Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat believes that Bangladesh and Pakistan are Hindu nations, reported India Today.
According to India Today's report, speaking at Sangh training camp at Sriji Baba Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Mathura, Bhagwat said that the Indian continent is a Hindu nation and people living in Bangladesh and Pakistan are also part of it.
Stating that there should not be any doubt about Bharat (India) being an Hindu rashtra, he said, "At any cost we cannot discard this belief."
Referring to various examples, Bhagwat claimed, "Citizenship of people residing in various countries may be different, but their nationality is Hindu."
Bhagwat also said people are ignorant and they claim that they are Muslims or Christians. The ancient name of this part of the land is Hindustan.

Why leave the rest of the world?

Does it have any significance? Yes you can disregard reality and dream, but usually they are confined to padded walls.

Sir,

I am not saying we should annexe these nations...Did I ...I just mentioned that our religion and culture pervaded these countries once upon a time

Patel Buckled Under Nehru's Pressure to Crack Down on RSS

Indira gandhi is not the first one to impose emergency; her father gets the credit. Indira only followed what he did in 1948. It is time all documents are declassified for the new generation of indians to understand dark side of post independent indian history and become wiser. Hardened so called humanists may recommend padded cells, but truth will eventually educate young indians to realise their self worth.

[FONT=&quot]Next week, four decadeswould have passed since the darkest chapter of Indian post-Independence historybegan, when the Emergency was declared on June 25, 1975. It unleashed a reignof terror against political and ideological opponents, particularly the RashtriyaSwayamsevak Sangh (RSS) until elections were declared in 1977. However, thetemplate for the shameful desecration of democracy was set in 1948, when theJawaharlal Nehru government banned the RSS, mercilessly hunting down andincarcerating its members on the suspicion that the right wing organisation wascomplicit in the murder of Mahatma Gandhi. The decision to ban the RSS wastaken on February 4, 1948, when Nehru was the prime minister and SardarVallabhbhai Patel was the home minister and part of the collective decisionmaking body that governed the country. At a time when plans to raise a statueof Patel that will eclipse the Statue of Liberty are on, documents availablewith The Sunday Standard show Patel adhering to the government decision to persecutethe RSS. Government employees were trailed, arrested and jailed; studentswatched, arrested and accused for being RSS sympathisers and even thoseacquitted of any involvement were summarily dismissed from their jobs.

[FONT=&quot]A secret file (No. F-74(1)-P/48) reveals government employeeswere under surveillance from Intelligence Bureau (IB) spies and suspendedfrom their jobs on the suspicion that they were RSS sympathisers. Anothergovernment file (No. 68-P/48-A) notes the IB was tasked to shadow all thosesuspected to have RSS links, including students as young as 15, who werewatched by CID personnel of their states. This was exactly what happened duringthe Emergency, when according to L K Advani’s A Prisoner’s Scrap Book around105,000 RSS members were arrested as well as 8,000 satyagrahis who demonstratedagainst the draconian laws of the time. The secret file includes a letter trailfrom states informing that spy agency officials, including G K Handoo, who asInspector General of Police, UP, and R N Kao, who later become the first chiefof R&AW, about action taken against the suspects. Though the probe intoGandhi’s murder gave a clean chit to RSS, thousands of its members were houndedand imprisoned because of the ban.

Pakistan and Bangladesh also Hindu nations, says RSS chie

I do not know how all the people of the sub-continent be called as Hindus. Hindustan is a geographical name in its meaning " the abode of people living across Sindu (hindu) river".

How ever "I, a child of the Maha Sapta Sindhu, should rightfully be called a Hindu", says Mr Salman Rashid, Travel writer and Fellow of Royal Geographic Society of Pakistan in his well analysed Blog. He ends his Blog with the following words:

The bottom line is that we who live upon the wide breast of the Sindhu, the father of a civilisation that goes far back into the mists of time, the river that feeds us today and lights up our homes, are the real Hindus.
I, a child of the Maha Sapta Sindhu, should rightfully be called a Hindu.

I follow Mr Salman Rashid's blog regularly. He has written seven books on the History and Heritage of that part of sub-continent called Pakistan. I wish our members who are interested in our civilization should read his articles in his Blog.

Brahmanyan,

I agree with Mr. Prasad that we have to be cognizant of ground realities. Pakistan is less Hinudstan and more Talibanistan.

And btw, the Pakis and Afghans were Buddhists at some point too.
