ABOVE SENTIMENTS

It is truly a wonder how Tamilians are indisputably above sentiments!!! Especially Tamil Brahmins have conquered sentiments and are rational in thinking.

Attempts to influence tamilians using the sentimental card meet with miserable failure.

Discussions and debates on sentimental topics are kept withing closed groups and never brought to open public forums.

Tamilians are rational in thinking, outlook, attitude, perception etc.

When it comes to public activities, for instance exercising suffrage, sentiments do not rule the minds of tamilians.

Let us discuss the factors that contributed to this quality of tamilians.

It is no wonder because both the tamils and the brahmins taken as separate groups have great culture. Great Culture teaches values, logic and how to blend both.

A disclaimer. It does not mean other groups do not have culture. India as a whole has vibrant culture though for quite some time languishing. I am not even attacking other nations. In other nations especially the western nations it is especially skewed towards logic. I think India has or at least had the best balance.

Don't hurt yourself by patting your own back. Tamilians are 6% in India. Out of that Brahmins are less than 3%. Rational Tamil Brahmins Including some unnamed suspects in this group will be one in million.:cool::cool:

Lol! But overall, I have to agree that Tamilians are relatively slightly more rational.
Even the recent " Kerala story" movie, the movie didnt attract many viewers in Tamil Nadu unlike other states.
May be Tamilians have a higher degree of tolerance and need something of a tsunami proportions to have a reaction for eg a political caste fight! Lol

In general, Mind is better developed than brain for Tamilians whereas especially for the foreigners brain is better developed than mind. As ever the ideal is the best of both.

Rationality which is the realm of brain is more learnable than empathy which is the realm of mind. So we find in accordance with the time many Tamilians have learnt to be rational and excelling in logic related professions too.

Whatever you have mentioned as 'mind', is that what others mean by 'soul'? Please clarify.

Mind is the ideal aspect of self whereas body is the pragmatic aspect of self. Both are connected. The stronger and more harmonious the connection, the more is felt the energy called soul. Once the harmony and strength are perfect , mind and soul become one. In other words there is no separation as mind, body and soul. They are then one with Atman, the divine soul.

Mind is ideal in the sense it seeks harmony and possesses higher qualities. But reality also consists of physicality. So the idealism needs to be tempered and strengthened. In the same way the physicality also needs to be refined and taught harmonious existence . So the projection of physical mental reality which through experiences learns the right balance of idealism and pragmatism for eternal and blissful existence. The ultimate reality is perfectly spiritual in nature.

God has both the ugra and the compassionate sides. It is a very fine balance between them one or the other manifesting in accordance with the situation. Generally the compassionate side is seen by His devotees and the ugra side by the evil. God is the ultimate spiritual entity. In Mahabharatha, the pandavas saw His compassionate side while the kauravas the other side.

Ancient India possessed great spiritual qualities with fine balance existing in society. This was due to correct grasping of truths and correctly putting into practice. The fine qualities are non existent not only in any nation but also in India. India needs to get back the balance if it has to exert the much needed right influence on the rest.

Our History is selectively curated memories, with our own biases. It is not a common History. It is not Tamlian, Indian, or human history.
Anyway, it is not the present. We should learn from our History but live in the present. Gloting on invented history is not going to save us.

Anything without context is shallow. Our past is the exemplar which should shape our present. Just as being oblivious of the surroundings is not right, so also ignoring the past. It is much more than gloating. Ancient India is anyone's golden standard.

You of all people should talk, what a joke. Ha-Ha.

The days of getting away with maligning own country and being ingratiating to foreign countries will soon be over. As they say traitors are worse than enemies.
