SIR -= There is a weekly programme in sun t.v. called 'top 10' in which old and new tamil films are ridiculed and made fun of in all ways! on 17 12 2006 inthis programme, the 200th film of late actor shivaji 'thirisoolam' a superhit movie produced by the thespian himself, was ridiculed and made fun of beyond permissible limits!! even by sun t v standards, it was too much! shivaji was made to look like a baffoon and clown- very pathetic indeed!! the same dmk which erected a statue of sivaji out of tax payers money under controversial circumstances (in a section of press it was said dmk did this to get 'devar' caste votebank) now has done this! i hope sivaji fans will understand the true face of dmk and protest this indecency!!!
SIR - a lady athelete from t.nadu shanthi soundarrasa recently won a silver medal in asiad at doha. immediately, the dmk chief minister of t.nadu hastily and rashly declared an award of a whopping Rs.15 lakhs of tax payers money for this sportswomen! however shanthi has been unfortunately stripped of her medal as she has failed the gender test. the dmk chief minister instead of wiping the eggs on his face by suspending the award till shanthi is cleared of the charges, has reporttedly announed that the cash award will be delivered to shanthi!! if there is an award for wasting tax payers money and abusing public funds, it should go to the dmk chief minister of t.nadu.!!!

[Sir] EVR started the Dravidian Movement by practicing Hindu Atheism. He took Hindu Atheism to bring up the downtrodden people of TN. To achieve this, he also advocated hatred towards Brahmins, as he believed; they are minority in Hindu and soft. So, during his life time, whenever there was a soft government in power, his followers never missed an opportunity to fool and make the Brahmins as BALI – KHADA under one pretext or other. They created situations and displayed their belief by defaming the Brahmins and Hindu Gods.
Other Hindus watched this helplessly as they all including Brahmins were stunned and confused by the vigorous onslaught of modernization. Part of Periyar Paasarai deserted and left him to pursue their political agenda. Periyar described them as “Kanneer Thuligal” but saw to it that no one from the Hindus challenges them from capturing the power in TN. It was also a larger plan to make Dravidian Movement both ruling and as well as opposition in the Govt. in TN.
Now his DK is a spent force and holding huge financial power. Therefore some activities are required to be done to spend the huge wealth left over. More over the wealth is increasing multi fold due to rise in value and in democracy you need to keep everything properly as per rules. They are also ready to be used by anybody for a price. Other Abrahamic religions are fighting with each other and their immediate need is more man power. Harvesting will be easy and quick if agents take up internal demolition work. That is what the Srirangam Drama!!!!!
But now look at the DMK scenario. The CM who never even uttered a word of sympathy in earlier attacks, is now sympathetic and ordered stern action on both sides. They are also part of Central Govt and they knew how important now to be looked as Indian. A welcome change in the Dravidian Political spectrum. Let us also examine what is good to us?

I do not see anything wrong in that. I do not believe MK did anything wrong by announcing the cash award. I believe such prizes and awards will motivate other youngsters to excel in sports. Reg Shanthi's case, I beleive MK did it in good faith and we cant fault him for that. If Shanthi is stripped of the medal because she failed the tests it is the fault of the Indian authorities who should have conducted these tests before the sports meet. Let us not try to find fault or assign ulterior motives for everything that MK does or doesnt. Sure, if there is something that is definitely wrong we can always comment on that. In short let us not be like the DK/DMK brigade and be different.

SIR- My sympathies are with shanthi. at the same time, we must respect international rules and regulations. the problem for dmk chief minister is that the organisers of asiad games were all non brahmins! had there been aleast 1 brahmin there, he would have said 'santhi is a poor tamil girl victimised by 'avaals'!! i think 15 lakhs is a very high amount when you consider the fact that asian standards are not as high as international standards. the questions are - was shanthi ignorant of international rules? were offcials in t.nadu unaware of international regulations? did shanthi's coach and indian sports authorities knowingly sent shanthi? the entire episode has generated india a very bad name at internatonal level. i think the dmk chief minister should have suspended the award announed by govt., and instead he could have given cash award out of his own pocket or out of party funds. the t.nadu govt. of course could have released cash award after shanthi is cleared.

