Thillana (also called tillana) is a rhythmic piece in Carnatic music, based on the Hindustani tarana, generally performed at the end of a concert and widely used in dance performances. A thillana uses taal-like phrases in the pallavi and anupallavi, and lyrics in the charanam.(Source: Wikipedia)

"There is a special manifestation of God's power in a man who has any outstanding gift, such as proficiency in music."
- Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

"Whatever thing is glorious, excellent or preeminent, verily, know that is born of a portion of My splendor."
- Bhagawad Gita

P.S:
Classical Music (Indian/Western) has got such a soothing effect on the mind; at once the person forgets all his/her worries/problems and finds himself/herself at Peace. Even a person bent on committing suicide/murder will reconsider his/her decision.
