Indian man writes to PM, predicts 'massive quake and tsunami' by December; Pakistan starts preparing

Nov, 06 2017 20:32:19 IST

An Indian man's prediction of a catastrophic tsunami and earthquake by the end of this year in the Indian Ocean has Pakistan's intelligence agencies in a flutter, according to several media reports.
In a letter to Indian prime minister Narendra Modi in September, the man, who claims to have extrasensory perception, said a massive earthquake and tsunami could hit by December and affect seven Asian countries, The Deccan Chronicle reported.

The man, Babu Kalayil, who claims to be the director of BK Research Association for ESP (Extrasensory Perception and Space Prediction), said that according to the observations he made in August, a massive earthquake could trigger a tsunami which would affect India, China, Japan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and some Gulf countries before 31 December 2017, The Indian Express reported.
The letter even led to Pakistani's Inter-Services Intelligence to issue a warning to Pakistan’s Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (ERRA) of a strong underwater quake and/or tsunami event, theExpress Tribune reported, quoting a report by BBC Urdu.
According to the report, another letter shows the ERRA acting deputy chairman allegedly directing that standard operating procedures (SOPs) be prepared on the matter.
Express Tribune reported that the ERRA letter read stated: "An Information Report has been received from DG, Inter-Services Intelligence [ISI] that there is, reportedly, a likelihood of a large-scale earthquake, as being expected, in the Indian Ocean in near future which may vigorously shake the Asian continental areas, including Pakistan. There is, therefore, a need to sensitise concerned departments to be on the vigil and take care of any natural disaster."
"The SOPs will be put up to ERRA's acting deputy chairman by Monday, 6 November 2017," the letter further added

Simple truth is life is destined to follow the route already prescribed at the time of birth. Why should we blame Government for every thing. Why can't people organise groups in advance to face adverse eventualities.
