I have been doing service in a christian online prayer group for years and someday it includes quotes from Gandhi and Bhagavad Geetha. Also the Leader tells me he is a Great follower of Hinduism ,Vedas, and Brahmin Lifestyle. But I think I cannot express myself fully there. I do Pooja Daily and visit temple multiple times a week, but that is always conflicting with what i do with the group. Sometime i feel like the Leader always makes me read some sort of prayers that are clearly christian and i feel all those are coercion tactics to Literally Convert me to a Christian without actually doing it. If i try to stay away from service he will indirectly force me through his minions (mostly hindus) to get back and do the service. Its very shady but the only thing that giving me power nowadays was the strong "sanskrit slogans" that i used throughout my life..
are christian conversions a real thing?

Yes , He scolded me many times for not attending them. He says its is not religious and Secular in nature but its many ways Religious including the use of words and numbers and everything related to christianity. I am now not attending those meetings now for more than a week ,still now no messages came but the thing is the leader is making others to call me and i feel guilty for not attending them. He know i am a hindu and a strong believer of Hinduism and visit temple daily but somehow He is having this deadlines like a boss. I dont know how spirituality is connected with work. but yeah i think like you asked? why should i take his calls? I can block my number.right? but what if i have no clear idea that he is even religious ? whatever i will continue visiting my temple and praying my ishta devata everyday.

It seems to me that you are " trapped" in a loop that keeps replaying the same scenario endlessly and you arent even aware you are in the loop.
If I were you, I would ask myself these questions?
1) Am I answerable to any of them?
2) Who are they to me that I have to take orders from them?
3) Who are they to brainwash me into thinking what they do is secular.
4) Honestly, these people arent even true to their religion..Jesus never preached through deceit or brainwashing like these guys.
5)Just because anyone preaches the Gita or any other religious text that doesnt make them saints..a lot of frauds are well versed in some shlokas or two and the rest of people who didnt read up think they are learned.
Time for you to get out of the loop of delusion...and not fear them as if they are blackmailing you or holding you ransom for some help rendered to you before by them..if you owe them nothing..then just tell them to get lost.
Thanks Ji, I am away from it for quite sometime and i think its a little bit cult like group. And like you said I always had the choice to bring me up there even if coercion is present. So I need to reflect on that primarly. What making me feel insecure for not acting secular infront of others. I am not answerable to any of them but they act like i am doing some wrong if i skip my usual routine of service or attendance. They play with my Financial insecurity a great deal, I also had similar experiance with Muslims as well. Their preaching of "god is truth" is like so shady to me. "because once they convince you god is truth" they will start to convince you the bigger truth is theirs and we can easily understand that by challenging their version of truth, they will lose their temper so fastly. So Like u said they know the game and they are using christianity as a Tool, No offence to Jesus Christ but i had seen a lot of chrsitians claiming jesus as the greatest businessman world has ever seen.. so such mindset is so active among certain christians and yeah in hindus as well there are people who are lustfull for money and control ,and bringing Jesus chrsit to the equation is not right way to do it. The only thing i will demand if i want to continue is that I want to have complete sessions for teaching bhagavad geetha or else i am out of it forever.
They surely want you to preach the Gita ..thats the only way you would be part of their plan.
To sound more secular, why not confuse all of them and talk about the works of Ibn Arabi...

1. Your Lord Jesus prayed to the Father that you all may be one. Are you all truly One. Why are there thousand and odd motley crowd of denominations, There are more denominations and divisions than the sand of the seashore. Why?
2. It also written that a Kingdom divided against itself will not stand. Are you guys not fighting against each other claiming who is greatest?
3. During Corona where were you guys the motley crowd of miracle working evangelists hosting mega meetings? Why were you guys like non-christians wearing masks and hiding inside your houses? Millions of christians, tongues-speaking pentecostals died, a greater than million pentecostals all over the world were infected and spend a great deal and got cured. Where went your gifts of healing? Did not your tongues gift save you?

How come God used him mightily than any pentecostals in the world? Why are pentecostals worshipping Billy as demi-god? When Billy gives altar call, hundreds respond. But when you pentecostals give alter call a few repond. Most cases none respond. Why?
12. Lakewood church the largest in the USA, is not pentecostal. Pastor Joel never preaches about tongues. Never did he mention about tongues. Yet Lakewood draws more crowd than pentecostals. How?
Visit Youtube, search for 'Esther Dhanraj' and 'Jerome Anto' and 'Mary Suresh Iyer' and show them all those videos.
Challenge them to perform a miracle in front of your eyes.
Ask them the following questions:
Are you guys following Religion or are you following Truth?
Are you following Jesus or are you following christianity?
Did Jesus preach christianity or did He preach Kingdom of Heaven?
Did Jesus convert anyone from another religion to christianity?
Those of you from some sort of a christian background who claim to be born again from some sort of a christian background, have you left your European and American traditions completely? Where in the Bible is mention of christmas, good friday, easter etc? Does any of you know how Good Friday date is determined?
Many guys will run away.
There are many more questions those guys will never answer.
Please provide your feedback after asking them all the above questions.

