I wont dominate anyone.

Drawbacks of domination:

1)You age faster
2)You end up doing more work
3)You cant play damsel in distress and little lost girl games
4)How to dominate also yaar..poor husband..isnt two heads better then one?
5)You know I always use this line when I want to get rid of anyone from my clinic who comes for some uncalled-for donation.
I tell them...wait let me call my husband and see if he consents and I will tell them husband didnt consent and they will be "OMG you are a doctor and yet you ask husbands consent?" and I will say "yes i always discuss everything"(but actually i didnt even call my husband I acted as if I am making the call)
You know thats the best way to get rid of anyone..just act like some dumb female who doesnt move unless her husbands consents cos people wont bug you too much.

Legal, tax, inheritance, family becomes an issue without "marriage". The marriage an additional binding (good one when you get old) in the relation.

See I will give you an example how I dont dominate anyone.
When my husband came to view me for arranged marriage that time I was working in a rural set up in the government where I was in charge of the whole unit being the only doc for that area.

So when hubby asked me where do you work and how many docs are there.
I told him ..I am the only one and the next Q he asked me is
" I take it you like to be incharge?"

So I was thinking if I said yes as to appear confident of my job he might think I am dominating person and if said no..he might think I am not capable.
I was caught for an answer.

Then I answered "I have no choice here but to be in-charge cos I am the only doctor and its challenging to be on my own and in that process I learn things fast which I dont think I would have learnt if there were others with me.So it has benefits and also drawbacks"

Then next Q his dad saw the piano at my house and asked me if I play it and I thought "Ok man..this is the time to divert their attention" and I played it for them all sorts of classic songs and they left very very happy.
 
A successful and well-respected female lawyer in the New York Attorney General's Office was suspended for dominating, read about it here.

You know Shri Nara here recently a school teacher was suspended for moonlighting as a escort guy/stripper/private waiter etc etc. It begs the question that if people are professional while they are at work and are good at what they do, then is it ok to let their private lives be just that, private.

Yes Amala, I agree in general, but there are some exceptions I think. School teacher must be one, it could be a distraction with no lessons learned to the children.

In the case of NY lawyer, as long as it is not illegal, what she wants to do for fun must be her business, unless there was any rule against moonlighting.

Every profession needs responsible professional with moral goodness. That ensures moral and secure environment in a office with many people working around him/her. If a responsible person is moonlighting as a escort guy/gal/stripper etc..etc in his/her private, being a teacher, vice president/ C.E.O / Manager etc.of a company, and as any other professional of a reputed organizaition, he/she may sooner or later get the organization's reputation tarnished. As well may at some point of time lead to damage to the company's business activities.

As long as his/her private affairs are not explored by the company some way, he/she is taken for granted for his/her professional expertise. Once his/her private affairs are revealed, that may some way lead to problems to the company, than the company would certainly take such actions against him/her.


AFA I am concerned, I would be supporting such actions taken by the companies/institutions...

I come from the individual freedom side. Corporation have control of my work life, they have no right over my personal life. The days of personal servitude is over. I do agree that even in personal life he must not tarnish the reputation of the employer.

If the employer is engaged in unethical, illegal, or immoral act, the individual has obligation, and responsibility to call attention of others, but has to face the consequence.

If you are in Gujarat and against what Mody wants, you are on your own. But if want a prosperous state with very little corruption it is the place to be. Take your pick.
 
For a long time it was men who were dominating the official world. When women started working actively and progessed to the maximum enterprising skills, have matched themselves with or more better than their male counterparts.

There are certain innate differential gender qualities that nature has instilled in human beings.

Such gender discriminations and easthetic discriminations (lookism, in hiring and cooperation among staff) seem to be prevailing through out the globe among human beings.

I wish, such nonsense should come to cease in near future. Humans are in plenty and their qualities are in multiples. I am scared if such biased opinions would ever come to an end.

I shall atleast positively hope for mutual respect, support, cooperation, love and care to remain intact between humans in their personal life (family).

I observe something fishy in this thread! (may be the effect of watching too many MONK episodes now, in the US)

We all know that any member can change his / her avtar and profile pictures, anytime. But how come, the user name

changes? I remember to have given official date of birth (and gothram also) when I registered, since one person is

supposed to have only one user name in this forum.

For those who need proof: Please refer to post # 382 and # 396. :decision:

Note: Just out of curiosity, I am posting this. No intention to go off track.

Only my Avtar has been changed recently but my user name remains the same from the very begining..

Ravi..dont worry its nothing about us both.
Its just that in both our post we had replied with quote to a particular user who had a different username and now has a slightly different user name and Raji maam just was citing our posts that still had the earlier username of that individual.

I also wish I could shorten my username to just Renuka but dont know how to do it.
