மஹா பெரியவா சரணம்.!!

ஒரு கிராமத்தில் முகாம்.. ஏழை விவசாயி ஒருவர் தரிசனத்துக்கு வந்தார். தன் சொந்த சாகுபடியில் விளைந்த வரகு அரிசியைக் கொண்டு வந்து சமர்ப்பித்து, "சாமி சாப்பிடணும்" என்று வேண்டிக் கொண்டார்..

பெரியவாள் வரகு அரிசியை வடிக்கச் சொன்னார்கள்.. அதனுடன் புளிக் காய்ச்சல் சேர்த்து, 'வரகு அரிசி புளியஞ்சாதம்' செய்யச் சொன்னார்கள்..

அன்றைய தினம் ஸ்ரீ சந்திர மௌலீஸ்வரருக்கு அந்தப் புளியஞ்சாதம் நைவேத்யமாயிற்று.. பொரி வேண்டாம் என்று சொல்லி, வரகுச் சோற்றையே பிக்ஷையாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்கள்...

அணுக்கத் தொண்டர்களின் இதயம் கசிந்தது.. ஓர் ஏழை விவசாயியின் அன்பு நிறைந்த வேண்டுகோளை நிறைவேற்றத் திருவுள்ளம் கொண்ட பெரியவாளின் எளிய தன்மையை நினைத்து, நினைத்து நெகிழ்ந்து போனார்கள்...

பெரியவா சரணம்
தேனம்பாக்கம் பிரம்மபுரீஸ்வரர் ஆலயத்தில் பூஜை செய்யும் விசுவநாத சிவாச்சாரியாருக்குக் காஞ்சிபுரம் கோயிலில் பூஜை முறை உண்டு..

தேனம்பாக்கத்தில் தங்கியிருந்த பெரியவா, ஒரு நாள் ஏகாம்பரேஸ்வரர் தரிசனத்துக்குச் சென்றார்கள்.. அன்றைக்கு விசுவநாத சிவாச்சாரியார் 'முறை'..

சிவாச்சாரியாருக்குக் கொள்ளை சந்தோஷம்.. தான் பூஜை முறையில் இருக்கும் போது பெரியவா தரிசனத்துக்கு வந்திருக்கிறார்கள்..

தற்செயலான வருகை.. முன் கூட்டி சொல்லி விட்டு வரவில்லை.. ஏகம்பன் அருளால் பெரியவாளுக்குத் தரிசனம் பண்ணி வைக்கும் மகத்தான பேறு கிடைத்திருக்கிறது.. உள்ளம் நெகிழ்ந்தார் சிவாச்சாரியார்..

"பெரியவா, உள்ளே வந்து தரிசனம் பண்ணிக்கலாம்.." பணிவுடன் வேண்டினார் சிவாச்சாரியார்..

"அது கர்பக்ருஹம்.. ஆகம சாஸ்திரப்படி சிவாச்சாரியார்கள் தான் கர்பக்ருஹத்துக்குள் போகலாம்.. சில கோயில்களில் கர்பக்ருஹத்துக்குள் போவதற்கு எங்களுக்கு உரிமை இருக்கு.. ரொம்ப காலமாக, இந்தக் கோயிலில் அந்த உரிமை இல்லை.. இங்கிருந்தே ஆனந்தமாய் தரிசனம் கிடைக்கிறது... " பெரியவா புன்னகையுடன் கூறினார்..

பெரியவா சட்டத்தை மீறியதாக ஒரு சான்று கூட இல்லை...

Experiences with Maha Periyava: Ways of the World

When Sivasankaran, a long-standing devotee of SriMatham came for darshan one day, an attendant treated him very harshly.

Sivasankaran was very upset. He felt that he had been insulted. He was not inclined to run to Sri Maha Periyava and complain. He had, however, an opportunity to talk to Periyava.

Indirectly, but intending to unburden his heart, he said with a tact, as if he were injecting a needle into a banana fruit, "Some attendants at the Matham are pronouncedly bad. They commit wrong. They covet monetary gifts. I wonder how Periyava manages with such people around him".

Periyava was full of laughter. His expression seemed to suggest, "What you say is not new to me".

He then began to speak,

"Consider a factory where thousands work. Is everyone skilled and straightforward? Lakhs of people are working in Government offices. Everyone does not have the same level of commitment. Many do not work properly. Or if they do, they do their work imperfectly. It is not possible to send them home. The Government has its apex body functioning. That is important. It is enough if this apex body is alright. That much is enough. Only that much is possible. The SriMatham is an empire in itself. Many kinds of attendants are necessarily to be found here...... Do you know Parameshwara?

Sivasankaran knew five or six gentlemen of the name of Parameswara. He blinked, not knowing which of them Periyava was referring to.

"I was referring to Parameshwara, the Lord of Kailasha. He has a snake around his neck. He holds fire in his hands. A malevolent deity is kept under control beneath his feet. His retinue consists of corpses and ghosts. He roams all over the world taking all these along with him and performs his dance. If the snake were to be let loose it will go all over the place enjoying great freedom, frighten and bite everyone. If fire is uncontrolled, it will destroy settlements and wilderness alike. If malevolent forces are allowed to go about freely, they will attack anyone they encounter. As for corpses and ghosts, one need hardly say anything (about what they may do). Parameswara's glory lies in keeping all these evil forces with him".

Sivasankaran stood in shocked silence. He had expected that Periyava would quieten him with some placatory words. But Periyava's reply sparkled with the perception of the ways of the world and was given in such unambiguous terms.

It is not Sivasankaran alone, but all devotees must attain greater refinement.

பெரியவா சரணம் !!


