I had the opportunity to meet and talk with this gentleman once on business. He is a thorough professional. All such professional do a nishkAmya karmA. The world may think that they have been given a raw deal by not recognizing their contributions. But they are least bothered. They are happy doing what they do. Sreedharan may be just smiling.

E.Sreedharan is one of the best professionals that we had for a long time...He is a technocrat par excellence...The way he implemented the Konkan Rail project or the Delhi Metro project has won him several encomiums and he is a subject in many a MBA curriculum...He is a Project management wizard with his razor sharp planning and excellence in execution without cutting any corners in terms of cost, quality or safety...He is still working so hard despite a heart by pass surgery in 2010...

He is heading the Kochi Metro rail project now at the ripe age of 80 years

His life speaks volumes about his tenacity, perseverence, discipline, honesty and hard work
