they are BY NO MEANS a word by word translation
since it will become very long and boring.
The punch or impact will be lost completely.
Some of the illustrations are done for the English version
and some others for the Tamil version.
Surely the pictures will match anyone of these two versions.

I just completed my target of 1000 parallel proverbs in Tamil and English in my blog East meets West.
Thanks to Mr. saidevo who posted additional Tamil proverbs in his thread in GD.
He has given me the link for more proverbs. I may take them up later since I am improving two other blogs right now. All these thousand proverbs will appear here with illustrations. You are also welcome to view them in the wordpress blog with out having to wait for 100 days @ 10 proverbs per day
