Palagaram and its use in TBs
Palagaram as I understand is Phalla - Aahaaram meaning Food of fruits
Why has this changed to Idli and Dosa and other Tiffin items on Amavasai and Tharpanam days?
Are any TBs really following the real Phalla - Aahaaram now??

the real meaning of phala agaam is phala also means leaves
so eat leaves and furits only onthe day of fasting tokeep the stomach clean

That's right. It's only eating of fruits (phalams), that too in small quantity. But, it later on became many (pala) aharams, anything except cooked ones.
