how to find which veda?

I was browsing this link and saw that different people belonging to different veda perform avani avattam at different times.

I don't know which veda I belong to. I would appreciate if somebody could let me know how to find that information.

Yes pls. No other go. You have to consult your father or paternal (born with your father - like uncle, aththai) relatives, who have acquintance with your gothram/ 'abhivadhayae' etc. One belong to which saka will find a place in this pravaram with the names of rishis belonging to their gothram.

I found that I belong to 'athereya' gothram. Also follow Rig veda.

Is that correct?
