Dear VR ji,

That part is not too elaborate here.

Its a face to face argument.

But somehow Sita seems to be not too confident of herself.

She keeps saying she is wife of Rama,DIL of Dasharatha and Daughter of Janaka in her fight with Ravan.

She should have had her own identity Swarnaka style and a say "I am Bond..James Bond" or like how Rajini say 'I am Basha..Manick Basha"

One must have one's own identity.
I hate a person who never gives his own name
but always introduces himself as
'Ambi's thambi' or as 'chinnaa's ANNa'.
They my sound rhyming but are tiring
since that Ambi and Chinaa may have 6 more brothers! :bump2:

there is a law' when something can go wrong ,it will on the day you need it most'

as one grows old there is a need for multiple back ups for contingencies . otherwise we might end up with thayir sadam with yesterdays cooked rice.lol
 
A few years ago flowers were used to decorate the wedding hall and the reception halls at enormous costs.

But it was well worth it since the flowers created a romantic atmosphere with their varied colors, fragrance and coolness.

Later it became a combination of part flowers and part colorful illumination.

Noe it all illumination and no flowers - may be to cut down the cost.

But the romantic atmosphere is missing since

we are reminded of the Niagara falls in illumination.
 
Plastic, nylon, paper, cloth flowers have replace

the jasmines and rose used to decorate the bride.

Now they use matching artificial flowers...

light weight, colorful and permanent.

But will these give the kick the jasmine does??? :rolleyes:
 
Wedding gowns are worn (or supposed to be worn) only once in one's lifetime.

The same thing is happening here-though not realized by many parents.

They buy saris with such heavy brocade that it is fit to be worn only by a bride.

If the girl wears it to another wedding

either she will over shadow the real bride

or be mistaken for the bride of the other wedding!

In delhi diwali is celebrated with chinese use and throw LEDs for lighting outside homes

even ceiling lights for false ceilings , chinese lights with excellent exteriors have flooded the market

indians replace the interiors keeping the beautiful chinese shell ,replace their internal bulbs with havel or osram to make it long lasting .

classic indian jugaad .
 
In Kerala Jewels are lent for wedding to be safely returned after the wedding
hoping that no one will kidnap the lovely bride (with all her jewels)
decked from neck to waist and elbows to wrist in Hallmark gold.
Even for this the parents have to join in the Jewel-chit-fund-scheme
and pay money regularly for several years.
After the wedding the bride can retain her favorite jewels
worth the money paid towards the jewel chit fund.

We Indians are known to re-use, restore, recycle and never ever use-and-throw anything!

most girls and their parents are gold crazy .

jewels worn by girls after display at weddings are safely taken by girls parents and locked away in lockers

what I find ridiculous is they entrust their son in law with their daughters life but not allow him to come near her gold .

they have no priorities as to what is valuable.

My elder sons says that the florists and jewelers come together

and decided most of the special days celebrated in USA.

I am sure he is 100% coerrect! How else can they boost their dull business???
 
One rich family presented the prospective D.I.L with diamond jewels worth several lakhs.

The girl used to come armed to the bedroom with knives and scissors! :scared:

They are legally separated and the jewels were promptly taken back

lest she tries to marry another innocent victim using the diamond jewels as a bait. :(

I did not consider this possibility that once girls are married many men may not find them attractive enough to desire them .

or men have a code of conduct that makes them stay away from married ladies

in case of the latter possibility,I wish it was true

My mother's side is from Nagerkoil and I was born in Nagercoil. Nagercoil used to be a part of Travancore state and then Travancore-cochin(till 1957 or so). Nagercoil - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After 1957 or so, Nagercoil became part of Tamilnadu. There are many people in Nagercoil who have relatives in Trivandram and so there is a strong connection between Nagercoil and Trivandram (Kerala).

The movie Nizhalkuthu - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Nizhalkuthu is set in Nagercoil Nizhalkuthu is a masterwork for a review.

Happy Onam every one - be from Nagercoil(kerala) or not.