Agreed that the Shanthi Episode is a sensitive one, and we need not cause more embarrassment to somebody who is already greatly embarrassed due to her (his?) private details becoming public.
However, what amazes me is something else:
The "Gender Test" team consisting of a Gynecologist (to examine the physical features), an Endocrinologist (to examine the hormonal features), a Chromosomal Expert (to see whether she / he is XX or XY or XXY-Klinefelter Syndrome), and a Psychologist (for counselling), have all vehemently pronounced that she (he?) does not have the characteristics of a woman.
It appeared so obvious from the beginning, that it was actually some of Shanthi's lady athlete colleagues, who went and complained about this to the organizers, because of which the gender test ensued.
Such being the case, didn't the lady (man?) know, that she (he?) is doing something fundamentally dishonest? Even if she (he?) were so naive that she did not know the difference between a man and a woman, how come her coaches, doctors, physicians etc., from T.N. have all "managed not to know" the facts. Doesn't it look abnormal?
Shanthi should have been left in silence. But Honourable Chief Minister of T.N. seems to have taken it to the other extreme by giving her a cash-award, something that was intended to make her a "role-model" or something. I saw a doctor from that camp justifying the whole episode by saying, "look, she is so poor!".
What the heck? A poor lady does not know that she is (or is not) a lady?

SIR - i entirely agree with kspv!! newspaper reports say shanthi was even refused a job in southern railway because of gender problem. so shanthi,her coach, t.nad sports officials and indian sports officials, all must have had prior knowledge about this gender problem. still they have sponsored shanthi upto international levels and earned a bad name for india. the dmk chief minister of t.nadu, flabbergasted and dumbfounded at the turn of events has adamantly refused to change his stand and gifted tax payer money 15 lakhs to shanthi! of course the dmk chief minister may tearfully justify his action giving some laughable excuse. but here is a lesson for all govts- do not announce cash award hastily for any player like t.nadu C.M.! wait till all tests upto as mandated by international regulations are conducted and final results announced. or else you may have to emerge with eggs on your face like dmk t.nadu govt.!!!

SIR - Dmk chief minister of t.nadu proudly boasts that he filed nomination as a candidate for 1967 assembly elecions during rahukalam. he inagurated a function on 17 12 2006 sunday in villupuram to release doles out of tax payers money during rahu kalam! again he boasted about this during the function itself. as far as i know, it is a practice among hindus not to do anything auspicious during rahu kalam. a politician files nominations to win elections, come to power and loot public money. a politician releases doles out of tax payers money for cheap publicity. both of them are definitely not auspicious things for anybody. so these things can be inagurated during rahu kalam itself. then why the empty boast about not respecting rahu kalam???
sir - DMK chiefminister of t.nadu Mr.M. karunanidhi has been irresponsibly releasing all sorts of doles like rice, gas, land to people out of tax payers money. at this rate, the treasury may soon become empty. when AIADMK ruled t.nadu from 2001 may to 2006 may, dmk always complained about quality of administration. but the fact that dmk manages to release so much of doles clearly shows that the fiancial position of t.nadu was fairly good and dmk did inherit a healthy treasury from AIADMK in may 2006. otherwise it would not be possible for dmk to release so much doles in such a short time! because there has not been any magical improvement in position of treasury since dmk came to power. the central govt,. has also not helped much financially. but i am sure soon, the treasury will become empty as it was during may 2001 when dmkgovt. vacated office in t.nadu!!!
SIR - It is strange to see dmk t.nadu govt. tearfully beg the kerala govt.on the mullaiperiyaru river issue. even the supreme court has ruled in favour of t.nadu. but kerala has adamantly refused to obey supreme court. both at t.nadu and at central level communists are in alliance with dmk. inspite of this, the talks between t.nadu and kerala have failed. just like in cauvery river issue, during 1970s , when the then dmk chief minister of t.nadu, M. Karunanidhi withdrew case against karnataka govt.in supreme court under pressure from indira gandhi and allowed karnataka go build more dams and store more water detrimental to interests of t.nadu farmers, the present situation should not be allowed t go out of control.
[SIR - Maruthi says Dr. ambedkar is better than the periar and the karunanidhi. i think this could be due to the fact that ambedkar was educated, whereas the periar and the karunanidhi were not.but if maruthi reads dr. arunshourie's 'worshipping false gods' he will probably say that ambedkar was worse than the periar and the karunanidhi!!!
SIR - i strongly oppose move by dmk govt. of t.nadu to impose tamil as a language in high court in t.nadu. most of the lawyers, litigants and judges are versed with english version of law only. it will be very diffcult for people if tamil is imposed like this suddenly for cheap publicity. it is important for Mr. Karunanidhi to taket.nadu upto national and international standard. this move will push tamils away from international and national streams back to the discarded, discredited and dirty cesspool called dravidanaadu!!!

