I am Iyer (Brahacharnam). My Second daughter is getting married to an Iyengar Boy - in their tredition and custom. Hence, I request you to kindly provide me in detail the things I have to procure and keep ready - item-wise, quantity-wise and not value-wise.

Only the samprathyam will change and other vaitheega matters are similar to everyone. Even in Iyengars the samprathyam will change from family to family. Its better to discuss vathiar of their family to avoid confusions and happy marriage.

If the marriage is conducted by the Iyengar tradition, then the marriage would be a 'கன்னிகாதானம்' (kannikadhaanam). It should be conducted as you wish, at the place of your choice since the bride is your daughter. The Iyengar tradition slightly differes only slightly; நாலாயிர திவ்யப்ரபந்தம் , வாரணமாயிரம் songs take place in the iyengar marriages. I wish you and your daughter all the very best.
