வெள்ளி நாணயங்கள்!


ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் உங்களுக்கு நான்,
ஒவ்வொரு மூட்டைநிறைய நாணயங்கள்,
அள்ளி அள்ளி தினம் தந்திட்டால், நீங்கள்
உள்ளம் மகிழ்ந்து என்ன செய்வீர்கள்?

நான் தரும் நாணயங்கள் மாறுபட்டவை.
நன்றாகச் செலவு செய்ய முடியும், ஆனால்
மாற்றி வேறு யாருக்கும் கொடுக்கவோ, அன்றி
மறுநாள் கணக்கில் சேர்க்கவோ இயலாது!

பயன் படுத்தியே ஆக வேண்டும், உங்களால்
இயன்றவரை. இல்லாவிட்டால் முழுவதுமாய்
மறைந்து விடும் அந்த மாயப் பண மூட்டை;
என்று இருந்தால் நீங்கள் என்ன செய்வீர்கள்?

ஒவ்வொரு வெள்ளி நாணயத்தையும்,
ஒழுங்காக உமக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்ததை,
வாங்கச் செலவு செய்து மனம் மகிழ்வீர் .
வந்ததை வீணாக்க மாட்டீர் அல்லவா?

இறைவன் நமக்கு ஒவ்வொரு நாளும்,
இனிய 86,400 நொடிகள் அளிக்கின்றான்.
நம்மால் அதை மாற்றவும் முடியாது!
நம்மால் அதை சேமிக்கவும் முடியாது!

“ஒரு முறை போனால் போனது தான்!” என்றாலும்
ஓராயிரம் நொடிகளை நாம் வீணடிக்கின்றோம்!
பணம் என்றால் பாங்காக உள்ள எல்லோரும்,
மனம் போலக் காலத்தை விரயம் செய்கின்றோம்!

ஒவ்வொரு நொடியை வீணாக்கும் போதும்,
ஒவ்வொரு நாணயம் உருண்டோடுவது போல;
எண்ணிப் பார்த்தால் உண்மை விளங்கும்,
எண்ணுவோம், நொடிகளையும் வீணாக்காமல்!

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
 விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி
 
SILVER COINS.

Suppose I present you with a bagful of silver coins everyday, what will you do? The coins I give you are different .

You may spend them to your heart’s delight but you can not save them nor can you transfer them to the next day’s account. Either you use them or lose them – as the unspent money will disappear into thin air!

What will you under these circumstances?

You will be careful to spend each coin well and intelligently, in getting the things you cherish most. You won’t want to waste the coins or lose them for ever!

God gives each and every one of us, everyday, a wonderful bag containing 86,400 precious seconds. We can spend them but we can neither transfer them nor save them. Time wasted is lost for ever!

Yet how many seconds, minutes and hours we just waste everyday! We are extremely careful not to waste even one rupee but we never bother about the 1000s of seconds we waste just like that!

If we imagine a silver coin rolling away from our collection every time we waste a second, we will realize the value of time and use it wisely.

சிலசமயங்களில் அழும் விலங்குகளும்;

சிரித்து வாழ வேண்டும்; ஆனால் பிறர்
சிரிக்கும்படி நாம் வாழக் கூடாது.
சிரிப்பது சுலபம், மிக எளிது, ஆனால்
சிரிக்க வைப்பது கடினம், மிகக் கஷ்டம்.

மகிழ்ச்சியை நாம் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டால்,
மகிழ்ச்சி பலமடங்காகப் பெருகும் ;
அழுகையைப் நாம் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டால்,
அழுகை, படிப்படியாகக் குறையும்.

உலகில் பிறக்கும் போது ஒருவன்,
அழுது கொண்டு பிறப்பான்; ஆனால்
உறவினர்கள் அனைவரும் மிகவும்
ஆனந்தமாய் சிரிப்பார், மகிழ்வார்.

வாழ்வாங்கு வாழ்ந்தபின் ஒருவன்
சிரித்துக்கொண்டே செல்ல வேண்டும்.
ஆழ்ந்த துயரில் அவன் சுற்றம், நண்பர்
சிந்த வேண்டும் கண்களின் அருவி.

