The short answer is Yes. I had a shoulder surgery last week, and my rehab time is expected to be three months. I am quite content at this time fighting my battles with the body, than taking on additional ones to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am afraid I might see the other white bright light and my entire life flash before my eyes. I am not quite ready for that yet:fear:

Ms. Amala, I am a tambram, but I don't know how many of the forum members will agree with that definition

How could you miss out on such a classic literature?

Some of the poses will put any Olympic Gymnastic Gold Medalists to shame and some were even gravity defying...you will laugh reading and seeing the illustrations..it gives you a deeper insight of what the human mind is capable of.

Most of the women in the paintings had fat thighs and skinny legs and big hips and big tops and with folds in the abdomen..very unsteady center of gravity body shape if you ask me.

The men always looked like some King even having head gear on while in action!LOL

RR Ji..when my plane landed in India in 1990 when I was a student...after getting all my medical books and my mum had gone back home...I went to the book store and bought 2 very important books since I was in India;

1)The Bhagavad Geeta with commentary by Adi Shankara

2)Kama Sutra.


These are 2 books every Indian(PIO included) should read.

Get well soon...BTW just to make you laugh a little..when I read that you had shoulder surgery last week with recovery period of 3 months..I was thinking OMG Kumar ji is Shah Rukh Khan using the name of Kumar in forum..cos SRK underwent shoulder surgery last week and also rehab for him is 3 months.

Thank you all for your good wishes. The surgery is supposed to have gone well, now I have to go through physical therapy to get complete movement and strength back. This is expected to take 3 - 6 months, then I can start playing tennis again. Since I am sitting at home, I have a little more time to participate in the forum.

Ms. Renu, Shah Rukh Khan is a movie actor right? I have not seen a Hindi/Tamil movie in more than 30 years.

today, i read the whole interview. it is a complete and non eventful narration of the lady's life - vignettes of interest. had not losangeles ram got upset and wrote in facebook (i had referenced that in my OP) which Jmo took up, this whole interview would have been a non issue - only because when looked at in totality there is not even any anguish.

any quote or statement, taken out of context or taken in part or taken in isolation, develops a meaning into itself, which may not be in tune with the context in which it was stated. i find sujatha's selected quotes in the OP which was my initial reference, are indeed harmless excerpts of a wife of a public figure.

I cant stand too serious actors all the while..for example I prefer to watch Kamal Hassans comedy movies and light hearted ones..I did not see Hey Ram cos its heavy duty drama.
I liked Vasool Raja MBBS the best!


Amir Khan I used to like him when he was a romantic hero ...but now he is like Kamal...too serious at times..but I would see Amir's comedy movies like 3 idiots..it was funny.

Imran Pal Khan nephew of Amir Khan is a cutie pie..he looks like a cuddly teddy bear with puppy dogs eyes..so no matter what I will watch his movies cos he is cute and funny...but if he goes too serious I might not be too much of a fan.


Now coming to King Khan...I was in India when King Khan started becoming famous..I like him as an Anti Hero and also as a Romantic Hero.

For me I would say he is NOT an Actor..wait wait let me finish.

Everyone else acts the role but SRK BECOMES...He becomes the character..just like how sugar dissolves into water becoming one with water but yet leaves its unique taste of sweetness...That is Shah Rukh Khan.

what is interesting is that the interviewer k.n.sivaraman, has given his side of the story. and more over priya kannan, who published it for dinakaran vasantham, is on recording, verifying the tone and language of the article with sujatha rangarajan.

here is an excerpt which exonerates the magazine...

இப்படி ஒன்றல்ல, இரண்டல்ல. ஏழெட்டு முறை அவரிடம் பேசி, திருத்தி, அதன் பின்னரே லே அவுட் ஆரம்பமானது.

அச்சுக்கு செல்வதற்கு முன்னர் கூட அவரிடம் அனுமதி பெறப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

இவ்வளவையும் இங்கு குறிப்பிட காரணம், இது கற்பனை பேட்டி அல்ல என்பதை வலியுறுத்தத்தான். தவிர, 14 லட்சத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட பிரதிகள் விற்பனையாகும் ‘தினகரன்’ இதழில் அப்படியெல்லாம் கற்பனையில் ஒரு பேட்டியை பிரசுரித்து விடவும் முடியாது.
