There is only a yes or no decision in whether you support LGBT or not and it is not what percentage you support. It is taking a position. Sexual expression with a loving relationship is encouraged in Hinduism because it is not expression of lust, but expression of love and devotion to each others ' happiness.Threfore, is it not permissible that loving relationship( in other words marriage) , is also to be allowed?So homo sexuals should be allowed to marry.
In Baghavatam, , Brahma created group of demons that were obsessed with sex and demanded sex from him.But Brahma got freightened and ran away from them (chap 20, text 23, 24)
What about Hindu gods connected with gender diversity such as Ardhanateeswara, Aravan, Ayappa,cross dressing gods such as Bhavati Devi, Gadadhara,Gangsmma Devi ,Yellma Devi etc. etc
Why the system was promoted through rituals and festivals such as Aravan festival, Bhahucara matha festival of Gujarat, Yellamma Devi festy of Karnataka,
Though it is not officially recognised in Hinduism, it recognised those people, who showed signs of both sexes
Why, in Radha Krishna cult , is it not telling that only Krishna is man and everyone in the earth is a woman?
What about homo sexual iconography found in Hindu temples, carvings and paintings
Kama sutra vividly describes and covers this field.(preferably 8 & 9 chapters)
Rigveda says" Vikruthi Evam Prakriti" ( diversity is what nature all about) but stops short of elaborate description.
Homo sexuality is said to have existed since dawn of creation .There is no cut right condemnation of homo sexuality Hence it seems the sutras seem to support that homo sexuality was acceptable in ancient times also.
However it is a complex issue , as a human being they have right to exist and use their fundamental right which has been upheld in Supreme court of India

I will not disown a dear one if LGBT but try to correct them because when dealt the right way, all humans begin to see reason. Even a biological urge can be changed by the right mental attitude.

just to clear any possible misunderstandings about attitude of normal humans towards lgbtqs, the individuals who are possessed with the lgbtq instinct are not condemned here nor is their right to live or co-exist with other normal humans denied.

Not Madam .. (A while ago my family used this login but lost interest in the forum quickly). Mr is fine.

It is a defect in our thinking to divide people in terms of normal and abnormal. Everything is nature is normal. If someone causes harm to others (bestiality, pedophile) that has to be stopped by the rest of the society.

Please understand this - LGBTQ people who are right now living as your friends and relatives (you just do not know) are not harming you. People who are paranoid about this LGBTQ may have deep issues about their own identity and orientation. Let us live and let live. Someone can say your kind of thinking is abnormal and recommend psychiatry. Will that be right? Just think about it.

There may or may not be a creator depending on your beliefs. But that creator did create LGBTQ, so respect them which is like respecting the creator.

America has thinking and compassionate people despite a huge voting blocks of (hate mongering) Christian Evangelicals. They were dead against gays using arguments like what you are putting forth (normal/abnormal, creator's desire etc). It took a lot of battles to decriminalize and even allow domestic partnership recognized by law.

These Christian evangelicals created non-issues into issues by denying little Transgender boys and girls to use the bathroom in schools of their chosen gender. The suicide rates among transgenders is the highest.

A sizeable number of catholic priests are pedophiles. The Church of the Vatican has been covering up for years. Overall the religion has done harm to the world by these practices.

Many are born Christians but their compassion overcame their beliefs of hatred. In USA alone they had this idea 'all men are created equal' and yet they practiced slavery for a very long time.

Look at the actions of 'true' Christians and word of the Church or pope to know where they stand on such issues.

At times it could be a DENIAL.

See..if we are sure of ourselves...another persons sexual orientation wont matter to us.

For eg I am female....I am not Lesbianphobic at all..cos i understand she is wired different from me.

Sometimes those who are gay themselves but forced to be straight..hate themselves so much that they turn homophobic...if anyone here had such issues ..you can always seek help or just break free and do a Bint E Dil and express your love like Kafur and Khilji.
