Think or sink!

"ஷீ டெவில்!" என்றாலும் சரியே...

"சதி லீலாவதி!" என்றாலும் சரியே...

சரி என்று மனதுக்குப் படுவதைச் செய்தால்

சரியாது மணவாழ்வு! விரியாது மணபந்தம்!!

பிரியார் தம்பதிகள்!! சிரியாது பெரிய உலகம்!!!

In work environment too, when the management does not agree with you or your ideas, one must employ a consultant and maneuver him to put your suggestion as his final recommendation, and make him believe that he did it on his own. In the domestic front too, I have seen my mother use her in laws to decide the 'right' decision! Now, when my wife is recalcitrant, my daughter comes to the rescue.

If she objects to everything he does, then their wedding will get derailed.

If she agrees to everything he does, then the family will get ruined.

She has to decide on which matters to give in and which to stand firm."

The best way to get our ideas accepted is to say
"Just as you have rightly pointed out ...:blabla:...
without claiming them to be the products of our brain.
When we claim to be originator of the sterling ideas,
then V vs We (where V = Veto.)

In many countries, cultures, societies, families
women are not allowed to THINK!

I had a friend whose constant complaint was,
"You think too much!!!"

But I believe that two heads are better than one -

even if one them is stronger on the exterior and

the other happens to be stronger in the interior! :)

Dear Mr. Prakash,
Please use the following links!
I am sure you will find what you seek.
Atma Shatkam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9uvD71A7cCA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqMFz_0VOxY
The first link gives the Satakam in Sanskrit and English.
(Forget reading it in Tamil with correct pronunciation).
The second link gives the meaning in simple Tamil.
The third link gives the correct pronunciation in Sanskrit
and can be used along with link 1 for the best results.
Good Luck in your spiritual search! :)

When perfect strangers on a strange land -

whom I may never ever meet again in my lifetime-

come out of their way to compliment with a good word,

or kind gesture or a pleasant thought as they pass by,

why do people whom we may see hundreds of times more

in our life times go out of their way to hurt and scar

the already pained and hurt heart???

But if they are looking for rhyming words to call me names,

I myself can help them with perfect ethugai and monai.

Paanai vayiRu will rhyme well with koNaik kaalu.

I just laugh hearing such words since I KNOW that

I am not that paanai viyiRu or the koNaik kaalu

but I am the auspicious Sivam lying far beyond these.

I am NOT my thinning silver grey hair,

I am NOT my swollen ankles or knees,

I am NOT my pot belly or anything that lies above or below this.

I am the Eternal Auspiciousness residing in a physical body

riddled with discomforts, difficulties, pains and punishments.

NOT JUST ME ...BUT EVERY ONE OF US IS THE SIVAM.

So let not the cruel words uttered in wanton taunts hurt you ever again.

When we visited Silverton lying in between a circle of mountains,

we went by bus (1 and 1/2 hour ride) and returned by the train.

The bus driver made everyone get out and took in again just us

to drop us right at the picnic spot- saving us from a long walk

in the hot sun carrying the heavy picnic baskets.

Later I tried to figure out the reasons for his kindness.

1. ONLY we formed a mixed group with three generations.

2. ONLY my younger son was able-bodied to carry the baskets.

(I can hardly carry myself, my husband becomes breathless in high

altitudes and my D.I.l had to carry her younger son and hold on her

elder son.)

Small timely help go a long way to show us what

a person is really made up of in his inside. :hail:

Two weeks after we we landed in Mahaan Bhaarat,

I slept through the night from 11 P.M to 5 A.M !!!

Older we become, longer it takes to synchronize

our biological clock with the local clock!!!

Sashti pooja got pre-poned and was performed last Friday ist August-
even before Shasti had started!

My plan of preparing five elaborate prasadam for Tarun kutty's birthday collapsed. I could have never made it happen since I was running temperature from Friday till Wednesday- with Sunday being the worst among the five days.

Lord Murugan knew that I needed another enforced vacation and gave me the flu and also preponed the pooja so that I need not feel guilty or sad!

The prasadam plan has been postponed to the
next Krithigai/ Shasti that follows.

Remove the cause and the effect ceases to be.

Right!! but which is the cause and which is the effect?

That is the confusion prevailing in my mind now!

Is aging the cause and the need for spectacles the effect???

OR is it the other way???

During my stay in USA, I wore spectacles ONLY while working at the P.C. :typing:

The most favorite toy of any child is the spectacles sitting on the nose of the grand parents. :)

I had only one pair (with no spare spectacles) and would not dare get it ruined by these kutties.

But slowly my eye sight seemed to improve. My night vision also improved.

So also my angle of peripheral vision seemed to have improved.

I was able to manage the daily chores without wearing the

spectacles - advised for constant use by my ophthalmologist.

I was happy that my vision was improving until something unexpected happened!

Now I am not able to read wearing my spectacles.

I am not able to read without my spectacles either.

So after spending 4 hours at an eye clinic yesterday

I was pronounced alright but advised to go for a new pair of spectacles.

I am managing now with the sleek, slim, golden rimmed reading glasses

(costing a mere Rs 60/-)

which was bought by me long ago, to take to the temple bhajans.

i can't work for long periods since the left eye feels uncomfortable.

So fresh posts may appear only from 12th onwards.

"Anything/ Everything is done either once or thrice!" is true!!!

Hope the third time will be the right time with no more further disturbances.

The most satvic face I had seen in a young girl belongs to the D.I.L of

one of my friends. My friend has two sons and this girls is the elder D.I.L.

She was hunting for a suitable girl for her son, with the help of

horoscopes for over four years with no success.

Then at the temple in Thirupparankundram the family has seen that girl.

They were all instantly bowled over by her silent and serene face.

AND she did not even have a horoscope to compare with that of the boy!!!

Yet they did get married and now they have two lovely daughters.

The mother is praying that she must find another similar bride for her

younger son also with the help of a God in a temple! :)

Temples, festivals, utsavams, weddings and social functions are valuable places for bride/groom hunting. Often it is love and liking at first sight for all, boy/girl and parents from both sides.
