ஈஸ்வரன்.


“உலகில் உள்ள பொருட்கள் அனைத்துமே
உண்மையில் ஈஸ்வரனின் ஸ்வரூபங்களே!”
உபதேசித்தார் பெரும் குரு நாதர் ஒருவர்;
உபதேசம் பெற்றான் அவருடைய சீடன்.

எல்லோரும் ஈஸ்வரர்களே என்பதால்
எல்லையில்லா மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அவன்
செல்லும்போது எதிரே வந்தான் ஒரு
பொல்லாத யானை மேல் அமர்ந்த பாகன்.

“விலகுங்கள்! விலகுங்கள்!” என்று பாகன்
விலாப் புடைக்கக் கத்திய போதிலும்;
விலகவில்லை கொஞ்சமும் அந்தச் சீடன்
விரும்பி யானையின் அருகிலேயே வந்தான்!

“நானும் ஈஸ்வரன், யானையும் ஈஸ்வரன்,
நான் ஏன் அஞ்சிப் பாதை விலகவேண்டும்?”
நடந்து வந்த யானை துதிக்கையால் தூக்கி.
நாலு வட்டங்கள் சுழற்றி வீசிச் சென்றது!

நல்ல வேளையாக உயிர் போகவில்லை!
நல்ல காயங்களுடனே தப்பிவிட்டான்.
நடந்ததைத் தன் குருவிடம் சொல்லவே,
நகைக்கலானார் அவர் விழுந்து விழுந்து!

“யானையும் ஈஸ்வரன்தான்! அதுவும் சரி.
நீயும் ஈஸ்வரன்தான் ஒப்புக் கொள்கின்றேன்.
யானையின் மேல் அமர்ந்த இன்னொரு ஈஸ்வரன்
நீங்கிச் செல்லும்படிச்சொன்னது கேட்கவில்லையா ?”

சொற்களின் பொருளை அறிவதால் மட்டும்
சொல்லப்பட்ட கருத்துக்கள் புரிந்து விடாது.
கருத்தினைப் புரிந்து கொண்டால் மட்டுமே
கற்றதன் பயன் நமக்குத் தப்பாது கிடைக்கும்.

Yes Bharathiyar may not be a drunken dude But he is known to be idulging in Ganja jal called Ganga jal by him!!

INITIATION INTO DRUG USE

After his father's death, he worked in the Raja's court as an official from 1902 up to 1904, and the Raja extended his patronage and cordiality to the young man. He was a favorite of the Raja, who was highly concerned about Bharathi's poor physique and advised him strongly to use “Puranathi Lehiyam,” an electuary containing considerable amounts of opium and ganja along with many ingredients. The Raja jocularly told him, “you look dyspeptic - after using this lehiyam you will swallow not only food but also the container!” He also recommended “a ganja drink instead of ganga drink.” It was a licentious court and how much Bharathi followed the royal advice we cannot be sure. This is how he was initiated into the drug habit.

Was Gajendra - saved by Paacha - irriated because of Ganga Jal ? Ganesa irritated by Manthra taught him a lesson! But Gajendras punishment is JIHADI!!

It became necessary to kill the crocodile and the elephant

to deliver them from their cursed lives and

restore them to their original glory!

I see nothing jihadi in this!

பாண்டிய மன்னன் இந்திரத்யும்னன்,
பாற்கடலில் பாம்பணையின் மீது
பள்ளி கொண்ட பரந்தாமனின் பக்தன்;
பரமன் நினைவிலே திளைத்திருப்பவன்.

மலய பர்வதத்தில் ஆழ்ந்த தியானத்தில்
அமர்ந்து இருந்தவன் உணரவில்லை,
குறுமுனி அகத்தியர் தன்னை நாடி
ஒரு விருந்தினராக வந்ததையே!

கண்டும் காணாதது போல இருந்ததைக்
கண்டதும் முனிவர் கொண்ட கோபத்தால்,
கஜேந்திரனாகச் சென்று பிறக்கும்படிக்
கண நேரத்தில் ஒரு சாபம் அளித்தார்.

மறு பிறவியிலும் மாறாத பக்தியும்,
இறை நினைவும் பெற்றிருந்த யானை,
பெரும் யானைக் கூட்டத்தின் அரசனாக,
பெரு வலிவுடைய கஜேந்திரனாக ஆயிற்று!

கந்தர்வன் ஹூ ஹூ, முனிவர் தேவலர்
கால்களை நீரில் மூழ்கிப் பற்றி இழுக்க,
கோபம் கொண்ட முனிவர் கொடுத்தார்
சாபம் ஒரு பெரிய முதலை ஆகும்படி!

இருவரின் சாப விமோசனமும் அன்று
இருந்ததோ ஒரே இறைவன் கையில்!
இருந்தான் பரந்தாமனும் தகுந்த நேரம்
வரும் வரையிலும் காத்துக் கொண்டு!

ஆனையின் காலை முதலை இழுக்க,
ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் இழுபறி நிலைமை!
தன் முயற்சியில் தோல்வியுற்ற யானை
முன் ஜன்ம பக்தியை நினைவு கூர்ந்தது!

தாக்கும் முதலையிடம் இருந்து காக்க,
காக்கும் கடவுள் தாமரைக் கண்ணனைத்
தூக்கிய துதிக்கையில் பற்றிய மலருடன்
நோக்கி அழைத்தது “ஆதி மூலமே” என!

சடுதியில் ஏறினான் தன் கருடன் மீது;
கடுகி விரைந்தான் மடுவின் நீரிடம்;
விடுத்த சக்கரம் பறந்து சென்றது;
அடுத்த நொடியில் முதலை மடிந்தது!

அடைந்தான் ஹூ ஹூ தன் சுய உருவம்;
அடைந்தான் கஜேந்திரன் சாருப்ய முக்தி;
கிடைத்தது மனித குலத்துக்கு உறுதி ஒன்று,
கிடைக்கும் உறுதியாக இறை உதவி என்று!

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

I wish Sri Mahaa Vishnu should NOT be referred to as paachaa!!! :nono:
 
airavata is supposed to be white in colour!

This elephant is pinkish and actually suffers from albino! :tsk:

Good You saw Pink and Not red as the colour Mynmar Iravadam as you normally see with names associated with Hindu Mythology!!

This is Sonu Iyer Since not much of Girls in our family we selected a bitch and called her Sonu ! (Doberman) and neighbours called her Sonu Iyer! She was with us for about 12 years Died 2 years ago! We do remember her on her death day and Pray at Bhairavar Sannadhi! Her name was included in the list when were doing Shardham at Gaya!

A cute white Pomeranian by name Romi ( he used to roam around a lot within the house!) was a member of an Iyer family.

One relative used to make fun by asking, 'When is Romi's poonool ceremony?' ;)