But this might be one of the cause for them to push Tamil. The other and most important cause could be patriotism or being fanatics of Tamil. For example, if you notice a Japanese or Chinese or infact any Asian nation's nationals; they always converse in their tongue and expect a translator to bridge the language gap between them and other foreign nationals.
But adopting such views into our nation would be wrong as 1. it will hinder growth and 2. We have over 700+ documented languages and 800+ dialects in our country to try something like this.
Pushing this bill/law into motion is foolish and stupid.

Practical difficulties in implementation
I think that this is not a 'very bad' move when compared to other activities of the Dravida clan. While i agree that there are practical difficulties in implementing this -
a) Judges should understand tamil
b) Not all Advocates' are natural tamilians
c) Huge task of finding equivalent legal terms &
d) Huge task of translating a settled case in defence / to support the current case
However it should be noted that this will make 'legal remedy' a little more accessible to the rural folk, who till day probably only know "vaida" (adjournment) as the only legal term. In that sense it should be ok. The best way is to make Tamil as an "option" to make pleadings / conduct court proceedings.
Don't know what TN Govt would do but the task of finding equivalent legal terms is not a simple one. Infact the other day i was reading a term called "Arivu saar sothurimai sattam" which after a considerable struggle i could relate to "Intellectual Property Rights".
If unfortunately tamil is made compulsory in court proceedings then the day is not far when all cricketing terms have to be translated - 'periya kaal' for long leg, 'sandu' for gully etc....
Passion for language shouldn't become fanatical.

SIR- I thank maruthi, rajiv and hariharan for responding to my posting. i disagree that ambedkar is greater than gandhiji. no chance!! gandhiji was the greatest of all- no doubt about that!!! but i agree ambedkar is 1000 times better than the periar and the karunanidhi! may be in some ways even better than nehru!!! i agree with the view of rajiv and hariharan on dmk t.nadu govt. imposing tamil in high court.

[SIR- When maruthi is referring to 'gandhi', which gandhi is he meaning? therer are so many 'gandhis' in india!! but the real gandhi was the mahatma! all others - feroz, indira, rajiv, sanjay, sonia, priyanka and rahul - are all fake gandhis!!! many people were fooled by the antics of these fake gandhis! but nobody can be fooled by a mahatma!!!
SIR - I strongly condemn hyporcrisy of t.nadu CPI leadersl like so called D. Raja. they abuse even freedom fighters like mangal pandey just because these freedom fighters are brahmins. but these CPI Leaders(?) who cannot win even in a single ward election in t.nadu on their own,do not have any qualms about falling at the feet of brahmin jayalalitha just for the sake of few votes and seats which will help them retain their status as a 'national party'(!!!)

I am referring to MK Gandhi who, during Moplah rebellion, supported Muslims who raped and murdered Hindu men, women, and children. He said Muslims were doing their dharma, and HIndu men and women should do their dharma, that of surrendering to them in the name of ahimsa. SIR - Gandhiji may have asked indian govt. to pay pakistan some amount. but i do not think gandhiji applied any violent pressure on then indian govt. in any case, even if gandiji says,why did nehru yield to that pressure? does not nehru have any commonsense of his own?? after all, nehru had disobeyed gandhiji on many matters!!!
