Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri(author of Narayaneeyam ) is said to have taken upon himself ,the paralysis of his Guru.

Bhishma pitamaha had exchanged his youth with his father,we are taught.

I have observed Kanchi Parmacharya scrubbing his head by a flower , (I am made to understand later from other sources that this is to lessen the burden of loading the devotees' papa on his head by the prostrating/Dashan devotees.(I welcome to be corrected if I am wrong.)
