DONT STRIVE FOR HAPPINESS. WHY YOU SHOULD NOT BE HAPPY !!

well continuing from our earlier discussion on Good & Evil, how they co-exist. Happiness & Suffering also co-exist.

1. If you enjoy too much & you are very happy now, be scared, some disaster is around the corner. reduce your enjoyment immediately. Do charity, go out& help everyone. Build positive karma to avoid the disasters.

2. you have a lot of money, live like Warren Buffet, dont spend it except on the poor. if you live like Kennedys, you know the many many untimely deaths they faced.

3. you have a lot of suffering, be happy with the knowledge that this will pass& then you will face peaceful times.

4. if you are peaceful for a long time, be even more careful.

5. if you have everthing, tremendous wealth, happiness, marraige, kids, be very scared & immediately get into social service.

Some stats: US has the highest prosperity level (dont quote the current situation), for a long time, also has the highest cancer rate, obesity, diabetes, etc.. Japanese dont know how to enjoy life & they dont, they have the most highest centurions living today !!

I am sure all of us have heard, oh they had everything inlife, but what a unfortunate disaster or terrbile tragedy has happened to them !!

So cut down your happiness a lot, work hard in life, help people at all times. then you will be blessed with a long life & a safe one !

of course, our Vedas & puranas tell this through many stories & tales :)

reminds me of a joke.
An astrologer looks at a horoscope of an individual and tells him - he will have sufferings only up to the age of 56 - By then he will get used to it.

When we are happy, we are exhausting our good karma palan.

When we are unhappy we are exhausting our bad-karma-palan.

So which of these should be exhausted more than the other???

That depends on the bank balance of the good and the bad..our Sanchita Karma.
Karma is Karma....its good or bad according to our actions and reactions..both need to be exhausted.

That why its Sanchita Papa Vinashana Lingam Tat Pranamaami Sada Shiva Lingam

Small correction! - when you are happy, you are exhausting positive karma. when you are unhappy, helping the poor & needy, you are building positive karma !!

So what produces the negative karma?

Are all karmas only positive karmas?

So is the equation like

enjoyment = (-) of positive karmas.

sufferings = ( + ) of positive karmas??

enjoyment = (-) Karma
Suffering = (+) karma
Good deed = (+) karma
Bad deed = (-) karma

Based on whether you accumulate (+) karma or (-) karma, your next events are determined - happiness or sorrow. so if you enjoy too much, you will end up with sufferings & similarly vice versa.

56 years! That is tooooo long Sir! Once upon a time, retiring age.
