him " Okay Bob... what's going on?"... He continued hurling abuses at me until I asked him...

He screamed " why me, Raghy? Why me?"..... and cried........

She passed away on Friday...... She said to me " Raghy, I want to go to New zealand. Help me"..... I did...

Before diagnosed, she had a windfall.... $ 800,000..... she gave away half of that amount to her relatives.. and decided to live it it up.... She drank one bottle of scotch per day....

I met her 4 months ago. When I visited her the first time, I knew the count down had started a long time ago...

She was very pleased when she knew I too drink, that too Bourbon.. I took her to hospital... was that 5 or 6 weeks ago? She was giggling... Took my arm... I 'escorted her to the Emergency Department'...

Does it affect me?.... yes, sure,does...

The good news is, there is someone who is there to look after me...

She came into my life....

I did all I can... I made a change..

But, i like to live my life....

So, Do we know of our own lives? The lowest point that we think of our life could the highest point... Happiness is not measured by the bank balance... we just live at a given moment...

I was like 17 years old... I knew life by then....

I clawed my way up...

It was very nice I came across this forum...

I know few members in this forum...... some... no, one.... I could call as my mother...

For the majority of the persons you see around you, this is applicable.... wait, it cold be applicable to you too!...

It was applicable to me until the last 10 years... that's when a major shift happened in my life...

although this doesn't apply to my life....

It's a 90s song...

Come on... I am old... I even have a seniors card to prove it... my old boss, she doesn't like to acknowledge I am a senior.. Her partner loves to talk to me all through the night.... Bless his heart...

It's Elton John... I mentioned him to one of my Chinese friends in Toronto..... He wouldn't hear of him .. " Listen to Micheal Bolton... a real singer... don't listen to queers"... But, I like Elton john...

Lyrics -

It's a human signWhen things go wrong
When the scent of her lingers
And temptation's strong

Into the boundary
Of each married man
Sweet deceit comes calling
And negativity lands

Cold, cold heart
Hard done by you
Some things look better, baby
Just passing through

And it's no sacrifice
Just a simple word
It's two hearts living
In two separate worlds
But it's no sacrifice
No sacrifice
It's no sacrifice at all

Mutual misunderstanding
After the fact
Sensitivity builds a prison
In the final act

We lose direction
No stone unturned
No tears to damn you
When jealousy burns

Cold, cold heart
Hard done by you
Some things look better, baby
Just passing through

And it's no sacrifice
Just a simple word
It's two hearts living
In two separate worlds
But it's no sacrifice
No sacrifice…

Respectable members,

I am posting the songs I listened to, when I am drunk!......

chithira thoniyil akkare pokan - YouTube

More to come...

Cheers!

Dear Raghy,

Now for a change get drunk with this. You will like the experience and may like to drink more of this than "that".

A Tamizh song....

This song was possibly made for me.... Every time this song was played in the radio, I scored...

Well, I could score just from one person.. still I scored...

Sri. Vaagmi,

Thank you for posting a song with English subtitles. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Any song on Rama will melt my heart... Doesn't matter I am drunk or not...

While your tastes are more refined, mine are still basic.. still in praise of Rama though.... Pleasant effects of the Vadakalai Vaishnava home I grew from... I am thankful for that...

Raghy,

Please address me as just vaagmi. I am young enough for that. LOL.

Thank you for the songs. They are gems.

Beyond an age, moderation is good. I do not want to appear to be advising. The songs are beautiful. You too have a fine taste. I appreciate that.

There is a temple of a Devi in Kerala near Tiruvalla (near Kottayam) called the Chakkulaththu Kaavu temple. Many people go there for getting cured of the taste for spirits. I went there once to pray for a close relative of me.

Try to visit it once. May help.

You can stay in the Elite Hotel in Tiruvalla which was a fine place to stay and food was good. It is on the MC Road (no. no mistake. It is not MG Road. It is MC road because it is Main Central Road.) LOL.

And Tiruvalla is one of the Divya Desams. And you can have darshan of Sri Vallabhan also. Being Vadakalai Aiyengar it may touch a string in you and generate a beautiful swara.

All the best.

Thank you very much. I travelled back in time.

Nagumo was sung by my mother-in-law on the day of my Upanayanam years back. It was a flawless performance in a pleasant to hear voice. She was a trained singer.

Don't be surprised that the mother-in-law attended the upanayanam of her son-in-law. She was my aunt and I have married her daughter who also sings well.

Everyday my breakfast has the flavour of a song or a sthothram sung elaborately while cooking. LOL.

You married your own cousin?

Dear Sri. Vaagmi,

I appreciate your concern. Thank you. I am delighted to see your post.

I thank you for the information about Thiruvalla. I fell in love with a ' Kavu' very long ago. In the early 1970s itself. I love that serenity even today. I will visit Thiruvalla. I also like to visit really 'not so famous' temples.... I just like to go there, sit in a corner making an attempt to join the serenity. I am planning to go to India twice next year of which I am going to go all alone in one trip. One veshti and one jippa... I will keep in touch with you.. I don't know any good temples... your direction will be valuable.. No, I am not trying to find religion; I am trying to find the heredity...

Do you know you are the first person to ask me to address my drinking? ( other than my wife Amirtha, of course..) I really appreciate it. I respect your words... From January 2018, I will give up 25% in respect of your suggestion. That is, for every 4 week ends, one will be dry.

Thank you for sharing your experience about your Upanayanam. I really enjoyed it. One of my friend's cousin had such a wonderful Upanayanam; I know, I attended it. Of course, I will never ever forget my Upanayanam.

You have been kind to me all the time. Thank you. I know it is nothing to do with Vadakalai ( I think you are a Thenkalai Vaishnava)... You know I only grew up there...

This is Friday night... night of songs... Dear Vaagmi, this is the song for you... I hope you would like this song... I usually keep my eyes closed, let the music flow in me....

I saw Gopal in the staff room. I said to him " How you going Gopal? Did ya have a good break?".... Gopal said " didn't you know Raghy? I was not too well. I was on sick leave?" " Were you? What got you?" I asked... " Do you remember the 'Aggressive Behaviour Management' course? I was your partner.. sorry, Raghy, I attacked you for real.. how come you didn't report me?" He asked.

I smiled at him. I knew he was attacking me for real. " So, what was wrong?" I asked. " I was manic, Raghy. I had no sleep for 2 weeks... I broke down... but, you have 3 times my caseload, but you always smile and seem to be happy.... may be I should have a few drinks like you for the week-end".he said..

" Stop there! I am 60, you are like half my age... alcohol is a king cobra... at your age, I never went near it.... I tell everyone I am getting drunk... have you ever seen me drunk? You must understand I could be making stories.. you have a partner... cook her a good meal on Friday night; she will relieve your stress"...

like this.....
