Let me first thank the Tamil Brahmins for my membership. I am a Tamilian. Retired from acive professional life. My last official position was DyGM in a Central PSU in Kochi. Since 2004 Jan I am residing in Hosur and live with my wife. Both married sons are living in UAE with their families. My hobbies are music and religious matters. I am associating with two temples in Hosur. I travel a lot and photography is my best hobby.

I introduce myself as sankararaman iyer, from tirunelveli, tamil nadu and settled in mumbai (bombay) since 1978. I am a journalist by profession and a brahmin by birth and vegetarian. My interests are carnatic music, devotional songs and a little bit of sports (table tennis and badminton). I am a married man with a employed wife (sbi employee) born in bombay and a distant relative having a college going daughter (doing her final year b.e. In i.t.).

I am very lucky to come across this site. I am able to interact with my like minded tamil brahmins through site.

Hi Mr.Balasubramanian, Thanks much for providing the information. I am very much interested in learning thiruvaradanam and daily poojas. By birth I am Vaikanasam. We have perumal, thayar vikragam at home. Presently my father is doing the thiruvaradanam and daily poojas. I learnt few things from him. But he is not very sure about hte meaning and some times I feel like the pronounciation is not correct. if any one can help me on this it woul dbe great.

If I am correct there is a procedure to be adopted. We may have to undergo
Pancha Samskaramgal under an Acharya, who will be able to bless you to
undertake the above, rather it is a pre-requisite to get qualified to do a particular
task.

Normally, we see in TV programmes lectures of Velukudi Krishna Swamiji's many
programmes. You may contact Giri Trading Company, they may have a book
written by him. Meanwhile, I shall try to find out and let you know.
