Ingredients

  • 1 medium karela, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of sugar

Method

  • Apply salt on karela and keep aside for 10 mins
  • Squeeze the water slightly out of it
  • Take oil in a vessel, saute karela slices till golden brown
  • Then add onions and saute till pink
  • Add tomato and all other ingredients and cook till done
  • Serve with roti