ok this is good collection of questions especcially the one that says abt truth. If i ask something like this he will probably cutoff the phone or act like i made a mistake for questioning his faith. And the last one abt leaving traditions , also i think the brahmasthra will be like questuning him abt his purity or claim abt himself. He claim himself as a Saviour of Mankind and i learned him now, he is some chronic condition of Altruistic Narcissism and there is no cure for him
Also I just now recieved a call from his minion who is a hindu, his dad was died recently and i feel sad for him. But this Christian guy even became angry at me for not calling him and chekcing on him.Mainly this guy believes he is the controller of all the positivity happening around world and if he is not vigilant everyone will lose their Gods presence.. So delusional he is..but yeah he is sick and no one can help him..he wil continue doing it even if i ask question but i will ask some of this questions for sure

his assistant calling me all the time and i am going to block him because i am starting to understand that because of my insecurities they are exploiting me. If i block them they will never call me but i cant because i have this feeling they are right in someway which is exactly due to the way i engaged with their activitie for past 9 years. so yeah..i need to go thorugh sometime keep praying my ishta devata, hearing hindu mantras and prayers ,going to temples, doing poojas, paying for temple actvities are all the ways i can reconncet with my roots

So i guess that you are divided yourself if you want to follow christianity or hinduism.
No way, They present themselves as a srcular group ..which has nothing to do with religion. They offer freedom from all addictions, so i know in Hinduism one should always try to get free from (kama, krodha and lobha) .This group guarantees all that and also secular in nature, built up on many concepts from 12 steps and positive pyschology and from oxford religious conventions but not 12 step or psychological or religious completely. Its Judeo-Christian and also claim Jesus and gandhi and bob wilson as messiahs. It feels so confused and thats why i joined it because it sees gandhi as some sort of prophet and bhagavad geetha as a path to life. But Its extreme and radical at times and leaning towards christianity many times which made me paranoid abt its real intentions. but the leader of the group questions me and said that i am paranoid and i need tretment for paranoia and delusion.

Most probably he belongs to one of the rebellious denominations within christianity itself namely Jehova Witness or Mormons or Seventh Day Adventist or Bible Students. Need not fear them. They are barking dogs which do not bite.
I am now free from it and i had never minded 2 calls from them they will continue it, i just keep on ignoring them. Its radical in nature so i should better keep myself away from it.thanks for your help and all others in the forum. i will continue posting updates .

Don't leave them alone. Threaten those rascals that you will complain to RSS saying that those guys are forcibly trying to convert others to christianity either by coercion or allurement or threat of divine displeasure. They will shudder and shiver and prostate before you and beg you to spare them. Thereafter you are their master and they would be your slaves. They will be terrified at the very mention of your name. Your very presence in their midst will terrorize them.
of course, as i am surrounded by cult members when i stay away from service. I am planning to bring thier website down.

I've come to realize that my deep involvement with this group was partly motivated by a search for love and acceptance that I felt was missing from my family. The group recognized this unmet need and provided me with emotional support and financial help, portraying it all as genuine affection.
Initially, I believed their intentions were pure. However, I eventually understood that they were using my family's perceived lack of love for me as a way to promote their Christian message and isolate me from my existing relationships. I fell for this strategy, which created a strong emotional and financial dependency.
The dynamics changed once they knew they had my full commitment and I had distanced myself from my family. They began treating me with the same indifference and disrespect I was trying to escape. This confirmed for me that their tactics were a form of manipulation and mind control. When I confronted the leader, he deflected responsibility, reminding me that the resources I had (phone, money) were ultimately dependent on him. This experience was very upsetting, and I realized I needed to step away.
Unfortunately, distancing myself from the group has brought renewed friction with my mother. She seems to disapprove of my religious practices, believing I am not "pure" enough to engage in them. I recall her making me feel guilty about doing pooja or vratha even when I was a child. I believe this strong, negative reaction to religious life might be tied to her own childhood traumas or anxieties, leading to what feels like a constant atmosphere of accusation and guilt...

whatever their intention was, the fact is you have come to realize that depending on others be it family or outsiders for our own peace is never a good idea...at the same time its also a catalyst for spiritual growth.
Sometimes harsh situations awaken us faster than all sugar and spice and everything nice.
Take it as the karmic lesson you had to learn in life to depend ONLY on God.
Its not a good idea to provoke Vinayak ji now.
Its best to let him iron out situations in his life.
