My friend asked me this question and I did not know what to answer, so I am asking the elders in this forum.
----------
My friend and her husband are Tamil Brahmins but do not have any religious or spiritual beliefs. Last year her mother-in-law passed away. She was the one who did the poojas, lit lamps and maintained the pooja room cupboard. Now it has been a year and they are not using it anymore.
So they want to convert it to a cupboard that they can use.
She wants to put all the photos, saligramam and everything else in a box and keep it on the loft.
Someone suggested keeping all of this in a perumal temple.
Is that correct? What should she do? Need your guidance on this.
