Dear VR ji,
The James Bond character is not married as far as I know.
When men explore the world their wives are busy being explored by other worlds too!LOL
Men brag about their escapades of any kind but women know when silence is the best ornament.

How well you do in your life and career is determined by both. IQ alone is not enough; EQ also matters.
In fact, psychologists generally agree that among the ingredients for success, IQ counts for roughly 10% (at best 25%); the rest depends on everything else — including EQ.
A study of Harvard graduates in business, law, medicine and teaching showed a negative or zero correlation between an IQ indicator (entrance exam scores) and subsequent career success.
Three examples illustrate the importance of emotional competencies.

Dear VR ji,
I have noted that among my friends who are the top guns in out here in their careers in medicine were very average students in college and they had to study real hard to clear any exam and sometimes they even failed but they were determined to try try again. Today they appear almost in every medical journal and are famous even abroad.
I have noted the exposure to some degree of failure during study years is equally important in building EQ and emotional strength.
IQ is just part of getting to college but EQ is what determines the success later in life.
Men brag and feel bloated while women remain silent and serene.![]()

dear Renu,
Who is better qualified in understanding emotions
than the more sensitive women folks!
Yes! we females are the Silent Killers... men will not even know what hit them.
We came..we saw..we deluded!
Dear VR ji,
There used to be a student in my class who is a top shot today out here in the field of ENT.
He was very average in college days and I used to be a top scorer but I am not the ambitious types and did not want to pursue my career that far.I prefer to my job as a mode to generate a decent income and have other interest in life too.
Ok so this is the best part...once I had to see this doc as a patient and I was happy to see him thinking since he was my friend in college it would be easier for me to talk to him.
To my surprise he was actually kind of nervous with me..Whatever questions I asked him regarding my problem he was a bit hesitant to answer.
Then he finally said "you were a much better student than me in college..I am afraid in case you might find some flaw in what I say"
I started laughing and told him "hey you are the top shot today..not me..why do you fear me?"
He said becos "I know that you know I scored less than you in college".
Even though he was such a top doc he seemed to fear a person who scored more than him in college days.
Weird right?
And be ready to be called as Apsara or
something even worse than that! :brick:
Namaste Visalakshi ji,
If I remember it right, you were the one to introduce the concept of 'apsara in the making' in this forum, is it not?![]()
And my dear JR..you marketed it!LOL
Sorry about that.
I'll be glad to be an 'apsara'!![]()
Namaste friends, Visalakshi ji,
I went through the Freedom of expression thread. Maybe it was all a big misunderstanding, but I felt truly sorry for my comments and sentiments expressed there. So a saashtanga namaskara and a sincere, big apology for whatever I expressed there.