இது ஒன்றும் பரம ரகசியம் இல்லை. நம்மை போல சாதாரண மனிதர்களுக்கு தெறிந்த விசியம் தான்.

ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாவின் சரித்ரம்" Part 219 - HAPPY MONDAY MORNING.MARCH 12, 2018.

1. நமது தலையாய கடமை எது? கிடைத்த சந்தர்ப்பத்தை இழக்காமல் அடுத்தவருக்கு உதவு. காசு தான் கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றில்லை. சரீர உதவி தான் ச்லாக்கியமானது ஏனென்றால் எல்லோராலும் முடிந்தது. அடுத்தவனுக்கோ, தேசத்துக்கோ பணத்தால் மட்டுமில்லாமல் தேகத்தாலும் உழைப்பது பகவானுக்கு உங்களைப் பிடிக்க வைக்கும். இப்படி சேவை செய்யும்போது முதலில் நமது மனத்துக்கே திருப்தியை அளிப்பது தான் உள்ளே இருக்கும் பகவானின் திருப்தி என்று சொல்லவருகிறேன்

2. உலகத்தின் மகா பெரும் விஞ்ஞான கூடத்தாலும், விஞ்ஞானியாலும் கூட உயிருள்ள ஒரு சிறு புல்லை உருவாக முடியாது. ஒரு கவளம் உண்ணும்போதும், ஒரு குவளை நீர் பருகும்போதும் அதை பகவானுக்கு அற்பணித்துவிட்டு பிறகு சாப்பிட்டால் அதன் ருசியே தனி. அதுவே ஔஷதம். எது சிறந்ததோ, எது உசத்தியோ, அது அவனால் தான் கிடைத்தது என்ற நன்றி ஈரம் நெஞ்சில் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

3. மற்ற உயிர்களிடம் அன்பு இல்லாத வாழ்க்கை வீண்.

4. பிறர்க்குதவா கருமியின் சொத்து பின்னால் குடும்ப நாசத்துக்கு தான் வழிகோலும். எத்தனை பெரிய சொத்துள்ளவர்கள், பணக்காரர்கள் கோர்ட் வாசலில்.....கொடுத்துக்கொண்டே இருப்பவன் குடும்பமும் க்ஷேமமாகவே இருக்கிறதே.

5. செய்வதையும் இரண்டாம் பேருக்கு சொல்லாமல் தெரியாமல் செய்பவன் புகழ் தானே வெளியே வரும். விளம்பரம் செய்து உதவி செய்வது உதவி செய்த பலனை சாப்பிட்டுவிடும்.

6. நடந்ததை மறந்துவிடு. கொட்டின பால் குடம் புகாது. நல்லது கெட்டது புரிந்து செயல்படு. கிருஷ்ணன் இருக்கிறான் வழிகாட்ட. அவன் சொல்படி தான் எல்லாமே நடக்கிறது, நடக்கும்.

7. கொடுத்த வாழ்நாள் எண்ணிக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறான். ஒரு வினாடியும் வீணாக்காதே. கொடுத்தவன் உன்னை பார்த்துக்கொண்டு தானே இருக்கிறான். அவனது கையாளாக உன்னை பிறர்க்குதவ நியமித்திருக்கிறானே. பொதுப்பணத்தை தனக்காக ஒதுக்கி விடுவது அரசியலோடு போகட்டும். ஆன்மீகத்தில் வேண்டாம். நேரம், சரீர சேவை தான் இங்கு பொதுப்பணம்.

8. நமக்கு என்று நியமிக்கப்பட்ட கடமைகளை அன்றாடம் நிறைவேற்றவேண்டும். அதை பகவானிடம் பக்தியோடு செய்யவேண்டும். தக்க பலனை கொடுக்கும்..

9. உனக்கிட கடமையை நீ செய்தாலே உனக்கு அவன் தன் பக்கத்தில் ஒரு இடம் காலி செய்து வைத்து இருக்கிறான். .

10. இறைவன் இருக்கிறான் எங்கும் எப்போதும், அவனன்றி ஓர் அணுவும் அசையாது, என்கிற ஞானமே சகல துன்பத்திலிருந்தும் விடுதலை அளிக்கும். வாழ்க்கையில் வரும் கஷ்டங்கள் நிரந்தரம் இல்லை, இலையின் மேல் பனித்துளி, ஆதவனின் ஒளியில் அகல்வது.
இதை நான் சொன்னதாக எடுத்துகொள்ளாதீர்கள். மஹா பெரியவா கிட்டே இருந்து தெரிந்து கொண்டது.

Experiences with Maha Periyava: Exemption to rule!

One day a lady came to SriMatham wearing a six yards saree. May be she was coming there for the first time. She was probably not aware of the practice that family ladies visit SriMatham wearing only the nine yards saree.

Another lady, who considered herself a most devoted 'bhakthai' (devotee) of the Mutt, saw this lady wearing a six yards saree! She got very furious!

"You can not have 'darshan' of Sri Maha Periyava, without wearing 'madisaar' (nine yards saree)" thundered she to the poor lady!

Unfortunately for the 'most-devoted' lady, Sri Maha Periyava came that side!
When He asked what the shouting was about, He was told what exactly happened.

He called the 'madisaar' lady, who was trembling!

"That lady is very poor! She doesn't have a nine yards saree. She cannot afford to buy one! Go to the shop immediately, buy a nine yards saree and two blouse pieces and give them to her" said Maha Periyava to her!

She immediately obeyed His order, went and purchased the saree and made the poor lady wear it in 'madisaar' fashion and led her to Sri Maha Periyava.

“Very good! But what you did is wrong! Ask for her pardon!", said He to the 'madisaar' lady.
Although He stuck to 'sampradaayams', Sri Maha Periyava also knew when and where to give exemption!
