"In one of his quotes, Bagavan Ramakrishnar has mentioned that - Lot of Birds are
sitting on a Tree. As soon as we clap our hands, all the birds will soon fly away. Like that
if we mention Lord's Prayer with devotion, all our sins will go away.
There is another story. A Lady used to give milk to a Saint who stays beyond the banks
of a river. One day suddenly, there was a heavy flood. When she chanted that Saint's name,
it appears that river gave way to her. As usual, she went and give him milk.
The saint asked as how you crossed the river. She at once without any hesitation mentioned
that I just said your name and the river gave way to me. On hearing that version, the Saint
said to himself "do I have so much powers". He just wanted to know whether that power is
really true or false. The test what he wanted to do was whether his leg stays over water.
He went down to the river, chanting his name, he stepped into the river. While he is doing so,
he further felt that suppose if he steps in and he is pulled in water what to do. He just raised
his Dhoti over his leg, the leg dipped into the water and did not stay over the water surface.
He then just concluded that one who has faith in the Name of God, will survive just like that
lady who gave milk to him. Saint told himself that one should have complete faith in the Nama
of God and not like him who has not submerged himself completely in the God's Nama.
