If you dissect our emotions we can feel no difference in love for parents and spouse.

Mostly think its different becos we screw spouse!LOL
I am putting it differently. Yes you screw spouse and so you get a differently nuanced emotions for your spouse. One who finds it difficult to differentiate between the nuances will definitely at least find at the gross level the difference of screwing

Mostly people think Eka Patni Vrat men love their spouse but polygamous men dont.

The truth is we humans love others in order to love ourselves the most.

Some Eka Patni Vrat boast about being sans lust but might make the worst husbands.

Some polygamous males keep all wives well.

Bajirao loved both Kashibai and Mastani.
He was a good husband to both.

I dont want to name the person but there are some Eka Patni types who do not even acknowledge the existence of their spouse in the quest to lead a country.

So its hard to generalize.

Ravana had a harem..he desired Seeta yet never illtreated Mandodari.

Sage Yajnavalkya too had 2 wives..he loved them both...Maitreyi was his intellectual equal and his 2nd wife.

Renuka,

There are examples contradicting the generality. But we are talking about what is in general the truth.

The Truth is there are multiple ways..
Ekam Sat..Viprah Bahuda Vadanti.

For a monogamist..one spouse is his/her version of Truth.

For a polygamist/polyandrist...multiple spouses is his/ her version of Truth.

So if you dont relate to polygamy..so be it..remain a monogamist but that does not mean a polygamist is in untruth.

We choose what suits our ability..there is no right or wrong.
There are only paths that all lead to love of SELF.

Of course Renuka ,I fully consent with the argument that there are multiple ways to truth but truth is one.
