doubt on thithi kaaryam for my father

Namaskaram!! My father passed away 15 days ago. All my 3 brothers are in Blore. Am the second son alone staying away. Is it important that I participate in all the monthly rituals or visit only the most important ones?? can somebody guide me ... ??

only the eldest son is having power to do monthly rituals. It is enough if you attend the first year ceremony.

If you can not participate in the ritual every month, But you may also adopt certain restrictions on those days of Maaasigam & Sothambam days every month by not taking NV items, not drinking and eating only one-time like... and also donate to some poor as you wish on those days. It is believed that, donations given on these days to poor (really the poor and needy who will bless you heartily- not the one who will always demand whatever you give without satisfaction like modern day sastrigals)) will directly reach the departed souls for their journey to other world.

Dear sir,
My father in law passed away om 29th June 2019.. we finished off all his 13 days karyam and we have been doing masiyam and finished oonam 27th and 45th one.. when coming to 6th Month our next oonam we found that dates our vadiyar gave us is mismatching. Can you please guide us with correct dates from our 4th masiyam to the varshavdigam.. with oonam dates too ...

Passed away on 29th June 2019

Tamil month aani 14th
