The poor wife had tough time since she will bloat like a balloon even on a salt restricted diet.

Now he can't stand the sight of the salt shaker and finds fault with his wife for adding too much salt in the food!
What we sow is what we reap. [But few people have good metabolism may be due to genetics and thus have good karma!]

Plus, that wife's karma was good and everything worked in her favor though indirectly.

But the poor wife bears the brunt both times and in both ways.

First it was for not adding enough salt!

Now it is for adding more salt.

But in reality she cooks exactly in the same way.

We better take the blame when we live with stupid people, atleast hoping the result would be favourable. But answering back to those people, the result would be damaging. In conflicts and with non-listening people, we better stop arguing (Dharma ShAstra).

The same analogy related to brahmins, that were caught between the british and dravidian atheists, for adhering to spiritual values. Let us just follow our values (moderate salt) ;) Blow God Sri Ranganathar and Thillai Nataraj with cannon was the Dravidian party's slogan.wmv - YouTube

Jus FYI, I don't want to distract the topic ;)
