Is it time to sub-divide the Tamil Brahmin community?

This is arrogance of the highest order. If settling in U S is a measure of success I would happily call myself a failure.

I am not disgruntled. I am just trying to show these wolves under sheep's skin to the world. The injustice done to me and to lakhs or millions of others should not continue.

They don't even spare nations for that matter. They will feel the fear of God soon.
Issue is evidently with you Sri Sravna. You hasten to misinterpret and misunderstand posts. You hasten to commit assault and battery irrationally. Success and Failure are relative. Definitions for Success and Failure galore, vary. Settling in the USA, or for that matter in any country relatively foreign to India, is certainly not a measure of success or parameter for success in life. Neither is it failure in life. But getting admission in MIT or Harvard or Yale or any University in the USA is certainly a success as much as getting admitted in IITs or IIMs is. I trust you will agree on this.

I trust you are aware that Mr Venu Srinivasan, CEO of TVS Industries, when studying MBA in the USA, earned to support his studies by selling Bibles in and around the town where he had boarded himself. Perhaps you are aware it is most difficult to sell Bible in USA than in India. It is easy to sell Bagwad Gita in the USA than selling Bibles. It mandates immense marketing skills. No wonder Mr Venu Srinivasan is a successful businessman. Here who is selling Bibles to whom!!! Mr Venu remains an orthodox iyengar to this day. He never allowed his western education to influence or dictate his personal faith.

Adopting a culture is strictly an individual's choice inspired by personal likes and dislikes.

Probably you had a bitter experience with some individuals in the USA. I can empathize with you. Even I was victim of bias. But a few individuals are not representative or sample of a large group. Perhaps you are holding a prejudice.

'Wolf-in-sheep's-skin' is a metaphor used by Jesus as mentioned in the Bible, to refer to false prophets among the Jews, who were deceiving and leading astray the gullible and vulnerable laymen in Israel causing them to fall. There are wolves in sheep's skin in every pseudo-spiritual group. Look at the numerous fake, saffron clad self-proclaimed god-men and god-women in India, in TN especially, the 'Babaa's , the 'nandhaa's , the 'ini's, the 'mayi's etc.

There are numerous God-fearing men and women in the USA and Europe also, who are committed to serve God diligently as prescribed by their scriptures, men and women of exemplary character, conduct and virtue, who have tremendously impacted numerous lives. Martin Luther (Reformation Leader), Martin Luther King Jr, Billy Graham, Kathryn Kuhlman, Joyce Meyer, Charles Finney, Smith Wigglesworth, John Wesley to name a few.

Undeniably impositions were there by some groups but they fell by the wayside and they never prevail.

Returning to the context of this thread, further sub-dividing TB sects following TB men and women crossing caste-floor and religion-floor is not warranted nor mandated. It would only complicate matters, would further mess up an already messed up ground beyond scope of clearance.

Live and let those married across caste and religion also live. After all they are also human beings like you and I. They have right to live on this earth as much as you and I have.

You do your sandhyavandhanam diligently, I will do mine and they will do theirs.

"Edhu nadandhadho adhu nandraagave nadandhadhu. Edhu nadakkumo adhu nandraagave nadakkum"

Shri GS,

Let me clarify your statement that I had a bitter experience in the U.S. It was more eye opening than bitter. At a time when I had placed my highest respects for the U.S. I was jolted to reality by a few events. I will share them when appropriate.

I do not deny that getting a seat in MIT or Harvard is a commendable achievement. But it is still an academic achievement. Just because you accomplished that does not let you grow two horns and dictate things to others.

There are innumerable people from India and other countries who are equally gifted but bereft of opportunities or guidance and hence resigned to a lesser glory.

There are indeed men and women of exemplary character in the U.S. and so also in other countries. My point is, that being the case why would call yourself exceptional and do things that others would shudder to do.
What gives you that extra right? to degrade and humiliate and kill others. Just because you have men of exemplary character and intelligence?

Kindly let them come out of that grandiose illusion of exceptionalism and they will get their due respect.

The events that would jolt you to reality of the USA are not 'few' but countless. I have more reasons than you to paint the ugliest picture of the USA. The founders of the USA, George Washington et al, are men of great virtue, who sacrificed their everything, who laid noble principles as foundation to found and establish the USA. They were the source of inspiration for other leaders who followed. But over the centuries, especially post second world war there was undeniably a decline, decay and degeneration in the US society, in their culture etc. The super-power status has bloated their ego no doubt, caused in some of their leaders a condescending attitude, causing them to assume world-police disguise.

There are critics within the USA itself, native Americans, citizens of US who spare no words, who condemn this psuedo-tyrannic attitude of the modern US leaders in such degradable terms none can match.

However this is a topic for discussion perhaps in another thread which may be opened for this purpose exclusively. I do not wish to digress from the topic of this thread.

The power and the resources they have are blinding them. It could be used in a constructive way but they chose the destructive path.

Now it looks like they are on the decline and will be reduced to ordinariness if they continue on this path.