பிறப்பிலும் சரி, இறப்பிலும் சரி,
மகிழ்ச்சியும் சரி, அழுகையும் சரி;
இடம் மாறி, மாறி, நம்மிடம் பலவித
வேடிக்கைகள் காட்டும் உலகினில்.

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
 விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.
 
LAUGHTER AND TEARS.

Animals too are capable of shedding tears! We all have heard about the ‘crocodile tears’ and witnessed the shedding of tears by cows, calves and elephants.

Laughter is very infectious. Laughter causes more laughter. We can’t help laughing when we see someone bursting with laughter!

When a person laughs his / her mind blooms, his / her face shines with mirth and he /she becomes very beautiful to look at.

We can cause laughter – but we should refrain from becoming the cause of laughter – or laughing stocks.

It is very easy to laugh but it is very difficult to make people laugh. Any successful comedian will confirm the accuracy of this statement.

When we share laughter and mirth, they get multiplied and magnified. When we share tears and sorrow, they get divided and diminished.

When a baby is born into the world, it cries loudly and all the others beam with joy and laughter.

But when a person leaves the world, he /she should be laughing while the others around should shed bitter tears.

Laughter and tears play a very vital role in our everyday life in the forms of happiness and sorrow.

முனிவரும், நாகமும்.


அரும் தவ முனிவர் ஒரு முறை கண்டார்,
கரு நிற நாகம்! கண்டவர்கள் ஓடும் படியாக;
எதிர்ப்பட்டவரை எல்லாம் துரத்தித் துரத்தி,
எதிப்பவர்களைக் கடித்துக் கொல்லும் நாகம்!

“உயிர்க்கொலை பாபம், நீ தவிர்ப்பது நலம்,
உயிரைப் பறிக்கும் படிக் கடிக்காதே”, என்று
நல்ல வார்ததைகள் கூறிய முனிவர் பின்னர்,
செல்லலானார் அவர் தம் வழியிலே.

மறுமுறை முனிவர் அவ்வழி வந்த போது ,
மண்டிய புண்களுடன் குற்று உயிராகி விட்ட,
நாகத்தைக் கண்டு மிகவும் வருந்தி வினவினர்,
“நன்றாக இருந்த நீ ஏன் இப்படி ஆகிவிட்டாய்?”

“உங்களால் எனக்கு ஏற்பட்டது இந்த கதி!
ஊராரை நான் கடிக்கவில்லை என்பதால்,
சின்னப் பிள்ளை முதல் பெரியவர்கள் வரை,
இன்னல் தந்ததால் காயம் அடைந்தேன்”.

“கடித்து கொல்ல வேண்டாம் என்று சொன்னேன்.
சீறி பயமுறுத்த வேண்டாம் என்று சொன்னேனா ?
அடி படாமல் காத்து கொள்ள நீ சீறத்தான் வேண்டும்.
சீறினால் தான் நாகம், சீறாவிட்டால் வெறும் கயிறு”

முனிவன் சொன்னது இப்போது புரிந்தது.
சினந்த நாகம் சீறியே தன்னை பிறரின்,
கல்லடிகளில் இருந்தும், தடி அடிகளில் இருந்தும்,
காத்துக் கொண்டு பின் நெடுநாள் வாழ்ந்தது

A SAINT AND A SERPENT.

A saint was walking through a village. He was horrified to see a black cobra which killed everyone in the village, who dared to cross its path!

He told the cobra,” Killing is a sin! It should be avoided at all costs. Do not kill any one in the future with your poisonous fangs”.

The saint happened to pass through the same village some time later. Now he was shocked to see the cobra with many bleeding wounds on it s body – scarcely alive! He asked it what had caused such a state of affairs?

The snake replied, “It was because I listened to your advice and stopped killing people. They became very bold and started hitting me with sticks and stones – reducing me to this miserable condition!”

The saint replied, “I told you not to bite them. I never said you should not hiss to frighten them. You will be considered a snake only as long as you hiss.

Otherwise you will be considered no better than a mere rope. One should not give up totally his inherent swabhaavam”.

The snake understood the saint’s message rightly this time. He hissed to frighten away the people who came to hit him with stones or beat him with sticks.

He lived for several years without killing anyone in the village and also without getting hit by them.

