Hello friends,
Recently I had been to a place calle KILASIVALPATTI/P.Alagapuri in Sivaganga District. a small village with 2 names. The first half of the village is in Sivaganga and the second half in Pudhukkottai Fine just forget these details. There is a beautiful temple here in this village where you will find 3 seperate garbagudi for Lord Siva,Vishnu and Brahma.
Ofcourse main Garbagudi is for Meenakshi Sundareswarar.
In the other twin village a great temple for Ponnazhagi Amman.
The P.Alagapuri and Kilasival patti is seperated by a wall running to full length of the village.
As per normal practice in TN villages , when ever the Flag is hoisted before ursavam the people from one side of the wall will cross the border and will spend one night over there before returning. This will enable them to go to outstations during Utsavam. Quite a funny practice.
This place is close to Kunnakudi and Pillayarpatti.
Just make it a point to visit here when you go to Kunnakudi next time.
