Elder bride, Younger Groom marriage

Hi,
I am from Tamil Iyengar community, can I marry a boy from Tamil Iyer community, who is nearly 1 and half years younger than me? Both mine and his family comes from bit of orthodox tradition. Can this marriage be accepted among elders, please post your honest opinion, we both seek full parents approval.

Also please add your thoughts in case of- even if we are married, where can be the problems appear in future regarding age for both of us?

Dear Jana,
The questions are best answered by you.
If you like a person and he is a good person what can go wrong?
After all you are a female, he is a male.
Its a heterosexual marriage that is universally acceptable.
Secondly both of you are Hindus.
Next, both are Tamil Brahmins.

Regarding problems in the future.
That is normal but its also a sign of anxiety of the unknown.
Problems can happen even if your groom is an Iyengar.
Age..no big deal..its just 1and 1/2 years.

Last but not least..Shaiva and Vaishnava differences should not matter if a Hindu has a universal outlook.