One should never give up one’s natural disposition completely and become vulnerable in the eyes of the others.

செல்லும் இடங்களில் எல்லாம்
அன்பைப் பரப்புவார் ஒரு ஞானி.

மனதை அடக்கி மாதவம் செய்து,
ஞானி ஆவது மிகவும் கடினம்;
மன இருள் அகற்றி கள்ளமில்லாக்
குழந்தை போல ஆவது மிகவும் எளிது!

வஞ்சனையும் சூதும் இன்றியே,
வையகம் வாழ்ந்து மகிழ்ந்திட;
நாம் பிஞ்சுக் குழந்தைகள் போல,
நம் நெஞ்சினை மாற்றிடுவோம்.

பஞ்சம் இல்லாத அன்பை நம்
நெஞ்சில் விதைத்து, விளைத்து,
கனிவு கொண்டு மகிழ்ந்தவாறே,

THE INNOCENT AND THE ENLIGHTENED.

A Gnaani and a baby are both good natured and sweet tempered. They are not subjected to any delusions and confusions.

The child is sweet since it completely innocent, ignorant and knows nothing . Gnnani is sweet since he knows everything.

Neither the baby nor the Gnnani has any thoughts related to “I” and “Mine”.These two qualities bring a lot of joy in our lives.

The baby forgets its anger within seconds and smiles sweetly. The Gnaani will never get angry for any reason.

The one whom the whole world loves is a baby. The one whom the whole world respects is s Gnaani.

The baby wins over the love of everyone it meets. The Gnaani wins over the respect of everyone he meets.

The baby spreads happiness wherever it goes. The Gnaani spreads knowledge wherever he goes.

For ordinary people, it is very difficult to control the mind, do penance and become a Gnaani. But giving up Ego and Pride and becoming child-like in the heart is much more easier.

Let us all become lovely and lovable like children. Let us give up pride and ego. Let us become humble and simple like the children and and live happy and peaceful lives.
 
It is then that people become jealous and possessive.

They try to destroy the object of their love- since they can't stand the very thought that someone ELSE will enjoy that - which he was not able to get!

TRUE LOVE MUST BE ABLE TO FIND JOY IN THE HAPPINESS OF THE LOVED ONE! :thumb:

And the bravest are not afraid to love again and again and again and again an again..
Give them hints when you want to love again..sing this song so they will get the idea..

I wonder if you are referring to my post? If you are then I will let you know a little secret about me..I have holy moods and also crazy moods.
So now I am in crazy mood..when I get the holy mood I will post bhajans etc and when I am in crazy mood I will post something controversial or funny.
Sometimes I also get scared of myself!!! LOL

anyway my motto in life is simple..just have fun and never forget God!!

child, it lays dormant initially but springs up as the child grows. This ,then, becomes
the cause for grief later and avidya.
 
The causes are different but the effect is the same!

The vaasanaas are inactive in both the baby and the Gnaani.

In the baby they lie dormant - waiting to emerge as the baby grows up.

In the Gnaani the vaasanaas are dead and gone.

மணக்க மணக்க உண்டபின், ருசி நாவிலும்,
மணம் கையிலும், நெடு நேரம் தங்கிவிடும்.

அனுபவித்த பொருட்களின் பலவிதத் தாக்கம்,
மனதினில் மாறாமல் நிலை கொண்டிருக்கும்.

நமக்கு பிடித்த பொருட்களில், நமக்கு ருசி;
நமக்கு அவை வேண்டுமென்ற அவா, வாசனை.

RUCHI AND VAASANAA.

Tastes and smells are essential in our food items. Only then we can relish and enjoy what we eat. The taste and the smell of the food we eat linger on in our hands, mouth and mind for a long time, after we finish eating!

The mental recordings of all our experiences linger on in our minds forming our Ruchi (our likes ) and Vaasanaa
(our aptitudes). Our future births are decided by our Ruchi and Vaasanaa we have now.

We find that our children have an aptitude for music or for dancing or for writing or for acting. Some of these aptitudes are inexplicable – since there is no family history or connection to these arts!

The how and from where do they develop such tastes and likes?

It is because the mental recordings of their previous births follow them to their present births. We must develop good tastes and good aptitudes.

They are useful not only in this birth but also in all our future births.
