I am Rajagopalan from Bengaluru(you can also enjoy my blogs at rajavenkata dot com). I also go in the professional space as Raja . Although I hail from Thanjvur-Varagoor being our Native, I grew up in Chennai - Raja Annamalaipuram. I am an Independent consultant and a corporate trainer. Happily married with two daughters . I do have both a Facebook and LinkedIn identity.

Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa!

I am R Sivaramakrishnan From Pune. We are performing Saastha Preeti every year. This is our 17th year. This year we performed Sasthru Bhajan with Ashtapati by Ayyappa's Blessings.

I would like to know the following:

The 999th Sahasranama says Ayyppan as "OM Shree Kalakandapureesaya Namaha". I would like to know which place is mentioned as "Kalakandapuri".

I request with Pranams to clear my doubt.

I am R Sivaramakrishnan, from Pune and native place is Sengottai. Born and brought up in Tenkasi, Tirunelveli Dist. Completed my studies in Ilanji. Graduated from Sri Paramakalyani College, Azhwarkurichi. Worked with a Pvt Co. in Pune and now retired.
My wife is Uma Sivaramakrishnan, working in insurance sector and one daughter Ms. Medhalakshmi completed her 12th and waiting for results.

We are in Chinchwad Area of Pune. Every year Myself and three of my friends conducting Ayyappa Pooja on Chitirai Vishu and Last week in the month of December.

I am Panchapakesan Swaminathan joined today Tamil Brahmins. I am native of Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu but at present settled in Trichy after my Retirement from Central Bank of India. I am married having two boys who are all settled down well. As a bank employee I worked in various capacities in north and south and even North eastern states. I put a maximum of more than 36 years of service in my banking career and got superannuation on 9th July 2009. At the time of my retirement I worked as Senior Manager of Central Bank of India,Nungambakkam branch, Chennai.

I am interested in preserving of culture and tradition of of our community which does not I am deeply a religious person.

I am interested in hearing carnatic music, browsing my laptop, reciting sahasranamam and slokas.

I am also interested in browsing social media like face book, twitter .

I've followed/ I'm following most of the rituals based on elders order/insistence. Now happy to see that I can find reasons behind each of these rituals in such forums. I hope I can learn a lot from this forum and enhance my knowledge and keep continuing rituals and knowledge sharing of whatever I learn from by discussing/sharing with friends here and outside.
